YOU ARE ONE WHO ACCUSES THE Brethren FALSELY... SO WHAT ARE YOU... THE ANTI_CHRIST and you the ADVERSARY or FATHER OF LIARS? I doubt it. I doubt it very much. I will give you what you want... and that is get my butt off of your forum. I bid you farewell. God's peace upon all of you here who will continue to worship Christ in Spirit and Truth. |

22 | Do you seek God before you post? | Bible general Archive 2 | khuck | 103637
ooops sorry Searcher here is the verse for my question... (I guess that is what you have found WRONG with my post this time) Proverbs 3 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. [1] 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. ...and BTW why did you post these rules? I am well aware of them and I heed them in my post. I am interested in answers to my original post, but thank you all the same for your attempt. Q. Dearest Readers, How many posters answering questions on this forum acknowledge God (not the resource that we all research) But actually go to Him to seek His wisdom and to ask for Christlike attributes in the answers that you post. -khuck |

23 | Are we supposed to observe the Sabbath? | Bible general Archive 2 | khuck | 103642
Examine yourself Searcher, when you call me an anti-christ because I refuse to interpret something as you do. I confess Christ as my Lord and Savior, I preach Christ to inner city teens and young adults as a Youth Minister at Ambassadors for Christ Christian Church, and I am also a founding member and the web designer for Northbound Community Church in Thousand Oaks, CA (see our beliefs and mission at northboundcc.org) In light of these facts if you will say that I am against Christ or anti Christ... then in light of the following verse are you also against Him? Whoever Is Not Against Us Is for Us Mark 9:38 "Teacher," said John, "we saw a man driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us." "Do not stop him," Jesus said. "No one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, for whoever is not against us is for us. I tell you the truth, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to Christ will certainly not lose his reward. -khuck |

Wow Noble... You have cleared up so much in your post. With the demand put upon me to submit to the 2 posters.. I was under the impression that they were the Moderators and in fact possibly owners of this forum. Sincerely believing this to be true, I figured it would be best to leave the forum without further offending them or other brothers and sisters in Christ. I do not want to come off as if I am compelling anyone to do or say as I do, or to believe as I do. But mostly I do not like to see strife between all of us who share in the Gift of God! Please forgive my misconception as to how this site was run. your friend and sister in Christ, Kathy |

I am so very sorry Ed, It is hilarious to me when I am labelled to be against Christ. And I sincerely apologize to anyone who is offended by my assertion. There was no LOL in my original posts (re: Stigmata or Sabbath), I answered the questions and posted commentary, history and articles backing why "I believe as I do", along with my personal beliefs. One of the respondents chose to call me anti christ, and in the stigmata post... neither have bothered to tell me where my post was incorrect, or refute my personal belief. Nor have they conceded that they misread my response, regarding stigmata. Therefore no disrespect to you a loving brother in the Lord, but I personally found it to be ironic and hilarious. If this offended you... I ask again that you will please forgive me and in the future, I will keep my humor to myself. It is NOT my intention to be offensive, and arguementative. God's Peace be upon us -Kathy |

Makarios, With Christ's Love to you, My Dear brother you are preaching to the choir here. I agree that to argue this is a moot point. Your post therefore may be better served to my critics. I answered a question responding, as to why "I" worship on Sundays, and I was labelled to be against Christ. I say worship Him at all times! May we walk in His Peace, -Kathy |

29 | Are we supposed to observe the Sabbath? | Bible general Archive 2 | khuck | 103665
Dearest Searcher; There is nothing that I have against you, if I did, I would have said as much. My intention was to disprove any notion that because we see a verse or belief differently, does not put YOU or I against our Lord the Christ Jesus, nor does such a circumstance require that we be labelled anti-christ. I would be remiss to let you apologize for something so untrue. You owe me no apology for the reason you submit. Now... let the Peace that surpasses "ALL" understanding abide with you and me. I promise you, I am in Him, _Kathy |

Hello again Searcher. The post was attributed to you and it was sent to me... it only consisted of the rules for posting and no answer to my question. So I assumed you were the sender, since it has your username and does not say Lockman. Are you Lockman? Why was this sent to me via your user ID. I am confused. |

Searcher... I stand by my post. And I disagree with you. I have no desire to correct your thinking and I wonder how can you possibly undertake correcting mine? That is a rather arrogant statement. My original intention was to explain why, "I, me, Kathy Huck), choose to worship on Sunday. I used commentary and articles that substantiate my behavior. I will not say that any of these are the final authority, nor will I say that you are. I never mentioned passive active or medium voices. And I have made it clear and now I ask you with every bit of humility within me, let His Peace abide with us. I truly tire of this and I hope you will not think me to be rude if I not respond to anymore comments from you to me regarding this subject. God Bless you, -khuck |

32 | is headcovering valid now? | Bible general Archive 2 | khuck | 103674
I have always been taught and believe that Paul is referring to the practice of the Corinthian prostitues, who wore their hair very short, and a Christian woman behaving in this same manner would bring shame upon her husband who is also her head. (This is a historical reference.) I have posted this excerpt from the Coffman Commentaries to substantiate my belief. ***With her head unveiled ... The word here rendered "unveiled" is [Greek: akatakaluptos]. "There is no intrinsic meaning in this word which suggests either the covering material or the object covered; it is simply a general word." [Katakaluptos] means covered completely. [Akatakaluptos] means not completely covered. Thus again, the passage falls short of mentioning any kind of garment. To suppose that Paul here meant "mantle" or "veil" or any such thing is to import into this text what is not in it. We have seen that he was speaking of "hair" in 1 Cor. 11:4; and that is exactly what he is speaking of here. "Not completely covered" would then refer to the disgraceful conduct of the Corinthian women in cropping their hair, after the manner of the notorious Corinthian prostitutes; which, if they did it, was exactly the same kind of disgrace as if they had shaved their heads. It is crystal clear that Paul is not speaking of any kind of garment; because he said in 1 Cor. 11:15, below, "For her hair is given her instead of a covering." Only in 1 Cor. 11:15 does Paul mention any kind of garment ([Greek: peribolaion]) and even there he stated that the woman's hair took the place of it. Dishonoreth her head ... Understanding the "unveiled" in the preceding clause as a reference to cropping her hair explains this. Any man's wife adopting the style of the notorious "priestesses" on the Acro Corinthus would bring shame and dishonor upon her "head," that is, her husband, who would thus be scandalized in the conduct of his wife. Also, from this, it is clear that in 1 Cor. 11:4, man's "head," which is Christ, is the one dishonored there. Thus the thing which concerned Paul here was the arrogant adoption of the hairstyle (by women) of the shameless priestesses of Aphrodite. Is there any lesson for modern Christians in this? Indeed there is. Any time that Christian men or women adopt styles, whether of clothing or hair, which are widely accepted as immoral, anti-social, anti-establishment, or in any manner degrading, such actions constitute a violation of what is taught here (by Paul). *** -khuck |

33 | are we allowed to drink alcohol. | Bible general Archive 2 | khuck | 103675
There is no prohibition in real terms but many warnings: But one should never be a drunkard. Ephesians 5:18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. 1 Timothy 5:23 Stop drinking only water, and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses. 1 Timothy 3:8 Deacons, likewise, are to be men worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain. Proverbs 20:1 Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise. Proverbs 31:4 "It is not for kings, O Lemuel- not for kings to drink wine, not for rulers to crave beer, Titus 2:3 Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Romans 14:1 Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters. 2 One man's faith allows him to eat everything, but another man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. 3 The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him. 5 One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord. He who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. 19 Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. 20 Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. 21 It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother to fall. 22 So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the man who does not condemn himself by what he approves. 23 But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin. |

Hello Searcher Did I violate any of these rules? I was not unhappy with any of the responses, since I had not gotten any? I am missing something here... at any rate, like I have said before, I am not the brightest crayon in the box (grin). I have no idea why you sent the rules still. But it is behind me. Since reposting the original question, I am now getting some response. -Kathy |

35 | What month was Jesus born in? | Bible general Archive 2 | khuck | 103738
Hi EdB... I have always been told that it was possibly September too. But I have never been inquisitive enough to research it. (lazy? **grin**) Can you possibly direct me to a resource where I can get more information. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, -Kathy |

Dearest EdB... Please let me be the first say that both you and searcher should understand by now that I never imply or subtly come across, I am rather candid in my meanings. I told someone that one day soon I would have the nerve to post my question soon. I think I used the words have the audacity. That I posted well before Searcher's probing of the responses I made to stigmata and or sabbath. So since that was not the case I accept your apology. I often add (grin) (lol) or :) to a post, I am just one of those people who is not continuously solemn or serious. I have a great joy, and believe it or not... I can hardly stop smiling. I get so much joy when I think of Him. And I often find humor in people. I would not post something outside of a thread to take a jab at anyone. You have yet to see me hit anyone below the belt. I for one do not believe that God has no humor, after all He created me:) When I post to a thread I say in no uncertain terms what I mean. Contrary to his belief, I have nothing at all against Searcher. As a matter of fact I only took offense to him stating that I was against Christ, and I said as much, and that was that. But please believe me that I have never used nor would I, this forum as a weapon of revenge. I have no battles... they are all the Lord's. I don't even know if you are aware that on the subject of Searcher, I have given it to He who is able to bring peace to all things. I have vowed to hold my peace and let God handle the situation. I have not come to fight or debate. But to be light where God chooses. You say that Searcher and I are locked in a war of words... not my war... not my words (his war is with the one whose article I quoted). I only stated why I, Kathy believe as I, kathy do. Using resources that support my, kathy huck's belief. If anyone disagrees, I respect their right to do just that. But no one has the right to insinuate that they will correct my thinking nor I theirs. So my question was NOT directed to seacher, but to those who choose to post to this forum. It was not facetious or due to any unhappiness with peoples post LOL. I have never found myself to be unhappy with what people post. I think too many assumptions are made and too much is being read into what I post. Think of me in the most simplistic sense, I am not complicated or deep. And If you had followed your first thought you would have indeed been right on track, with the Spirit in which my question was posed. "My first thought was to respond back with Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way." God is! -Kathy |

Dearest Makarios, I am so familiar with your profile. It is one of the most complete that I have read, your Condensed Christian Autobiography of sort, your testimony and a wealth of great resources. (which by the way I take full advantage of LOL) Which also explains my familiarity with it... I visit it often :) Makarios you are truly "Blessed" Thank you for responding you, add a new element to my query. Now I ask myself will my post encourage another in their Spiritual walk? Yours in Christ, -Kathy |

Hi EdB :) I will leave you to your opinions of me, you are truly entitled to them. I am sorry that you have such a low opinion of me, but please do not feel sorry for me, I am a child of God, be happy for me. If I am all that you have stated, and yet a child of God, praise be unto the One who is able to heal whatever you believe to be my great defect. As I said the question was asked in pure earnest. I hope that the KHack was just a typo and not an attempt at an insult (I too can be lead to assumptions(smile). There maybe some who will respond "No, I do not" or "yes I often seek God's guidance first." I asked the question because I was about to respond to a post (my first) regarding the depression of someone's sister and there was a strong pull within me to pray and seek God's wisdom before I responded to the post. Having this experience, I was curious to know and therefore ask, if there were any posters that do this in practice? No subversive reasons were intended to stir up disharmony. I have never posed a question before now, so my probing questions is a moot point and this query has become bigger than the intent. I do not feign humility, I try to practice it in all things, in order that I do not offend anyone. Not to say that I am always successful, but the Lord knows that I do try. And please do not apologize for your opinion of me, whether you have misjudged me or not you have let your feelings be known, and that is alright with me. And I ain't mad at ya (smile) I sincerely hold no ill will towards you for it. And yet let His Peace that surpasses the understanding of mankind... abide with us! A true Believer in His Grace, (KHUCK) P.S. and if you search my posts, I did remark before all of this (what I view as misconceptions) that I would one day get up the nerve to post my little question. |

EdB I am so glad that you brought up Rosh Hashanah and it's place in the scheme of these things, I did pose a question to Makarios, regarding this and if you find no offense in my asking, I would like any further light you may share on this very Feast and it's regard to Christ. Peace to you, -khuck |

40 | Do you seek God before you post? | Bible general Archive 2 | khuck | 103766
Hello Steve, That would fall into line with my response had I answered this question. It is just that sometimes I find myself praying to seek the Lord's guidance, and other times I jump in head first. I have no idea what is right or wrong, I think sometimes my human nature will cause me to act, and others I feel the greatest need to pray out a matter. Sometimes I feel guilty when I see an answer that I gave that was so far off the mark, and I will kick myself and think, I should have taken it to the Father or I should not have touched that one (grin) But enough of me... I am so glad that you answered this question with such sincerity. I just really wanted to know how others approach answering these post. Thank you so much Steve, Kathy |
