302 | Any scriptures on slain in spirit? | Bible general Archive 1 | inmyheart | 50291
Hello enriched, I tried looking up rapture in the bible, and I couldn't find the word. I once witnessed a person receiving Christ into their life and that person began to cry, but I saw another person receiving salvation with no emotion at all. I've seen people prayed over (laying on of hands) and walked back to their seat, and I've seen others that looked as if they been struck by lightning. Some churches are quiet and others not so quiet! My point is, There is a lot of denominations out there that have different practices. If you want to go to a church where they show a lot of excitement for God, fine. Just go to a church where the Word of God is being taught and grow in your walk. Now let's talk about the rapture, is it pre, mid or post ? LOL :) just kidding! God bless you my friend |

303 | Why mean notes and answers? | Ephesians | inmyheart | 50194
Hello justme, Only the individuals you speak of can answer that. Don't make other people's problems yours. Lets be real here, not everyone on this forum or even in the local body of believers where you fellowship will always agree, as you are already finding out :) but the Word of God says, "for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh, Luke 6:45b (KJV), so we see what really is in a person by what he speaks. I took the time to read your personal profile, and you stated "I believe the renewal of the inner person becoming Christlike, is not accomplished in a moment but a lifetime" there you said it, people that are in the process of becoming Christlike are making their mistakes! being mature we should understand where they are coming from. If they knew what they were doing, they wouldn't being doing it! Paul writes about this in Romans 7:15, some people have not arrived to Romans 7:25. May I suggest that you keep your armor on at all times, even on the forum :) What better place than this, that the enemy will attack you when you least expect it!!! Let me close with this scripture my brother, "But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." 1Corinthians 15:57-58 (KJV). Be encourage my friend, for the Lord your God shall "never leave you nor forsake you." Your brother inmyheart, Proverbs 4:7 |

304 | is this a passage for second coming? | Matt 25:1 | inmyheart | 50090
Greetings, Here is another source taken from the Blue letter Bible Commentary; Matthew 25:1 - The parable of the ten virgins 1. Ten virgins go out to meet a bridegroom at a wedding a. There were three stages to a Jewish wedding in that day: "engagement" (a formal agreement made by the fathers), "betrothal" (the ceremony where mutual promises are made), and "marriage" (approximately one year later when the bridegroom comes at an unexpected time for his bride) b. In this parable, the first two stages have already taken place; now the wedding party (the ten virgins) await the coming of the bridegroom for his bride c. Why does Jesus describe ten virgins? Talmudic authorities affirm that there usually ten lamps used in a bridal procession 2. (Verse 2-13)The young women caught unprepared are denied entry a. These young women were outwardly prepared (they had their lamps in hand), but yet not really ready for the coming of the bridegroom b. What did they lack in their readiness? "Oil," Which is emblematic of the Holy Spirit; only He can make us really ready for the coming of the Jesus i. No one can be a true Christian without the indwelling Holy Spirit - "now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His (Romans 8:9); these virigins had the appearance of readiness, but thay lacked the critical ingredient c. How can we make sure that we don't lack in our readiness? Ask for the Holy Spirit (Luke 11:13), and walk in the Spirit d. In addition, we see that if we are not ready, no one else can protect us; not because no one will, but because no one can 3. The point of this parable is simple: be ready! Blessings to you my friend |

307 | inmyheart, could Paul be sarcastic? | Acts | inmyheart | 49287
My friend, Paul has never been sarcastic in any of his inspired writings! What I'm saying is, why do some feel or want to ignore the "gift" of tongues? All the gifts of the Spirit are important! The whole Bible is written, as you know, for a pupose. Once again thanks for responding, I want to hear from someone who is not one sided in their understanding. God blessings |

309 | Are we still under the Ten Commandments? | Bible general Archive 1 | inmyheart | 48567
Yes and No. Yes we are to abide by the Ten Commandments, and No we are not under the Ten Commandments. To break any one of them was to be under the curse of death, no man was able to live under the commandments, except Jesus. We are saved and live by Grace. (Eph 2:5)
310 | Come as you are | Bible general Archive 1 | inmyheart | 48560
When I was growing up, you had to put on "your Sunday's best." It got to the point if you didn't have "the best" you just don't go. Do we go to church to look our best, or do we go to receive the best. The youth of today are very intelligent people, and they can see right through all that nonsense. I think we try to hard to have our youth to look and act like we did. The way I see it, Thank God they are in church! Let God speak to their heart to dress accordingly. God always beckons people to "come as you are". |

315 | Catholic and Mary, what's the deal | Bible general Archive 1 | inmyheart | 48037
Hi, I only want to agree with you. I was raised Catholic, and I still don't know what that means, spiritually speaking. Looking back, to me it was a way to satisfy my need to "know" God. My life proved that God was not in my life, no matter how many "hail Mary's" I recited! John 14:6, says that (Jesus speaking), "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no man comes unto the Father, but by me." I mean is that clear enough? To me it is! Do you think that Mary had to be saved? There will be someone who will be able to give a little more insight, and I'll be looking for an explaination too. God bless you. |
