3286 | Did Jesus Need to Become Perfect? | Heb 2:10 | Searcher56 | 11430
Kat, Nolan did well answering. My point was that we need to be careful reading the Word. It says "to perfect the author of their salvation through sufferings." We know that the passage is talking about Christ. But, one could misunderstand that He needed to be perfected. Steve |

3287 | Inherit the Kingsom of God | Rom 2:6 | Searcher56 | 11408
The waters from the hot springs of Hierapolis were lukewarm by the time they reached Laodicea. It was nor good for drinking, so if someone tried to drink it, they would vomit out the water. This is what the Lord was saying. The hot waters could be used for a bath and ailments (they had a medical school in town) and the cold water could be drunk, to refresh. Lukewarm Christians make Him sick. It sounds like He could use cold Christians. Steve PS In Revelation 2-3, there are many play on words. It is a ver interesting study. |

3300 | Catholics and Heaven??? | Eph 2:8 | Searcher56 | 11238
Amen, Nolan. John 3:16-17 came to mind. Believe and you are saved, do not believe, you are not saved. You are right. The demonination doesn't matter. Tho I have talked with a Catholic priest and he did not want to give up what he had ... on the other hand I talked with a Baptist who said that he had been serving in the church for 50 years and God "better let him in." Sad to say neither man is getting in. Steve |
