101 | Searching for the truth | Matthew | khuck | 103186
Dear Hi FytRobert, Before I get my head chewed off let me add that in Ephesians 6:5-9; Paul is speaking here and NOT JESUS. -Kathy |

102 | Searching for the truth | Matthew | khuck | 103189
Again Jesus is not speaking here once again I give you Paul (grin) Titus 2:9-10 Teach slaves to be subject to their masters in everything, to try to please them, not to talk back to them, and not to steal from them, but to show that they can be fully trusted, so that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive. -khuck |

103 | Seeking the truth | Matthew | khuck | 103274
Dear Robert Sometimes I feel like I am in the middle of it all too. Without any provocation, some of my responses get attacked right out of left field. (LOL) But you know what, keep right on loving and living for Jesus anyway. Just take heart and know that you did not cause any riff or ugliness on this forum, by asking a question. (that is how I always look at it) It is on the responder and what is in his/her heart as to how he/she will respond to you. I was once told, that is you are a Christian and everything is hunky-dory all of the time; then it is time to re-access. If the enemy is not attacking you, it re-evaluation time LOL. Besides we have no qualms with the people on this forum, because our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. God bless you and keep you always, -Kathy |

104 | Love God or Fear God? | Matt 1:21 | khuck | 104667
I really believe that it is not FEAR that the Bible is referring to but REVERENCE or RESPECT. I never feared my parents, but you better believe I had a healthy respect for their rules and I was aware of the retribution that would come when I disobeyed them. But if I truly feared my parents... I would not have gotten into so much trouble, I would have been too afraid of them to do anything wrong. (smile) -Kathy |

105 | Matt 7:1-2 ESV | Matt 7:4 | khuck | 103000
If in my past before receiving Christ, I was in a drug addict, I feel it would be my duty to speak with my brother and encourage him by sharing my testimony of how I was delivered from the addiction. I believe there is strength that can be gained for others who seek it, when we share our testimonies. To abandon my brother in a time when encouragement and love is truly needed is so not cool from where I sit. And if I chose to speak with him in love and sound encouragement about a problem that I had, is that not sound judgement? (If I am missing your point... charge it to my head and not my heart) I Love Him Today! -khuck |

Greetings Jlpangilnan, I wrote some brief comments from this article in another thread. But there is a certain order that should be followed before we castigate, rebuff or expel a fellow Church member. And though I do not disagree with any verse or scripture that you have posted here to substantiate your beliefs, I would say that there are many others on how we are to judge, when we judge, and the actions that the Church should take when these judgements are made. Therefore I will not crowd the message board with this entire article, but if you sincerely seek this information, I would earnestly suggest that you read: Church Discipline http://www.bible.org/docs/theology/eccles/churdisc.htm All things done in the Body should be done decently and in order. The Word does entreat us to follow a certain order in these matters. Your fellow Truth seeker, -khuck |

107 | forgive me ... please | Matt 18:35 | khuck | 105267
Dearest Joel We all have up and down days, but isn't great they we get to live them all in Christ! You are forgiven and loved over here. It takes a big person to say I am sorry for behaving badly. A coward continues in his ways pointing the finger and never accepts accountabilty for his mistakes. You put yourself in the place of the former! I pray that God conitnually bless and keep you ALWAYS and IN ALL WAYS! And may His Peace be ever upon you! Yet, it would be remiss as your friend and sister in the Lord if I do not speak my heart... Your most personal insults were directed toward Searcher and you are not covered by offering a corporate apology, for personally offending a brother. (and he may not have been offended at all I don't know) We are called to say truth and in that I hope you are not offended by this admonishment. I do not add it in to be insulting, but to be in accordance with Truth. I do it not to defend Searcher (he obviously has his own voice) The Truth that I am trying to express is that repentance (apologies) should not have "if's and but's"... given in Love, they must be unconditional. Hopefully you will read this in the Spirit in which I offer it... and that is in Love and truth. I never consign the errors of the brothers/sisters who I love in Christ. Yours In Christ, -Kathy |

108 | What think ye of Christ? | Matt 22:42 | khuck | 104967
Hi Noble :) I hope your Thanksgiving Day was indicative of who I have learned you to be (smile). Let me tell you what I think of The Christ, Jesus. He is the most valuable and cherished of my friends. It is hard to conceive in my mind how he could look beyond my wretched state of sin and Love me none the less, and choose to die in my place. (I am the one who deserves the humiliation and suffering that He endured) I think that Christ is the epitomy of all I desire to be. He is Love and He is humility, He is graceful and forgiving. He has healed my body and mind. He is my All in All, His very name has the power to calm my fears. He has shown me what I could not see. He has given me more than I could ever imagine. He has truly opened doors of opportunity in my life that NO one has had the power to close, and He and closed doors of my life that will never be opened again. He has offered me the right to eat from the Tree of Life. He has made me His and I know that He is mine. He has given me victory, over the enemy and He has given me joy in the midst of sorrowful days. I think He is radically AWESOME and there is not enough megabyte or pixel space on the world wide web, that could contain all the Good He is to me. What do I think about the One who is called Christ? I think He truly saves indeed, in every aspect He saves. He is worthy to merit my praise. And I believe that everyone who has Him (not knows about Him... But who has Him) they should share Him, with a lost and dying world! Noble....??? Don't you just Love Him??? :)Kathy |

110 | What think ye of Christ? | Matt 22:42 | khuck | 105033
Dearest Noble, I promise you the answer that I rendered to your query was from my heart, and experiences. It was not from any resource or scripture, but it composed of thoughts from my personal walk with Jesus. I know that my responses are often misunderstood on the forum, or sometimes considered words from experts, expounders, and commentators. Yet I am at a loss, I can think of no clearer way to express from "my heart" what I think of The Christ. I can only say that the words that I posted were from NO SONG, SCRIPTURE, OR RESOURCE MATERIAL. They were earnestly from my heart. In which case it leaves me to wonder if maybe it is not possible to answer this question satisfactorily. So I therefore turn the tables on you (in Love) and ask you, "What do you think about the One who is called Christ?" Always your servant in Christ, -Kathy |

111 | What think ye of Christ? | Matt 22:42 | khuck | 105043
Noble: "OOOPSY?" (smile) I understand and apologize for misunderstanding post. But, in view of all I have forwarded this thread ID and the initial request to The Lockman Foundation. I am just curious enough to want to give those accountable for such decisions if one should be given a chance to respond. Hope you don't mind. -Kathy |

112 | What think ye of Christ? | Matt 22:42 | khuck | 105049
Addition: Noble... I did not use email at the bottom of the page, but I did foward it to: nasb@lockman.org which was the email given under the option "Contact us at" on the page at URL: http://www.studybibleforum.com/about.php Not to discount EdB's suggestion, if you should choose to directly contact, the owners of this site, you may want to use both options. Nothing beats a failure, like a try:) God bless your Noble endeavor! -Kathy |

113 | Who do you believe about Jesus? | Matt 22:42 | khuck | 105062
Hi Kalos :) I Believe God! Matthew 3:16-17 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased." I Believe Jesus! Rev 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." Of course I believe the prophets and the apostles and those called by God, today as well as yesterday, they fill in the story line and the Spirit working within them that caused them to share the word, only confirms within Me that God is the Truth in Christ. And the Word given by the Spirit of God, whether given today or 3000 yrs from this day, will never change. IMHO... just my thoughts -Kathy |

114 | What think ye of Christ? | Matt 22:42 | khuck | 105070
Hi EdB :) I do not understand what you are asking me? I felt that your suggestion should not be discounted and I added to that another (similar to yours) which the poster may find helpful. Not having meant to come off as contrary. Let me once again apologize to you if it came across that way. Sincerely I found no problem at all in your response. Yours in Christ, -Kathy |

115 | What think ye of Christ? | Matt 22:42 | khuck | 105091
Hi EdB :) I have no need to contact anyone, about anything. But as you obviously agree, the post would not serve any particular purpose on the the thread if Lockman never sees it... and therefore like you I felt the post should be sent directly to lockman, therefore I not only gave Noble an email address to do so, as did you... but I also forwarded the post. Believing that in all fairness (as I told Noble) if Lockman representatives are being posed a question in which a response may be given they should have at least an opportunity to see the question. I have not promoted going to Lockman anymore than you yourself. So I really don't get it? As far as me having a problem with anything as in the past you are mistaken... there is nothing posted to this thread where I have indicated that I have a problem with you... Lockman Foundation, Noble, or anyone.... where do you get these ideas about me. Well in the interest of peace let me once again reiterate from the Heart... I have no intention of insulting or offending you in any capacity and if I have done so please charge it to my head and not to my heart. I apologize. Sincerely yours in Christ, -Kathy |

116 | What think ye of Christ? | Matt 22:42 | khuck | 105126
Hi EdB:) (note smile as in previous post... to show no hostile intent and the spirit in which both post were sent to you.) I don't know what I posted to cause you to feel that I was offended, that was never inferred in my response as a matter of fact in all 3 of the post I stated clearly that I was in agreement with you or that your suggestion should not be discounted. I do not understand why you find it hard to communicate with me, there was nothing mean spirited or negative in any of the responses. In the last I answered the questions you asked and responded to you regarding those things you assumed that I might know regarding Noble's intentions. I am sorry that you choose not to communicate with me any further, I do consider you to be my precious brother in Christ, and that saddens me. I am always open to you should you want to reconsider. Sincerely your sister in Him, -Kathy :) |

117 | What think ye of Christ? | Matt 22:42 | khuck | 105215
This is just another one of those days EdB and I promise you that this too shall pass:) I trust that you know I am neither on the defensive or offensive (really I hope you know this) The response "I have not promoted going to Lockman anymore than you," basically states; That I agree "with you" that if Noble wants Lockman to read his post it would serve him better to send it directly to the foundation. So he should use either the email I sent or you pointed out. I have no problem with the forum... I like you was trying to give Noble a better vehicle by which to send his idea. No more or less. I do not think you to be an ogre, nor do I endeavor to paint you in such a light. Actually I have on more than several occasions expressed my positive feelings and views regarding you. I respect your Love of the Word and enjoy many of you post... some are like Fire. I know that you stand passionately by your beliefs which I find commendable and no threat. I do not find you to be a intimidating ot threatening at all, and therefore to the contrary am not on the defensive concerning you. As I have said to another poster, I can not articulate or express myself in anyway that comes across non confrontational, and I can only apologize for that, and as I said before you in no way offended me... If you had, I would have told you as much. And right now my Brother, I can attest to you, I feel less than sweet, I am feeling more beat. (I am tired been up since Saturday at 6:00 am mostly working, I own a braid salon. Some of the styles take hours, but I am done for the day... finally) So if this post comes off less than earnest it is not you, but me... ok? As with anyone in Love with Christ and the Word, I will never give up the opportunity to try be your friend. But I will respect your request and leave you be, but I know we will be alright and our relationship will grow, and I know that you believe this, because the one thing that you do know of me, as I do you, is that I truly Love the Lord with everything that is in me Let His love be the measure of love we share between us and we can be assured that we will remain friends always. I assure you that your view of me is not indicative of who I am. Yours in Christ, -Kathy |

Good Mornin' EdB, I bet you did not get any sleep last night, you could not possibly have, cause I hogged up ALL OF IT! I slept like a bear in hibernation LOL. I will tell you this though, it was better than a hot buttered blueberry muffin to wake up to your note to me! Thank you:) Yours in Christ, Kathy |
