243 | calling all sinners | Matt 13:11 | ebrain | 160816
Thank you Doc for your post. As you will see from my post to WOS, if the greatest teacher the world has ever known, or ever will know needed to say what He did at John 7:17, then it goes without saying that all other teachers will need to do the same.. What we must not forget is that it is the same Holy Spirit who gives ilumination to both the reader, and the listener. May the Lord bless you, and keep you safe. ebrain. |

244 | calling all sinners | Matt 13:11 | ebrain | 160813
Thank you WOS for your post. I am well aware that God has apointed teachers in the church, (1st Cor Ch 12 v 28), and what's more I have been greatly blessed by such teachers. I was in no way implying that we don't need teachers, in fact the verses I refered to by way of trying to help some one to understand the written word, were in fact spoken by the Living Word, when teaching in the temple, See John Ch 7 vs 14-18. May the Lord bless you abundantly. ebrain. |

245 | calling all sinners | Matt 13:11 | ebrain | 160785
In support of what Doc has posted, let me add John Ch 6 vs 44, and 65, also Romans Ch 8 vs 28-30. This is a difficult subject. It is not my intention to explain what I believe these verses teach, but rather allow the Holy Spirit to do that for you as you read them. Make sure that you allways read Scripture verses in their context, and allways do what Jesus told you to do as revealed at John Ch 7 vs 16-17. If when you read, it is your will that God's will be done, and you really mean it, then you will know exactly what God is saying to you. Not "you will find out" as NIV translates, but you will "know" there and then as you read. God is awesome, boy is He awesome. Praise His Holy Name. ebrain. |

246 | the perfect couple deal with nakedness | Gen 2:25 | ebrain | 160784
There is nothing to be ashamed of about the naked human body that God had made. Shame did not exist when man was sinless, but came into existance as a result of man becoming a sinner. Only fallen mankind could regard as shamefull what a pure and Holy God had made. |

247 | Christ waslking through hell | Ezek 31:1 | ebrain | 160710
There is no Biblical referance that I am aware of that speaks of Christ walking through hell. Just before He died upon the cross He said "it is finished", in other words "nothing further is frquired". There is a Scripture that some people think indicates this, ie, 1st Peter Ch 3 v 19, however, it refers to the Spirit of Christ in Noah proclaiming to the people in Noah's day, (who are now in prison) just what was going to happen to them if they did not repent. I hope this is of some help. The Lord bless you. ebrain. |

248 | Did Eve hope she would be Jesus mother ? | Gen 4:1 | ebrain | 160598
Thank you Mark, and Kalos for your input, perhaps Eve was overjoyed because she had produced the "seed" that would bruise the head of Satan refered to in Gen Ch 3 v 15. Thank's again for your help. The Lord bless you. ebrain, |

Thank you again Hank, this time for your kind words of welcome. I am a little older than you having been born in December 1931. Oh! and by the way I must be half American, as my father was born in the States. I was not aware of the possible connection between our National Poet, and Psalm 46, thank's for that, it's most interesting. Allow me to share with you somthing about the No 7 which I understand indicates Divine perfection, and completion. A number of years ago I found myself wondering if Biblical numbers could also be found in other translations, for example English. To this end I looked at the very first verse in the Bible namely Gen Ch 1 v 1, and decided to try 'created' as it has 7 leters, (in Hebrew only 4 letters). God said 'I am the first and the last', Hebrew does not have a seperate set of shapes for numbers as we do in English, but ascribes to each letter a number, A is 1, B is 2, C is 3, and so on, now just suppose that we had the same, then the first and the last letters of 'created' would have a value of 3 and 4 which when added together make 7. Now suppose we give neumeric values to all the letters, and add them up, then the total is 308, a number that can be divided exactly by 7 whith none left over. Note, After the 10th letter J, the next K is 20, L is 30, M is 40, and so on up to 100, and then the next is 200 etc, etc. How about that then 3 lots of severn's, and what does 3 indicate but Trinity More later, the Lord bless you,and yours. ebrain. |

Thank you Hank for your post on 216. I have allways been interested in Biblical numerology, and think that you might just find the folowing of interest. A man said to his friend, I would very much like to be in the center of the will of God. His friend replied, Perhaps we will find advice on this in the center of the Bible. How can we find the centre of the Bible?. Well the Book of Psalm's is near the middle, perhaps it is in there someware, yes but which Psalm do we look for?. I wonder if it might be someware between the longest, and the shortest?. 117 is the shortest, and 119 is the longest, could it then be 118?, yes but in any case how can we be sure that 118 is indeed in the centre. Let us consider that all the Psalm's represent Chapters, and count how many Chapters there are each side of 118. The total in each case is 594, so it must be 118, but which verse?, well if we add 594 to 594 we get 1188, could this be indicating that verse 8 is the one in question?. Well read that verse, and see what you think. More another time. Every blessing. ebrain. |

251 | Aliennow Can Satan enter belivers heart | Matt 5:13 | ebrain | 160342
Thank you CDBJ for your comments. Please look first at my input 3 lines above yours entitled "Yes but what is Aliennow's understanding". I am indeed well aware of the OT Saints, but the question which started my reply's is "Was Judas Iscariot a believer?". The answer is he was not. The questioner then went on to ask "Can Satan enter a belivers heart". Again the answer is no. Rightly or wrongly I concluded that the questioner was not asking about people before Judas, but Judas, and subsequent persons. Remember all His followers deserted Jesus and left Him to die alone, their state of mind is clearly spelt out for us in Luke Ch 24 v 21, "but we had hoped etc etc". Then there is Thomas, and what about John Ch 21. Peter, and others went back fishing, Jesus had to say "do you love me Peter". Later on yes, but even on the day that Jesus rose from the dead they were unsure. If you wish to ask me any questions, then please feel free to do so either on this website, or at the e-mail address, given in my Profile. May the Lord bless you. ebrain. |

252 | Blasphemy against the Spirit | Matt 12:32 | ebrain | 160331
Allow me to add a litle to what I have allready said on this subject. Have a look firstly at John Ch 3 v 13, "no one has aascended into heaven except he who decended from heaven, the Son of Man" Now look at Hosea Ch 5 v 15, "I will return again to my place, untill they acknowledge their guilt and seek my face, and in their distress earnestly seek me". The Hebrew word translated "guilt" is singular and refers to one national sin only, the rejection by the Jews of their anointed one, Jesus the Christ. Up to the end of Matthew Ch 12, Jesus had made it quite clear that He was that person, after His rejection, He told His followers to tell no one that He was the Christ. The Pharisees had taught that anyone could perform miracles who was empowered to do so by the Holy Spirit, but that there were certain miricles that only the Christ when he came would be able to perform. One of these was to cast out a mute/dumb spirit. When He did this as shown at Matthew Ch 12 vs 22-32, the people said to the Pharisees "is not this the Son of David", in other words this man has just done what you have allways told us could only be done by the Christ?. The Scribes and Pharisees knew full well who He was, but they enjoyed their position of power, and authority too much to "allow this man to rule over them". The unforgivable sin, the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit was their rejection, and thereby the nations rejection of the one who God had sent to save them. As a matter of interest, other miracles that they maintained only Christ would be able to perform were, opening the eyes of one born blind. healing lepers, and raising back to life a person who had been dead more than 3 days. I hope that this is of some help. Christian love. ebrain. P.S. If you wish I can explain just why the Pharisees selected these 4 miracles. |

255 | Aliennow Can Satan enter belivers heart | Matt 5:13 | ebrain | 160292
Yes but what is Aliennow's understanding of the word beleiver, I took it to mean a Christian, one who has received Jesus as Saviour,-- perhaps I was wrong?. I do not see how, within the context of this web site it can mean anything other than one who accepts the Word of God, and it's message as being true. |

257 | Whats the major reson for sunday worship | Bible general Archive 3 | ebrain | 160169
Thank you David for your note. The verses you have quoted have nothing whatsoever to do with Christian Believers meeting on the last day of the week. All of them in fact refer to Paul a Jew, taking the Gospel to "the Jews first", which he did when all the Jews living ia a particular locality were all in one place at one time, ie in their Synagogue on the Sabbath. If you read the verses you quote in their context, this will become apparent. Please read 1st Corinthians Ch 16 vs 1-5, and also Acts Ch 20 v 7, which clearly indicates that Belivers met on the first day of the week. This day was also refered to as "the Lord's day", see Revelation Ch 1 v 10. May the Lord bless you, and keep you safe, ebrain. |

258 | Cains Wife | Gen 5:4 | ebrain | 160153
Thank you Eden for your input, it is most helpfull. The question is not so much the question, but rather why was it asked in the first place, does it matter where Cain got his wife from?. Scripture tells us what we need to know, but does not reveal what we do not need to know. The Lord bless you. ebrain. |
