1641 | How we judge the Man? | John 7:51 | lionheart | 141859
Good day my brother, I'm gonna do my best to practice what I preach here. Let see what we will see. 1) Does living water flow from OUR innermost beings? If we go to verse 39 we get our answer. But this he spoke of the Spirit. You can read the rest of the verse. Jesus is refering to the spirit. 2) We gotta be a little more carefull with this one. A lot of questions will be answered by going back and reading the entire chapter. I believe Nicodemus was calling them to task regarding the Law dealing with the treatment of those they sought to bring charges against. Even today we have a right to face our accusers and present our case. The Law here would apply to anyone they would look to bring charges against. I hope I'm not eating to much shoe leather here. By going back and reading the whole chapter we will see they are looking for acassion to charge Jesus. The majority of the religious authorities of that day denied that Jesus was Messiah,he was even addressed by them as being a false prophet,or being an illegitimat child. They were looking for a way to take him out. We all know that when they finally arrested and tried him they had broken the law on more than one point. I pray I havent made to much a mess of this. 1642 | Can we take Scripture out of context? | Jer 29:11 | lionheart | 141853
Check this out, Romans 15:4 For what was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, that through perseverance and the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope. Can we take scripture out of context? Most assuredly so. But when we apply a few basic principles when we are in the bible the odds of taking something out of context go way down. Scripure is addressed to us or it's for our learning. Jerimiah 29:11-13 it's a jem. Check out Acts 17:26-28. Gods has a plan for every last one of us.It's mans choice to follow that plan or not. This passage makes reference to the wilderness of Beersheba. this is where they settled. You will find it in what later would be Southern Isreal halfway btween the mediterranean sea and the southern tip of the dead sea. Hope this helps. In Christ, lionheart |

1645 | GRAVE ESCATHOLOGICAL MORTIFICATION | 2 Tim 2:15 | lionheart | 141792
Good day my brothers and sisters. Here's a little something that may clear things up a little. 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God,and it has not appeared as yet what we shall be.We know that ,when He appears,we shall be like Him, we shall see him just as he is. Not much for the imagination to speculate here. When Jesus wentback to the Father he went in a physical body albeit a Glorfied body. So when it comes down to our final disposition ( this is a general statement mind you because there is so much more in store for us.) it says we will be like him and that we will see him just as he is. Pretty powerful wouldnt ya say. IN Christ, lionheart. |

1646 | Is Scripture Really Necessary? | John 20:31 | lionheart | 141777
Hank, I think I'll take quote 2. Works a whole lot better for me. Without Gods word how would we know. Ro 10:17 So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. Feelings are no gaurantee for truth. Thats why we gotta be doing 2 Timothy 2:15 everyday. Your brother in Christ lionheart |

Look I'm even starting to confuse myself here, of course the dates are not divinely inspired. But everything we have in the bible has it's place in history. The dates give us a general idea of when or where. I own a Thomson Chain Reference study bible At the beginning of each book in the left hand margin are references to authorship and dates where available. I hope I have not mucked this up to bad. Your brother in Christ, lionheart |

1650 | Oldest Book of the Bible Job? | Deuteronomy | lionheart | 141733
Look at the dates in which the books were written, it will make sence. The dates are self explanetory. ln Christ, lionheart PS I didnt say God placed things in or it wasnt my intention to say that God divinely determined the order of the books. The dates of the individual books can give us a good idea of what individuals may or may not have had available to them. Forgive me for not being more thorough. |

1652 | Oldest Book of the Bible Job? | Deuteronomy | lionheart | 141722
Thanku4mercy, Greetings. Job actually is considered by most scholars to be the oldest book in the bible. If you go back an look at the dates which the books in the OT were written you will see the diferent dates. After examining the dates you will then notice that the books of the Old Testament are not all necessarilly placed in chronilogical order. I do beleive the books of the bible were placed where God intended them to be. With this in mind it is very possible that the events in Job could have taken place before the time of Moses. I wont etch this in stone, but it does merit consideration. Look into it. Your brother in Christ, lionheart |
