42 | How did God use circumstances.... | Acts 16:27 | Glory Bound | 134151
If the jailer had killed himself, he could have never known the saving grace of God. It is quiet likely that the fact that all the prisoners were still present, was a strong indication of the truth of Christianity to the jailer. A positive, and powerful influence. GB |

43 | Was Paul speaking a believer or not one | Rom 7:15 | Glory Bound | 133913
This is my favorite passage in Romans. Paul was most assuredly speaking as a believer. He was pointing out the battle that goes on in most believers. The battle between the sinful flesh, the lusts thereof, and the Godly desire for righteousness in the mind and soul of the believer. Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. These rulers are not only external, but only too often they are internal. GB |

44 | Praying for someone | Rom 8:28 | Glory Bound | 131137
The question is not Why? The Question is "How." How much faith do you have when you pray for someone? How much faith does that person have in the Word of God? Are you praying in accordance to Gods will; His word? Is it His will that your prayers be answered in accordance with your will, or His? Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. "All things work together for good... " "All things work together for good... " "All things work together for good... " If you meet this qualification; one who LOVES God; rest assured, you may think things are worse; they may be worse, but "ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER.... ALL THINGS..... ALL THINGS..... If you are a born again Christian, you are among "the called according to his purpose." I sincerely hope this helps. GB |

45 | why evangalise if God has already chosen | Rom 10:14 | Glory Bound | 130685
God knew before time who would and who would not accept his son. Thus, those He knew would, he called the chosen ones, or the elect. Do you know who is and who is not among the elect? Could it be that someone may not be among those chosen by God because you did not tell that someone about Jesus Christ, the son of God? GB |

46 | Correction | 1 Cor 8:5 | Glory Bound | 130948
Dear soul, you will only suffer if you lean on man. I have only known enough of the JW teachings to know without a doubt that it is not the teachings of my Lord Jesus Christ. Thus, like many, I shun them and their lies. If you are truly sincere in knowing Jesus as your Lord and savior, I would suggest, from all I have ever heard of them, GET AWAY FROM THEIR TEACHINGS, even if it means leaving your husband. If you are a truly convicted Christian, it may be that you could be the very tool God uses to convert your husband. BUT, do NOT listen to their teachings. If you don't have one, get a King James or New International Version of the Bible, read and study scripture for yourself. If you are not a Christian. If you are looking for the truth of Gods word, "get a King James or New International Version of the Bible, read and study scripture for yourself." You WILL learn the truth. You are looking for something. I have told you where to go to find it. You are as good and capable of studying the Word as any preacher. Listen, but do not depend on any man, or woman for truth. Learn it for yourself, then listen and learn from the knowledge "and the ignorance" of others. Please, do not reply to this note if, in any way you wish to defend the teachings of the JW. Keep in mind that, as in all professions, all who profess Christianity, do not nessisarily depict Christianity itself. I would put everyone in mind of what Paul stated in 2 Timothy 2:24-26. God Bless GB |

47 | God's truth | 1 Cor 8:5 | Glory Bound | 131022
Remember the following dear soul. 1Co 7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. 1Co 7:15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace. 1Co 7:16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife? Keep up the good fight, dear sister. GB |

48 | God's truth | 1 Cor 8:5 | Glory Bound | 131024
PS.... My first cousin was married to a JW for many years. She is a Christian of the Pentecostal persuasion. He is now a devout Christian. Thank you for your inspiring note. When you spoke of your children, I choked up. My eyes welled up and I couldn't speak for the utter joy. GB |

49 | I am a new Christian and I am trying to | 1 Cor 11:31 | Glory Bound | 130608
Scripture states, and I paraphrase, "nothing of itself is sin." For example, some think it is sinful to eat this or that. Paul says that it is not what goes in to the mouth; it is what comes out of the mouth that is sinful, for it comes from the heart. In the case of gambling; it is not a sin just because it is gambling. Just like everything else though, it can become a sin depending on the circumstances. Scripture also states that “anything” done to the excess is sin. Many think that gambling is sinful because the soldiers cast lots for Jesus’ cloak. If this were true, the disciples would have been sinning when the cast lots to see who would replace Judas. Sin originates as a thought. An Evil desire which when acted on eventually rears the ugly head of sin. If you have doubts concerning what may or may not be sinful, ask yourself the question, would Jesus participate with me in this activity. If you think not, then “to you it is sinful.” This does not mean that it may be sin to another. Many will state, “Sin is sin”! To a degree, they are right. But I would state from scripture “to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. Jam 4:17. Try judging your own actions in advance… 1Co 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. 1Co 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. 53 | Was NT Written in Greek or Hebrew? 1 | Eph 3:19 | Glory Bound | 130615
Other than scripture itself I make no claim of authority concerning an answer to this question, however I would like to inject my thoughts on the matter. It seems that your question has a rather simple answer consisting in the answers to the following questions. (1 and 2) Who wrote the book in question and to whom was the book written? First of all, the NT is more than just one book. It is 27 books with a number of authors, written to various churches and individuals, combined under one name. It is just that; The New Testament. It reveals that which was concealed in the Old. It seems reasonable to assume that if Paul were writing to a Greek Church or individual, he would not use Hebrew. Likewise, if he were writing to a Hebrew Church or individual, he would not use the Greek language and writings. Label me as you wish, but I firmly believe that the learned spawn ignorance and division when they look beyond the simplicity of Gods Word and attempt to complicate it with such trivial and "off the path" matters. I only voice the overall thoughts of scripture. GB |

54 | Too many questions? | Eph 4:18 | Glory Bound | 130469
Perhaps your answer lies in the book of Titus 3:8-11 "NIV" But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless. Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. After that, have nothing to do with him. You may be sure that such a man is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned. GB |

58 | Rule or Ideal? | 1 Tim 3:2 | Glory Bound | 129962
I doubt you mean it this way, but your thought could very well escalate in the same manor. In such a day as this, your phrase "one woman man" reeks with the stench of the same arguments that grew to advocate same sex marriage. Your thought could very well be interpreted as anti marriage. I know what you appear to be saying, but personally I do not feel right debating a matter which, stated as you have put it, could very well be the opposite of what it appears. If your question is sincere, you might wish to word it a little differently, for I wouldn’t know whether to debate your thought, or light a fire under it. GB |
