21 | Are gays/lesbians bound for hell? | Rom 5:8 | Risen | 41239
Greetings Marquita, I do not post these words from a spirit of judgement, but from a spirit of restoration in peace and love, from the heart. It is good that you are studying the Word of God. I pray that the Spirit of Truth, opens your eyes to the understanding of these words. 1 Thess 4:1 Finally then, brethren, we request and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us instruction as to how you ought to walk and please God (just as you actually do walk), that you excel still more. 2 For you know what commandments we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus. 3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, 5 not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God; 6 and that no man transgress and defraud his brother in the matter because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also told you before and solemnly warned you. 7 For God has not called us for the purpose of impurity, but in sanctification. 8 So, he who rejects this is not rejecting man but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you. If you truly have been born again, born of the Spirit, born from above, if the Spirit of Christ truly lives in you, He will not continue to allow you to live in this ungodly lifestyle. By whatever means, He chooses. If you are a part of His body, He will not allow you to continually dishonor Him with sexual immorality. I pray that God opens your heart of understanding and gives you His grace and strength to stop practicing sexual immorality. Joe |

22 | What is "the Law" and grace about? | Rom 7:12 | Risen | 13368
Greetings, What is Law and Grace? Part 1 John 1 17. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. Hebrews 7 18. The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless 19. (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God. Hebrews 8 13. By calling this covenant "new," he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear. Hebrews 7 20. And it was not without an oath! Others became priests without any oath, 21. but he became a priest with an oath when God said to him: "The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind: You are a priest forever. 22 Because of this oath, Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant. Hebrews 10 1. The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming--not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. 2. If it could, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins. 3. But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins, 4. because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. Romans 3 19. Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. 20. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin. The purpose of the law is to make us conscious of sin 1 Timothy 1 8. We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. 9. We also know that law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious; for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, 10. for adulterers and perverts, for slave traders and liars and perjurers--and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine The purpose of the law is to show our need for salvation Galatians 3 19. What, then, was the purpose of the law? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was put into effect through angels by a mediator. 20. A mediator, however, does not represent just one party; but God is one. 21. Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law. 22. But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe. 23. Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. 24. So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. The law cannot make you righteous, justify you, or give you life Galatians 2 16. know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified. 21. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!" Galatians 3 11. Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith." Romans 6 23. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. The law can only bring death Romans 7 10. I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life actually brought death. Galatians 3 21. Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law. James 2 10. For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. Matthew 5 48. Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Hebrews 10 14. because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. |

23 | What is "the Law" and grace about? | Rom 7:12 | Risen | 13370
What is Law and Grace? Part 2 Christ fulfilled the law Matthew 5 27. You have heard that it was said, Do not commit adultery. 28. But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29. If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. Matthew 5 21. "You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment. 22. But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, Raca, is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, You fool! will be in danger of the fire of hell. James 2 10. For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it The purpose of the law is to stir up sin 1 Corinthians 15 56. The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. Romans 7 5. For when we were controlled by the flesh, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in our bodies, so that we bore fruit for death. 7. What shall we say, then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! Indeed I would not have known what sin was except through the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, "Do not covet." 8. But sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, produced in me every kind of covetous desire. For apart from law, sin is dead. Colossians 2 20. Since you died with Christ to the basic principles of this world, why, as though you still belonged to it, do you submit to its rules: 21. "Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!"? 22. These are all destined to perish with use, because they are based on human commands and teachings. 23. Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence. Romans 9 30. What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; 31. but Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it. 32. Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the "stumbling stone." Galatians 3 10. All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." |

24 | What is "the Law" and grace about? | Rom 7:12 | Risen | 13371
What is Law and Grace Part 3 The law includes the ten commandments 2 Corinthians 3 7. Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, fading though it was, 8. will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? 9. If the ministry that condemns men is glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! Hebrews 10 1. The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming--not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. John 1 17. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. Matthew 5 17. Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. John 19 30. When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. Hebrews 10 12. But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God. 13. Since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool, Romans 10 4.Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes. Galatians 3 13. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." 14. He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. Galatians 4 4. But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, 5. to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. Hebrews 9 15. For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance--now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant. Romans 8 3. For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, 4. in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. |

25 | What is "the Law" and grace about? | Rom 7:12 | Risen | 13372
What is Law and Grace Part 4 Hope all 4 parts help you to grow in His grace and knowledge. The purpose of the law is to lead us to Christ Galatians 3 24. So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. 25. Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law Romans 6 14. For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace. 1 Corinthians 15 56. The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. Hebrews 11 6. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him Romans 7 1. Do you not know, brothers--for I am speaking to men who know the law--that the law has authority over a man only as long as he lives? 2. For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law of marriage. 3. So then, if she marries another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress, even though she marries another man. 4. So, my brothers, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God. 5. For when we were controlled by the sinful nature, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in our bodies, so that we bore fruit for death. 6. But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code. Romans 8 14. because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. Romans 11 6. And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace. Galatians 3 1. You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. 2. I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by observing the law, or by believing what you heard? 3. Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort? Galatians 1 6. I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel-- 7. which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! Titus 2 11. For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. 12. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, 13. while we wait for the blessed hope--the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14. who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. 2 Corinthians 12 9. But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me Romans 5 1. Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2. through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Romans 8 14. because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. Galatians 5 18. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law. Galatians 2 19. For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. Galatians 5 1. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Ephesians 2 8. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- 9. not by works, so that no one can boast. Galatians 3 11. Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith." |

26 | Let us Love One Another | 1 Cor 3:3 | Risen | 12652
Grace and Peace to All, I thank God our Father for the opportunity to be able to post my comments on this forum, and I pray that those who read this may be encouraged, strengthened, and/or have their eyes of understanding enlightened. I write these words with a spirit of love and meekness. I have followed the comments of many threads in this forum and other sites. I see many are knowledgeable about the scriptures, I see plenty of arguing, and contentions over different doctrines. I see where new babes in Christ can be overwhelmed, frustrated, confused, or put in doubt of their faith. I am reminded of the above scripture. Beloved, this should not be. Those of us who have been born again, born of the Spirit, and have grown in His grace and knowledge, who walk in the Spirit, in faith, in our great God and Savior, know the importance of loving one another. Being patient with one another, being kind and compassionate, forgiving one another, just as Christ has forgiven us of all our sins, once and for all. As fellow laborers with God, we who have grown in Him, who are rooted and grounded in Christ's love, let us not be high minded, proud, worldly, wise in our own eyes, for we see in part. As it is written: neither he who plants the seed, nor he who waters is anything, but it is God who makes it grow! If Christ lives in us, we have His Spirit that will guide us and teach us all truth, in His perfect timing, according to His will, not ours. We know Christ Jesus is the Truth, the way and the life. We are to keep our mind and heart focused on Him, and not on how much we know or don't know. Remember, God is doing His good work through us. God is building His Church, through us who have His Spirit. That is His power, the preaching of the cross, the fullness of His gospel. Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. Who here has been drawn to Christ by his own knowledge and understanding? Who here has been drawn to Christ, by the Father's rod or whip or with rude and harsh words? Was it not by His love and gentle Spirit? Did we receive Christ's Spirit by works of righteousness, keeping the whole law or parts of it? Or, did we receive His righteousness by faith? Beloved, we have the mind of Christ, we have all spiritual blessings in Christ, and we are seated with Him. We have been made holy, righteous, blameless, and perfect in Christ. We are complete in Him! How can we add to or take away from that which He has already made perfect? Each new creation in Christ Jesus, each member, each precious stone tried by fire, is built upon the solid Rock, the perfect foundation, Jesus Christ. Many newborns in Christ and unbelievers enter Christian web sites, and what do they see? Quarrelings, divisions, strife and confusion. The same that is in the world. Yes, even deception. Is Christ divided? No, we are all members one of another, if Christ lives in you. When questions are asked, we need to answer in love and gentleness, to be patient towards all people, and to remember, it is God who will open their eyes and ears and give understanding. Let us lift Christ up, and He will draw all men unto Himself. Let us remember that God has made peace with us, therefore let us be at peace with Him and others. Love cannot be perfected in fear, but perfect love casts out fear. We did not receive a spirit of fear, but of love, in Him. He loves us perfectly. God is always patient with you. God is always kind to you. God does not envy, He does not boast, He is not proud. God is not rude to you, He is not self seeking, He is never easily angered with you. God keeps no record of your wrongs. God does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. He always protects you, always trusts you, always hopes the best for you, always perseveres with you. God's love never fails. All men will know we are His disciples, if we love one another. John 13:34...A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. Romans 15:7...Accept one another then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. Ephesians 4:32...Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you. How are we in the body of Christ to love, accept, and forgive one another? Just as God in Christ has loved, accepted, and forgiven us. Whether we realize it or not, we will treat other people with the same measure of love, acceptance, and forgiveness that we, rightly or wrongly, think we are receiving from God. We will never love one another with a greater love, than what we think we are receiving from God. May you be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God, and to know this love and grace that is in Christ Jesus that surpasses all knowledge. May He fill you with His peace and joy and love! Your Brother in Christ |

27 | God forgive no matter what | 2 Cor 5:8 | Risen | 44511
Excellent Posts ChristLifer2001!!! Welcome to the Forum! I see by your posts that you believe in the finality of the cross and the reality of His resurrection. The fullness of God's grace! It's all Him and His work. When I read Colossians 2:13 "When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us All our sins." the Spirit of Christ who dwells in me, speaks to my heart and shows me that He has paid for all of my sins. Past, present and future! Like you said, "All means All in the greek :)" When I read Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." and 2 Corinthians 5:21 "God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that IN Him we might become the righteousness of God." the Spirit of Christ who dwells in me, speaks to my heart and shows me, that He who had no sin became sin for us. Jesus Christ died for me, and all those who believe. His blood paid the perfect price for the sins of all. Why? So that I and all who believe could become the righteousness of God. He also shows me that this eternal life, that is only in Christ, is His free gift to me, and All who believe. His gift of life, which is eternal, is not temporary. When we sin, does He take away the gift, that is eternal? No, for the debt, the wages of sin, death, has been paid for by His blood and He is not going to shed His blood again! We read in John 5:24 "I tell you the truth, whoever hears My Word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life." That verse ties in beautifully with Romans 8:1 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. And 1 John 5:9-13 "We accept man's testimony, but God's testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which He has given about His Son. Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about His Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life." Christ's blood has cleansed us from all unrighteousness, He took away our sins once and for all. He gave His life for us, in order that He could give His life to us, so that He could live His life through us! I like you brother, rest in His completed work on the cross, and know that He is alive in me and all those who believe! We also know as it is written in Hebrews 13:5 "God has said, Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." When we sin, will He leave? No, if He did, He would have to shed His blood again in order for us to receive forgiveness. Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." We are alive because Christ dwells in us just as it is written in Romans 5:10 "For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!" and Ephesians 2:1 "As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins." which ties in with Colossians 2:13 "When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us All our sins." So all of our sins had to be dealt with once and for all, or we will die as soon as we sin again. For only by the shedding of blood is there forgiveness. YBIC Joe |

28 | What's the importance of Old Testament? | Gal 3:24 | Risen | 40864
Greetings JCLT2, I believe srbaegon, and New Creature gave excellent answers to the importance of the Old Testament. Well done you two. I hope these words will help to show not only the importance, but also the authority of the Old Testament for believers today. The supreme reason for accepting the inspiration of the Bible and its authority over our lives is because of our faith in Jesus Christ and "His" testimony concerning the Word of God. Christ’s Claims About the Old Testament. We read in John 5:39,40...You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about Me, yet you refuse to come to Me to have life. Why did Christ say that the Jews diligently studied the Scriptures? Because they thought, that by them, they would possess, eternal life. Who did Jesus say these Scriptures testified about? These are the Scriptures that testify about Me. What Scriptures is He talking about? The Old Testament. Does Jesus indicate in this passage that He believes the Old Testament is true? Definitely. We read in John 5:46,47...If you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me. But since you do not believe what he wrote, how are you going to believe what I say? Who did Jesus say that Moses wrote about? Moses wrote about Christ! We read in Matthew 24:37-39...As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark: and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Did Jesus state this as an actual account or as a mythical or allegorical story? An actual account. If the account in the Old Testament had been wrong, do you think Jesus (who is God) would have corrected it? Most likely. Would it make sense to compare such an important event as the second coming of Christ, to a mythical story? Absolutely not. We read in Matthew 12:38-41...Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to Him, "Teacher, we want to see a miraculous sign from You." He answered, "A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now One greater than Jonah is here. Who did Jesus claim to be greater than? Jonah Would it have any meaning to claim to be greater than someone who didn’t exist? Absolutely not. Does Jesus indicate by His statement that He believed the account of Jonah in the Old Testament is true? Definitely. Since Jesus Christ is God and He said there was a flood, then there was a flood! If He said, Jonah was swallowed by a huge fish, then Jonah was swallowed by a huge fish! If Jesus is not God, then we are still lost in our sins, and whether or not there was a flood or a huge fish is completely irrevelant to our lives. There are at least 66 references to the Old Testament in Christ’s dialogues with His disciples and more than 90 references to the Old Testament in His speaking with other people. There was never any question in the mind of Christ or the writers of the New Testament about the veracity of the Scriptures. The validity and significance of these Old Testament events, rests squarely upon the validity of the testimony of Jesus Christ (God in the flesh) and the apostles. Christ is the Word of God who became flesh and dwelt among us, He knows what He is talking about, for He is the Truth and His Words are Truth. YBIC...Joe |

Grace and Peace to All In my understanding, Christ is the Good Shepherd we are the sheep. My sheep hear My voice. If indeed one is indwelt by Christ (born again) that person is sealed by the Holy Spirit. It is the Spirit that will guide us into all truth (Christ is the Truth) and teaches us the meaning of His words for they are spirit, and without His Spirit we couldn't understand, see or hear . 31 | Moral, Ceremonial, and Civil law | James 2:10 | Risen | 19277
Amen Bill From reading your posts I believe that you know, that you have died to the law, that you are no longer under the law (the old covenant) and that you are now under grace (the new covenant). I see that you understand Galatians 3:24,25...So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law. It is wonderful to find a like minded brother in Christ! Romans 7:4-6...So, my brothers, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God. For when we were controlled by the sinful nature, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in our bodies, so that we bore fruit to death. But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old ways of the written code. I, like you brother, have learned that the purpose of the law is to show us our need for salvation and to point us to Jesus Christ. The law cannot save us, it cannot give us life, it cannot forgive our sins, and the law cannot make us righteous. Only Jesus Christ can! That is why, as believers, we are no longer under the law, we are under the grace of God. In Acts 15 we read about a discussion of whether the Gentiles should be circumcised and to keep the law of Moses, or not. Hope this may help those who haven't died to the law, and to come alive, by faith in Christ,...yet. Verse 7 After much discussion, Peter got up and addressed them: "Brothers, you know that some time ago God made a choice among you that the Gentiles might hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe. 8. God, who knows the heart, showed that He accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as He did us. 9. He made no distinction between us and them, for He purified their hearts by faith. 10. Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of the disciples a yoke (the law) that neither we nor our fathers have been able to bear? 11. No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are." Continue to live by faith brother, in the completed work of Jesus Christ, and the reality of His resurrection, for He is alive, He is risen, and He has...(2 Corinthians 3:6)...made us competent as ministers of a new covenant-not of the letter (the law) but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
