43 | Did Daniel bow when the 3 did not? | Daniel | srbaegon | 228984
Hello morleyde, There is no definitive statement concerning Daniel during this episode, so Bible teachers assume he was not present but off on an envoy mission for the king and was not affected by the decree. Steve |

Hello Kempy, The best we can say is that it was written to or for the nation of Israel (see http://bible.org/article/introduction-book-ruth). Steve |

47 | How do we be positive into a negative? | Bible general Archive 4 | srbaegon | 228957
Hello Linnie, The best way is to remember what has been accomplished for you because of the Lord Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection. (As an example, Eph 1:3-14.) Then determine to endure through the negative situations (2 Tim 2:1-7) and keep your eye on the prize (Phil 3:13-14). The apostle Paule lived for two days: today and that day (the day of the Lord's appearing). It should be the same with us. Steve |

48 | God's intervention in scriptures | Is 43:19 | srbaegon | 228955
Hello FAYTH, God's divine intervention begins in Genesis 1:1 and goes through the end of the Bible. Perhaps you have something more specific in mind. The only passage that has "behold I will do a new thing" is Isaiah 43:19, but I find no verse that states "call it forth in righteousness." Steve |

49 | Faithful without faith? | Heb 11:1 | srbaegon | 228953
Hello stellah44, The word "faithful" means "full of faith." If you have no faith, you cannot be faithful. Perhaps your real question is: Is a person able to persevere while questioning faith or without feeling faithful? Is that true, or did I miss the mark? Steve |

50 | At what point will I go to Heaven? | Phil 1:23 | srbaegon | 228939
Hello janierudack2, Yes, we go to heaven as soon as we die. The confusion is in the resurrection. As you note, the dead in Christ rise first, then we who are alive will be as well. That rising is described in 1 Cor 15. Those who have died will have their souls reunited with their bodies. Steve |

As to the Revelation writing, the Preterist view of eschatology (end things) views Jesus' prophecies of the end in Matthew to have all been fulfilled in the fall of Jerusalem in AD 70. Also, since Revelation does not mention a destroyed temple, it must have been written before that date. Steve |

53 | Prayer VS. Sin | Ps 66:18 | srbaegon | 228860
Hello Papa Bear, The direct passage you are looking for is probably this one: Psalm 66:18 If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. But there are others that consider the state of our spiritual lives before the Lord in regards to his willingness to act on our requests. James 4:1-3 What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you? You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. 1 John 3:21-22 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him. 57 | Will all have chance to accept Christ? | Rev 14:6 | srbaegon | 228546
Hello Godchaser77 and welcome, First, the only scripture that says the entire world will hear the gospel is Rev 14:6-7. At the time that is fulfilled we can rest assured all on earth have had opportunity to hear it. Second, Rom 1:19-21 makes plain that all instinctively know God exists, so that many openly reject Him even without hearing the gospel. Steve |

59 | what is a bible translation vs version | Bible general Archive 4 | srbaegon | 228462
Hello angel777, As used by most Christians and publishers, the terms are synonymous. Some might say that versions are a type of translation. For instance, NASB may be a translation with a Ryrie study edition being a version of that translation. Steve |
