302 | How does any Homosexual believe they are | Rom 1:19 | Pastor Glenn | 91446
Megiddo, You asked: "Are we not all sinners? " No. "Do we ever fully cease to be sinners? " Yes. A better question is do we ever truly repent? Also, are we ever truly born again? For those that have repented and are truly born again, the old sinner part is dying and will soon no longer be part of us. This is war. Spirit verses Flesh. But, walk after the Spirit and you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. "We are accepted into the Kingdom by grace, not by works. Do we deserve this? NO. Not one is good enough. " We are not only good enough; we are perfect through Christ Jesus' righteousness. Those that do not repent do not receive His righteousness. "Do I think Nineveh would have been saved without Jonah pointing out their sin? Only God knows this, but provided with the story God chose Jonah to do this...in the end the lesson becomes about Jonah...NOT Nineveh ..it's a story about trusting God's intentions. " No, it is not a story about trusting God's intentions. It is a story about repentance. Jesus spoke of the men of Nineveh rising in court on Judgment Day against this wicked generation, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah. "Jonah's main issue is that God forgave them after all they had put Jonah through." No, Jonah knew god would forgive them if they repented. "You bring up an interesting question: What it is mission of Christians? Can a homosexual call himself/herself a Christian? Absolutely! Why or how?” Can a homosexual that calls himself a Christian still call himself homosexual? Absolutely not! Why? 1 john 1 6If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. “Because being a Christian means that you have accepted God's gift of grace brought to us through Jesus...who died for our sins.” If you have not repented, then you have not accepted God’s gift. 303 | How does any Homosexual believe they are | Rom 1:19 | Pastor Glenn | 91427
Megiddo, You said: "I believe that while there may be biblical passages that condemn homosexuality, it is important to leave thier relationship with God between them and God. " Have you considered the fact that John the baptist was beheaded for speaking out against sin? Do you know the scriptures demand that we speak out and even ex-communicate the unrepentant one so that they may be ashamed? Do you think that the city of Ninevah would have repented and lived if Jonah had not preached to them? "How about I reframe the question "IS IT POSSIBLE FOR A HOMOSEXUAL TO DO THE WILL OF GOD EVEN IF LIVING A HOMOSEXUAL LIFESTYLE MAKES THEM A SINNER?"" No, it is not possible to truly do the will of God by staying in sin and refusing to repent. That reminds me that there was some church that recently voted a homosexual to the office of Bishop!? It also reminds me of the scriptures: Rev 2 20Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow[3] that woman[4] Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce[5] My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. 21And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent.[6] 22Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their[7] deeds. 23I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works. Pastor Glenn |

"Whether such Scripture twisting is done deliberately or in ignorance, it is still Scripture twisting." I respectfully disagree. I see "Twisting" as a purposeful act. I must admit that I was also confused about this verse until I prayed about it after reading posts from both yourself and Graceful. May God help us all to better understand His word, as well as, each other's point of view. Remember that demonstrated love is all about doing unto others as we would have them do unto us. So, it helps to try to understand why a person believes the way they do. I want others to really see why I believe what I believe, then they can better correct me at the heart of the matter. 305 | Release and Faith Question | Rev 22:18 | Pastor Glenn | 91364
Radioman, The article fails to deal with the key verse, Heb 11:3. It claims that: "'Copeland derives his definition of faith from Hebrews 11:1: "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (KJV). ..." "God did frame the worlds and all things by faith and His Word. Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. " This teaching comes mostly by a misunderstanding of this verse. "Through faith 'we' understand...". By our faith we understand, rather than, "by God's faith He framed the worlds". Pastor Glenn |

307 | God selection for His protection | Rom 8:32 | Pastor Glenn | 91359
Confusing, You asked: "Are you saying that Cain has no choice but to kill abel because it was the plan of God? " No, Cain had a choice. God tried to council Cain to do what was right, but the sins of jealousy, selfishness, and self pride ruled his heart. "if the killing of abel is a purpose then it seems that cain was born just to kill abel because it is the purpose of God? " No, Cain had a choice. God does not create evil. Gen 4 6So the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? 7If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it." "it is the nature of God to design someone life to kill? No. God sets life and death before us. He then tells us to choose life. But, many choose death instead. This is what happened with the "tree of life" and the "tree of the knowlede of good and evil" in the garden of Eden. Deuteronomy 30:15 "See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; Jeremiah 21:8 "Now you shall say to this people, "Thus says the LORD: "Behold, I set before you the way of life and the way of death. "About the saving of our sins through Jesus Christ, I think God did that because otherwise if there is no one save He will lose the battle against satan." God cannot lose, but we can. Accepting Jesus is our choice for life. Pastor Glenn |

308 | If Jesus did it, way can't I? | John 1:1 | Pastor Glenn | 91215
Tim, I wanted to add to what Radioman and yourself said, the focus on "Jehovah" is totally misplaced emphasis. The scriptures already have the emphasis on the name of the Son! You said: "The JW's try to make this practice into some kind of conspiracy." I have pointed out to Truthfinder that the great error is really the "spirit of anti-Christ", not "anti-Jehovah". But, he has not responded to this point. The bible is clear that there is no other name given among men by which we must be saved. John 3 18"He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Pastor Glenn |

310 | God selection for His protection | Rom 8:32 | Pastor Glenn | 91158
confusing, Welcome back to the forum. God protected Jesus for a time, but He came into the world for the purpose of dying for our sins. He was greater than Abel, because Christ was perfect, but God did not spare Him: Romans 8 28And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter."[3] 37Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Also, we are pilgrims in this world. But death is not final: Hebrews 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth: 1 corinthians 15 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed-- 52in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory." 55"O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?" 56The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Pastor Glenn |

311 | What common beliefs does the Forum have? | Mark 9:39 | Pastor Glenn | 91150
justme, I believe in the virgin birth. By the way, it seems that Jesus set the limits very well in Mark 9 38 Now John answered Him, saying, "Teacher, we saw someone who does not follow us casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow us." 39But Jesus said, "Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of Me. 40For he who is not against us is on our side. 41For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward. 42 "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea. 312 | HOW did He take our sin upon Himself? | 2 Cor 5:21 | Pastor Glenn | 91142
Parable, This is a very complex set of questions. The bible has a lot to say about them in many different places. You asked: "What I do not understand, is HOW those sins were taken up by Him, " Jesus is the great sacrificial Lamb. Without the sheding of blood there is no remission of sins. Acts 10:43 To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins." Hebrews 9:22 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission. "HOW those sins were crucified with Him, " We are born again of the spirit. Flesh and blood of our natural selves shall not inherit the kingdom of heaven. Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. Colossians 3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: One thing that is very hard for us to understand is eternity. God uses an eternal Lamb to take away the sins of all that accept Him by faith for all time. Time is meaningless for His sacrifice. Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. "and HOW He was made sin in our place." Read all of Hebrews 9. Heb 11 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them,[3] embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland. 15And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. 16But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them. Pastor Glenn |

313 | What is a cult? | Matt 18:6 | Pastor Glenn | 90728
Truthfinder, You said that you are no longer a Jehovah's Witness. I wonder if that has changed again. You said, "Clearly, cults are generally understood to be religious groups with radical views and practices that clash with what is accepted today as normal social behavior." What is a cult? The bible has something to say about "the spirit of error". When the bible warns against the spirit of "anti-Christ", it refers also to the spirit of error. Whereas, the Witnesses warn against "anti-Jehovah", while also belittle-ing Christ as the angel Michael. It seems that they have mis-identified the wrong "Door". This is an enormous error! Why? 1 John 4 1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3and every spirit that does not confess that[1] Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. 4You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. 6We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. They are so concerned about "small" things like using the name Jehovah. They look down on the use of "LORD" instead of "Jehovah". However, I notice that they have no problem with the huge error of calling the Holy Spirit an "active force", while the bible warns against blaspheme against the Holy Spirit. Why? The "radical views" of the Jehovah's witnesses are very appearent. Pastor Glenn |

314 | creationish, traducianism and human life | Bible general Archive 1 | Pastor Glenn | 90097
Mel Dillon, Emmaus answered all but your last question. You also asked: "...When does human life begin?" Physically, human life is a continuation of life from Adam and Eve until now. So life begins at conception, in that a new soul begins, but again, life is a continuation. There is no period of time where anyone can truly say that a fetus is without life. Every abortion stops a beating heart. Pastor Glenn |

There is nothing wrong with discussing things with others. However, godly council is best: 2 Cor 6 14Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 15What harmony is there between Christ and Belial[2] ? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? 16What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people."[3] 17"Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you."[4] 18"I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty." |

317 | Putting 2 and 2 together | Rom 14:12 | Pastor Glenn | 89835
Schmythe, EdB simply gave an analysis of man's sinful nature versus God's perfection and holiness. Many scriptures taken together tell us how man shys away from God's light, due to their sinful nature. John 3 19This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God." Exodus 19 21 and the LORD said to him, "Go down and warn the people so they do not force their way through to see the LORD and many of them perish. 22 Even the priests, who approach the LORD , must consecrate themselves, or the LORD will break out against them." Exodus 20 18 When the people saw the thunder and lightning and heard the trumpet and saw the mountain in smoke, they trembled with fear. They stayed at a distance 19 and said to Moses, "Speak to us yourself and we will listen. But do not have God speak to us or we will die." |

Schmythe, You asked: "you seem to say that the answer to everyhthing can be found if we look for it in the bible. I am curious in what verse does it say that the jews of this time wanted a king so they would not have to deal with God?" This can be found in 1 Samuel chapter 8. Also, 2 Tim 3 15and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. |

320 | How important is self esteem? | Ezek 16:44 | Pastor Glenn | 89709
mommapbs, As a pastor I am very concerned with the un-repentent one. You said: "...I recognize my rebellion and repent in Godly sorrow (not to be confused with "low self esteem"!)and reflect upon who God says I am! This changes the way I think, and frees me from "performance" oriented living. It also gives me an understanding and compassion for others who are still in the grip of rebellion and "idolatry"! " How do we keep from giving the wrong impression to the lost; that Christ will accept them without their repenting? Keep in mind that the Jews of Ezekiel 16 were stuck in pride also: 56For your sister Sodom was not a byword in your mouth in the days of your pride, 57before your wickedness was uncovered. It was like the time of the reproach of the daughters of Syria[3] and all those around her, and of the daughters of the Philistines, who despise you everywhere. 58You have paid for your lewdness and your abominations," says the LORD. 59For thus says the Lord GOD: "I will deal with you as you have done, who despised the oath by breaking the covenant.
