41 | can all churches worship together as one | 1 Cor 11:18 | shalor | 102620
Eph 4: 3 being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. Paul tells us to preserve (not create) the unity in a bond of peace. The Unity of the church is through the Spirit as we all have the same calling. We don't all have to be under the same ecumenical body here on earth to be all united to God in the Spirit through Christ. |

43 | Kingdom of God...now? | Ephesians | shalor | 101314
The kingdom of God in an eternal Kingdom. It existed( exists, will exist) without reference to time. God's salvation through Grace gives us entrance into that kingdom now and in time eternal. Eph 1 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, Eph 2 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus, Eph 3 10 in order that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places. Eph 6 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. |

44 | What needs to be reconciled in heaven? | Col 1:20 | shalor | 102459
(Col 1:20-22 NASB) and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven. 21 And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, 22 yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach-- Col 1:20: (vv. 20-22) Notice that peace with God is made "through the blood of His cross." The substitutionary nature of this reconciliation (atonement) is seen in vv. 21, 22; from being "alienated and enemies in ... mind" because of works of wickedness, the Christian has moved in Christ to being "reconciled ... holy ... blameless ... above reproach in His sight." Christ, on the other hand, went from being the spotless Lamb of God to being sin on our behalf (cf. 2 Cor. 5:21). Any theology that denies the substitutionary atonement of Christ or neglects the saving power of His sacrifice and the necessity of His shed blood, no matter how impressive otherwise, is a false theology with no power to save. The cross of Christ is a constant reminder of proud mankind's inability to generate its own salvation. The substitutionary atonement is not one theory among many, but an eternal fact reflected in many scriptural metaphors. |

45 | once saved are we always saved? | Heb 6:4 | shalor | 101242
REV 5 4 And I began to weep greatly, because no one was found worthy to open the book, or to look into it; 5 and one of the elders said to me, "Stop weeping; behold, the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so as to open the book and its seven seals." John 10 27 "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; 28 and I give eternal life to them, and they shall never perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My hand. 29 "My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. 30 "I and the Father are one." Jesus is not only the lamb of God, but also the Lion of the tribe of Judah. If you can lose your Salvation then is the life he gives really eternal? And what does never perish mean if one can perish after salvation? If saved you are in the dtrong grip of the lion of the tribe of Judah and no on is able to snath you from that grip. |
