206 | Know the Message of the Hour | Rom 3:4 | jbw | 82242
Deut 29 verse 29 reads as follows: The secret things belong to the Lord our God. But the things revealed belong to us and to our sons forever, that we may obeserve all the words of this law (NASB). God can and has revealed many of things through many of people. He doesn't have respect of persons who he reveal things through. It's whomever will yield their minds and spirits to study out the MATTER/answer. I mean salvation was hidden from the Gentiles for years and God revealed that to peter and Paul that it's not only the Jews but the Gentiles also should have fellowship with Him (God). If there is a secret thing in this world trust me God spoke to a heart and mind and revealed that thing to him/her so we all could know it...There is no respect of person's with God.. |

207 | Must we be baptized to be saved? | John 3:22 | jbw | 82239
I not here to convince or persuade but only to share my view only. So tell me what about the thief on the cross? He didn't come down off the cross to be baptised...the Lord Jesus told him you shall be with me in paradise and so he is today...I'm not trying to take an holy ritual and make it senseless I love the lord Jesus...I just was not taught that baptism was needed to be saved. Because the Lord saved me in 1983 and I didn't get baptised until 1994...And I know I've been redeemed.

210 | Must we be baptized to be saved? | John 3:22 | jbw | 82217
Salvation is a gift from God, you didn't have to work for it. It was and still is a gift. Unless I'm not understanding your question. Baptism is not a prerequisite for salvation.
211 | where did cain's wife come from? | Bible general Archive 1 | jbw | 82211
In the old testament they hardly ever mentioned women. Unless they were really doing some mighty act or deed. But women were around and being born just like men. The command to Adam and Eve was to multiply and replenished the earth. Cain could have copulated with his mom or with a sister that was around but never was spoken of.
212 | Did Jesus know he was God? | Bible general Archive 1 | jbw | 82207
2 Corinthians 5 verse 19 reads as follows: That God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself. Yes the Lord Jesus knew that he was fully God and Fully man. The Lord Jesus never found it difficult to sacrifice himself. After everyman that God had raised up to deliver his people and after every try of man failing to walk upright or try to be as perfect as possible but failed. The Lord Jesus told God to prepare Him a body and so it was. Mary was then visted by the angel that she would concieve of the Holy Ghost.
213 | Must we be baptized to be saved? | John 3:22 | jbw | 82200
Baptism is symbolic only to the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It's a outward showing of an inward going. Baptism only says that you have put away the old man (old ways, old habits) and have come up a new creature in Christ. (outwardly that's what baptism represent). The thief on the Cross was never baptized and the Lord Jesus said this day you will be with me in paradise and I'm sure that is where he is to this day. So not being baptized will not keep you out of heaven. But if you are a follower of Christ wouln't want to do what He did?
214 | Can you loose your salvation? | OT general | jbw | 82171
Ephesians 2 verse 8 reads as follows: For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God. I think this is one of the most controversial questions of all times. The Lord gives gifts without repentance. Salvation is a gift from God. While a person is in the womb they are given innate abilites from God. It is there's whether they choose to use them or not. I believe that the Gift of God which is salvation is the same. I am a singer that is my innately gift from birth. I don't sing in a choir and I don't much of anything with my gift these days. But when I hear my favorite song come on. Trust me I can pull notes from heaven and I actually bellow the song out. The word even states that we are ingrafted into the Lord hands and that no man can pluck us out. The Lord Jesus said that He and His father would come in and make there abode in us. Lastly the word often reminds us of that we are the temple of the Holy Ghost. I believe that a saved person can fall into sin and yes wallow in it and still be saved. I BELEIVE THAT. I also believe that in your sin if you constantly ask the Lord to forgive you of that sin. He will cleanse you from all unrighteousness in the way that would bring him all the glory. The bible talks of a man having a 100 sheep and loosing one with the man going back for that one. Now in my mind I would leave the one because I have 99 and I know that they would eventually reproduce and bring me maybe even a trillion more. But thank the Lord for Jesus and His thoughts not being like ours. He goes after that one as if he were the only one on the earth. Isn't that wonderful!!!!! I believe that the enemy tricks people into thinking that they have committed a sin that the Lord cannot forgive. And God forbid if you find yourself in a sin that's hard to shake (like sex or whatever your weakness is because everybody has one)and you find yourself wallowing in it. You oftentimes would say forget it the Lord will not hear or forgive this. But I'm here to tell you that if you continue to tell it to Jesus each time you are in whatever it might be. Continue to confess that sin/act to God and He will cleanse you from that sin and all unrighteousness. Just remember to keep telling it to the Lord because He is faithful and just to forgive and wash us thoroughly..remember to say at the cross with it..with your sin...So I believe that nothing shall separate me from the Love of God, not tribulation, persecution, distress, peril, famine....No you cannot loose your salvation....But you will be judge for what you have done in this body once excepting him....this is just my thoughts....
215 | How can God let us go through pain? | 1 Pet 2:24 | jbw | 82102
Philipians 3 verse 10 states: That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings being conformed to his death (NASB). I wished we lived in a world where there was no sickness, diseases or pain. But once Adam sin, then sin, suffering, pain happens to us all. tragedy doen't have a common place. It happens to everyone and any given time. As a matter of Fact. In John the 14th chapter (NASB) the Lord Jesus promised us tribulations. He said in me (Him) you shall have tribulation but be of good cheer He has overcome the world. Meaning every sickness is not unto death. In Matthew 17 verse 21 it says. But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting (NASB). Then Isaiah 53 states that by the Lord Jesus stripe (sufferings) we are healed. Tell him to consecrate himself, wash his face and go on a fast. Deny himself certain food, maybe even television programs. Put his parents name in certain certains prayer list where some Christians can prayr for them on a consistant basis. The word says that the Effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much James (NASB)...Take the matter into his hands..Tell his parents to start confessing the word that says that they shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord Psalm 118 (NASB. One man's sin cause sickness, diseases (Adam)..But Glory to God One man's death and resurrection can lead to good health (Jesus). Stop pouting and let's get busy.....First ask the Lord to heal his parents. Then start thanking the Lord for their healing..If you have faith as the size of a grain of mustard seed you can say unto this mountain be thou remove and be cast into the sea and it will obey you. Last but not least the word says that when you pray believe that you have whatever you ask for and you shall have it MARK 11 (NASB). I hoped I helped...Let's get busy.... |

216 | Healing by Strips physical or not | 1 Pet 2:24 | jbw | 82096
I am going to reference the entire chapter of Isaiah 53 along with my personal encounters with the scriptures. When the Lord Jesus was laid on Calvary's Cross every sickness and disease imaginable was laid on Him. Meaning at that point he had aids, sars, cancer, herpes etc.. He bore these diseases. So that when these disease try to attack our bodies we can fight it off with the word of God and if need be medication. CASE AND POINT...My sister was diagnois with lyumphoma in the last stages. Well they had sent her home to die. The Lord Jesus told me that she would not die but live and declare the works of the Lord Psalm 118. It sounded crazy seeing they had only had given her 4 months to live. But I believe what I heard and I began confessing her healing. Every time she called me crying about dying I would tell her what the scriptures said. and it was you will not die but live and declare the works of the Lord. I will make a long story short. My sister lives in Michigan and no one was equipped to help her, she found doctors at UIC in Chicago to take her case and experiment on her. The gave her extra large doses of chemo. Yes her hair fell out and she was very sick. One thing that the doctors found amazing is that she would not loose any weight. Instead her her appetite increase causing her to balloom to over 300lbs. Later we found that her weight aiding in her recovery. God took the foolish things of this world and condound the wise. Anyway my sister's cancer is in remission and has been for 3 years because of His stripes. She is loosing weight now. Her hair is more healthier and prettier than before. All because of Jesus bearing this sickness. So to answer your question a physical and mental healing is available to all christians and non-christians. The Lord doesn't have respect of persons.....But without faith it is impossible to please Him. Faith in His word will make Him move on one's behalf....I hope I helped!! Sin is removed only by asking for forgiveness of one's sin and accepting Chrtist as your personal Savior. Then He can forgive your sins and yes heal your land (mind and body). I hoped I helped |

217 | Unbaptized children | Bible general Archive 1 | jbw | 82090
Luke 23:43 states: And He said to him "truly I say to you today you shall be with me in Paradise. The thief on the cross never had a chance to be emerged in water or be sprinkled. And he is in Paradise to this day. The Lord Jesus said that that's where he would be and I believe that's where he is. God is not limited to what's written. Scpitures were inspired by God to men...So it's given for reproof and correction. But God wisdom and knowledge is so vast, infinite....If He could forgive a theif who did committ sin wouldn't He allow children in PARADISE WHO KNOWS NO SIN and are not baptized? Yes..... Children are exempt here... |

218 | Why do we pray if God already knows all | Bible general Archive 1 | jbw | 82085
1 Timothy 2 verse 1 reads as follows: First of all then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving be offered on behalf of all men. Prayer is your way of communicating with God. He is very concern with your thoughts, concerns and cares. Believe it or not you have a say so in your life and how it goes. And how can your request be heard if you don't share with the Lord how you feel. Communicating with God brings about a intimate relationship with him. Where He knows you personally and you Him. God saves a person because they ask Him into their lives. God just doesn't barge His way into your life. Can you imagine being saved and you really don't want to be. That's like being made to go somewhere you hate going. God is a gentleman. The same with prayer. If you don't want a particular thing happening in your life tell it to the Lord. Psalms 37 verse 4-5 says Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him and He will do it (NASB). In this walk with the Lord we are not robots...The benefits of communicating to the Lord daily is to get your prayers answered. God is not limited He can, will and have changed His mind about many a things..like getting after us after our sin...I'm sure most of us would be dead if there were no mercies. And mercies are new every morning. He (God) changes his mind about getting after us regarding sin daily because of the blood of JESUS. And sometimes the Lord has someone interceding on your behalf and you don't even know of it. In Exodus God was about to destroy the Israelites and Moses stood before the Lord and said "how are you going to destroy these people you made a covenant with"? Moses say take me instead...The Lord's anger subsided and He changed his mind regarding his people and their lives were spared. Now there are times when God wants a certain thing to be done and prayer and nothing else can move His hand...But I can attest and I've been in this walk 20 years.....Your prayer matters, and it can and will change the course of your life..Just because something is about to happen to you doen't mean it has to happen...Prayer can and has change the course of this world...I hoped I helped you!!!!!! |

219 | HUNGER OR THIRST MATTHEW 5:6 | Matt 5:6 | jbw | 82079
I will answered your question with another scripture. Psalm 42 verses 1-2 states this: As the deer pants for the water brook so my soul pants for you O, God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God (NASB). To hunger and thirst after righteousness is like jogging for 5 miles without a water bottle. Only to come to a fountain to find out that the water is not on. You would then jog, run or walk frantically to find another fountain knowing that without the needed water you would dehydrate, passout or even die. The desire at that point should be one of desperation, kool-aid or grapefruit juice will not suffice it has to be water. To not have the needed water would leave you destitute. To thirst for righteousness has to be a desire planted inside of you by God because no one could quench that thirst inside of you but Him. And He will quench the thirst if that's your desire.
