Michelle, Numbers 33:55,56 This passage of scripture will should shed some light on your question. I dont know that God created anyone for the purpose of being destroyed. 2 Peter 3:9, John 3:16, 1:12. It has always been the desire of God's heart to have a relationship with us,This has always been His heart. My question to you here for purposes of clarification is how does your question relate to Isaiah 55:8? In Christ, lionheart |

22 | People of God or angels | Gen 1:1 | lionheart | 172130
jamie_rivard, Greetings and welcome to the forum. Your scriptural support here is solid.Satan and his minions were absolutely cast out of heaven. He is refered to as the ruler of the world by Jesus in John 14:30 and God of This world by Paul in 2 Corinthians 4:4. An interesting question arises here, Job 1:6,2:1 Do these passeges refer to the people of God or angels? We do know the time of Job was before the time of Isreal as a nation so this does add a little significence to this question. I dont believe we have any contradiction here but I think in answering this question it will shed some light on and clarify what you have already stated. What do you think? Any and all thoughts and scripture will be much appreciated and accepted. God's Best to all, lionheart |

If this doesnt keep us grateful, boy oh boy. What are your thoughts? In Christ, lionheart |

30 | 2 Timothy 2:15 | Bible general Archive 3 | lionheart | 169609
calmrage, Is it not possible to be hardline where God and His Word are concerned and exercise some sensitivity? Jesus did. Your right I probably did misunderstand. That's why I harp on 2 Timothy 2:15 so much. This one guiding principle that if we are not committed to we wont know the difference, not even a little bit. When we are committed to being workmen of Gods Word then we can come with a godly response and wise council when we do encounter things.I didnt say you were pointing fingers, many do though,if I was doing that with you please forgive me. In Christ, lionheart |

33 | What say you? | Titus 3:5 | lionheart | 168863
Edd, After reading through this thread I Fail to see the intent of your original question. What was it? With that question in mind I will say this, It's not a matter of who's right but whats right. The bible has the right answer no matter who may be the one to convey those answers. 2 Timothy 2:15 and 2 Peter 1:20,21 are bedrock scriptures when it comes to our faith. One does not fit the Word around thier theology, but we conform our believing around Gods Word. Thats the only way it woks for anyone. What say you? In Christ, lioneart |

JRM, Greetings. Just an observation and some retrospective. 2 Peter 1:20,21, 2 Timothy 2:15,3:16,17, 2 Peter 1:3. Is not Gods Word timeless? Does 2 Peter 1:20,21 still mean anything to people today, cause if it does then we we have to,we must set aside oppinion and sentimentality for if we really take this passage of scripture for what it says then we will understand that there is only one interpretation, now I know there are some who will say look at the differences from writter to writter, book to book, most definitly. These individuals were different in many ways, thier characters, the times they lived, and the culture they grew up in.But the one common thread they all shared and had in common was they were men of God led by his spirit and what they put to pen and ink was as God intended. It was without opinion or sentimentality. Gramatically we may not have it jot and tittle, but we do have His Word as he revealed it to His holy prophets and apostles. 2 Timothy 3:16.More to come? You betcha! But it will all fall within the confines of what God has told us in His Word. What say you everyone? In Christ, lionheart PS- More on this subject later. |

38 | Biblical Interpretation? | John 7:17 | lionheart | 167303
When it comes to biblical interpretation I think the bible is pretty specific regarding ones right or ability to interpret.2 Peter 1:20,21. Maybe we get application and interpretation mixed up? Maybe? Interpretation remains constant where as applicatin can and does change. No two lives are what we would call identical. We all lead lives that are somewhat different aned at times very different when it comes to the challenges that we each may encounter. What say you? drtbloor, How is it that as you say even though we still sin that we live in a state of sinlessnes? This seems to be somewhat of a misnomer. I know and understand that the Christ in us ( Col 1:27) does not sin,we do. How can we say we live in a state of sinlessness when we blow it on a daily basis. 1 John 1:5-10 We dont choose to stay in our sin we can must repent. What say you? |
