Dear Obi1Kanobi, Matt 16:13-20 The question it asks is: Whom do YOU (obi1Kanobi)say that I am? It is always a personal question to each person who reads the question. Notice verse 16 Peter answered,"you are the Christ, the Son of the Living God." Christ means Messiah, the anointed One sent from God, God's Son. Notice he wasn't sent as the son of the dead god. Understanding that God is Eternal (which means he has always existed, is existing now, and will always exist)then we know that his Son, Jesus, is also Eternal. Does anyone fully understand from forever to forever, never ending, or eternal? No! And they won't until they stand before the judgement seat of Christ, then it will be very apparent. But that is not the question asked! Who do you, personally, say that Jesus is? Do you say he is the Son of God? Is he alive today? Can he forgive your sins? Will he save you? Will you do what he says? Will you believe what he says? Will you go where he says to go? Will you say what he tells you to say? Does he have a purpose for your life? Does he want to be a part of your life? Do you want to be a part of his life? Notice Verse 17..Jesus told Peter, "You are blessed, Simon Barjona (i.e. son of jona): (Why?) for flesh and blood has NOT revealed it unto you, but my Father (has revealed it unto you, is the implied meaning)which is in heaven. " So then, The REVELATION from God the Father, as to who Jesus is, is the Rock that Jesus will build HIS CHURCH and the gates of hell SHALL NOT prevail (win over) the church..... If you will receive it, the whole Bible is God's revelation knowledge on every subject pertaining to mankind, God, satan, the how to's of the Christian life, the discerner of the hearts and minds of all people.Heb 4:12 He knows you whether you know him or not, he reads you like a book! He doesn't want us to trust another person to teach us, he wants to teach us personally. You can have God as your teacher, if you ask him to teach you, show you, reveal Jesus to you, personally. James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let HIM (obi1Kanobi), ASK of God, that gives to all (mankind) liberally, and unbraids (scolds or scorns) NOT; and IT SHALL BE GIVEN HIM." What shall be given him? Wisdom from God to understand God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit. What was the process for you to get this information?Ask God for it, you Obi1Kanobi, personally need to ask God the questions you are asking other people! Other people are in the same boat you are in. They don't know all the answers. But guess what! God formed the questions, and he knows all the answers, and he is willing to share them with you, If You A.S.K. The ball is in your court, are you going to make a basket and ask God? Always In Christ, C.S.M. It is for you to find out the answer, based on what the word of God says about this man, called Jesus Christ! |

Dear Humbled by his Grace, Ask yourself: Who is the tempter? Matt 4:1 "Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil." Who can be tempted? The obvious: mankind, those who are in a flesh, bone and blood, body, including Jesus! But the difference in mankind in general, and Jesus specifically, is Phil 2:6-11 (see v. 8 the focus) "And being found in fashion as a man, he HUMBLED himself, and became OBEDIENT (to whom? God)unto death (how long on earth? up to and including)the death of the cross." Note in V. 7 that man is defined as a servant, and Jesus came in that form, so when he was completely obedient to God the Father, in that servant form, called mankind, God had the one obedient man he needed to defeat satan!!!!! Ro 5:19 "For as by one man's (the servant form, the first Adam)disobedience many were MADE sinners, so by the obedience of one (the servant MAN, the second, and last, Adam, Jesus)shall many be MADE righteous." What is good? Micah 6:8 God has showed you O Man what is good; and what does the Lord Require of you, but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. (margin says: to humble yourself to walk with God). What is evil? The opposite of Good: to do unjustly, to hate mercy, to be disobedient and refuse to walk with God. Micah 6:8 What does evil do? Evil tempts God by disobedience! Matt 4:7 Jesus said to satan, "It is written again, You shall not tempt the Lord your God." What does good do? Mal 3:6 "I am the Lord, I change not" Good doesn't have to change, only evil has to change. Who is the source of evil? John 10:10 The thief. Is God a thief? No! But satan is a thief! The thief comes not except to steal, to kill and to destroy. Who does the Bible say Jesus is the exact image of? Heb 1:3 "who (Jesus) being the brightness of his (God the Fathers) glory, and the express (exact) image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had BY HIMSELF purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty (God the Father) on high;" Who is the source of good? James 1:17 "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." I John 1:5 God is light John 1:4 In him was life, and the life was the light.... Is God evil? No, he is the source of all good, light, life and good gifts! Is satan good? No, he is the source of all evil, darkness, death, and killing, stealing and destroying. I Peter 5:8 "Be sober, be vigilant; because YOUR adversary the devil, AS a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he MAY devour." He knows he can't devour God. He is NOT a roaring lion, he is only acting like one. He is seeking people, who can be devoured by his lies, I just don't let him. How do you prevent him from devouring you? John 8:31-32 Jesus said, keep turning the page, and do what I say...i.e. "If you continue in my word... then ...you are my disciples; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall MAKE you free." When you rightly divide the word of God, and discern good and evil, you will have been exercised fully. Strong meat is: the word of God Heb 5:12-13 Exercise is: knowing good and evil, and choosing good and refusing evil. Heb 5:14,Isa 7:15 Always in Christ, C.S.M. |

Micah 6:8 defines good: He (God) has showed you, O man (both male and female) what is good; and what does the Lord REQUIRE of you, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God" (margin says: to humble yourself to walk with God.) This is a self humbling, God will not force you to walk with him. Evil then would be the opposite of good: To do unjustly, to hate mercy, and to refuse to humble yourself to walk WITH God. Consider James 1:17 "Every GOOD gift and every PERFECT gift is from above, and comes DOWN from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." Dear Luthren, In Gen 1:27, notice God named the species, "man" male and female. That is like God naming a lion, and that species named lion, is both male and female. This man (the species, both male and female) is blessed of God Gen 1:28, is told they have a purpose, be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it; have dominion over fish, fowl, every living that that moves on the earth...(note: he didn't say mankind was to rule over mankind, that's God's job, but he didn't say we were not suppose to dominate satan, in fact satan was a serpert that "moved on the earth" and God intended for man to cast him out of the Garden. Mark 16:15-20). Sometimes we can learn more about what God does NOT say as by what he does say... God created two trees in the middle of the Garden of Eden...Gen 2:9..The Tree of Life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God gave the man (Adam and Eve) permission to eat of every tree of the garden...if he had stopped there, Adam and Eve would not have had a problem. However God did not stop there, he gave another command. Gen 2:16 God commanded the man (adam and Eve, the species: man), saying, Of every tree of the the garden you may freely eat; (17) but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat: for in the day you eat of it, you shall surely die (the margin says: in dying you shall die). Here mankind had the permission to eat of the tree of Life freely. However God, in his mercy, warned them that if they ate of the tree of both good and evil, the process of death would begin in their bodies and they would die,(in dying you will die) over time. This is like a natural parent telling their children, "don't go play in the traffic, if you do a big Mack truck will come along and run over you, and you will die." That would be a good parent that warned their children of danger, wouldn't it. God is the best parent in the universe. He knew the devil was going to show up in the garden and tempt them to play in the traffic of disobedience to God, so they would be his servants and he could legally kill them for this disobedience. Ro 6:16, 23. After all, disobedience is what got satan kicked out of heaven, he rebelled against God and wanted to exercise his own self-will and take God's place. Isa 14:1-32 Disobedience to God, his stated word, is called sin, (of which, sin, satan was the encourager to disobey God's spoken word). Gen 3:1-7 Sin, then, is doing opposite of what God says to do in his written or (in Adam and Eves Case, since the word of God had not been written down yet, the) spoken word. For this action, God cursed satan Gen 3:14. Because of the action of satan, and the action of mankind (at that point, it was only Adam and Eve, plus all the children that WOULD BE born of them in the future which were still seed in the loins of Adam)then God was the first shedder of blood for the covering over of sin. Gen 3:21 "coats of skins" means the animal had to be slain so the coat for them could be made. Why is that important? It is written, "without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin." Heb 9:22, Matt 26:28 Jesus said, "This is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remmission of sins." We understand this plan of God from the fact that God never changes. Malachi 3:6 "For I am the Lord, I CHANGE NOT;". What does that tell us about God? He was the same before he created the earth and mankind, he is the same now, and he will be the same when we see him face to face in eternity, he doesn't change! Therefore, because he doesn't change it is my personal belief that the animal slain in the Garden of Eden by God the Father, was a spotless lamb that was used in example form. Why do I believe this? Because Jesus is called the "Lamb of God" in the New Testament John 1:36. So before God sent Jesus to the earth to die for our sins AFTER he taught mankind through life experiences to obey him, and God walked with the people, all through the Old Testament, he gave the Garden of Eden example of the shedding of blood to cover (at that time) but to remit (in this time) sin in the New Testament. God's plan for mankind? Hear God's word, Obey God's word, Cast the devil out of your thoughts, words and deeds (by obedience to God's written and living word, Jesus), experience the blessings of God in a devil infested world, recognize good and evil, but don't participate in evil. 146 | What is a cult? | Matt 16:15 | C.S.M. | 154981
Dear truthfinder, Your name is the answer! John 17:17 Jesus says speaking to God the Father, "Sanctify them through your truth: your word IS TRUTH" The problem with mankind is we're looking for truth in all the wrong places! It's not in the world, mankind, ourselves and definitely NOT in the devil! Jesus identified the source of truth: God the Father! Jesus identified the place we can find the truth: The written word of God! Jesus identified what the word of God will do in the life of mankind, it will sanctify them! To get the full import of the study of God's word we must grasp a central fact, there are three kinds of word that apply to the word, "word". The living word is: Jesus Christ The written word is: The Bible The spoken word is: our agreement with the Bible and our agreement with the living Word, Jesus. The world's system of thought, word and deed, are in direct opposition to God and his Son, Jesus Christ, if you have noticed. Anything that does not agree with God has to be a lie, based on what Jesus said to God the Father, "Your word IS TRUTH". Because that is true, then what difference does it make what any man says, if they do not agree with God, through the Bible, which is God's truth? God has all the truth there is, mankind has theories "about" God. God doesn't just know some truth, HE IS TRUTH, himself. Jesus is the exact image of God and he said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life" John 14:6, Heb 1:3. This fact will dissolve all of your questions about "who" is telling the truth! The Bible says about God, "God is not a man, that he should lie" Num 23:19, and Heb 6:18 "It is impossible for God to lie"... Here is the only source of pure, untainted, truth there is, in the written word, concerning the living word, so we can get our spoken word in line with God the Father, who is THE TRUTH! That's enough to make you shout! A cult? Any person, place or thing that does not think, speak, and do the word of Gods truth, the Bible, through Jesus Christ, by the power of God! Always in Christ, C.S.M. |

147 | Matt 16:15 | Matt 16:15 | C.S.M. | 154980
Dear Obi1kanobi, The scripture you are talking about is a primary scripture to understand concerning the workings of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. I John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost; and these three are ONE. This is the basic fact of what theologians call the Trinity of God. Since this scripture is stated so clearly that they are one, the question to ask is, "How are they one, yet three." The Bible is always its own interpreter and says it is spiritually discerned I Cor 2:14 The "natural" man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither "can" he know them for they are spiritually discerned. I Cor 2:13 tells us the Holy Spirit is our teacher, "comparing spiritual things with spiritual." and that it is not man's wisdom he teaches. God's word contains all the spiritual things of God. Ask God to teach you I John 2:27. However, if a man is born again, which means that person has asked God to forgive them of their sins and save them, then they are born again from above, God turns on their "knowers" that have been off from their "natural" birth, to the point they asked God to save them. It has never been God that did not want mankind to know God and his plan for mankind. Scripture says it is satan that blinds the minds of mankind so they cannot see or know God See II Cor 4:3-5 which states the "god of this world "(the system of thought, word and deed)has "blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest (or so that) the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine (or be revealed) unto them." The god of this world system is satan. He is a control freak. He doesn't want mankind to know "the one true God and Jesus whom he has sent" John 17:3 because, "this is eternal life". What is eternal life? Jesus said, "This is eternal life: that they may KNOW you the only true God, and Jesus Christ, Whom you have sent." So here is where mankind gets their "knowers" turned on. Knowing what? God the Father and God the Son and God the Holy Ghost! What is the "process" of this knowing? It does not come overnight! It is a learning process! Why? Because God is so big, full of so much wisdom, knows so much, that if he were to reveal himself all at once to a person, they could not understand, it would literally do what the world says, it would blow your mind! So God gave mankind a method that they could handle, "Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, RIGHTLY dividing the word of God." II Tim 2:15 Does that take 30 seconds or less? No, it is a lifelong process. No human being has the capacity to know all there is to know about God's thoughts, words and deeds that they can come to some pat answer in 30 seconds or less. Should that overwhelm us? No! Why not? The Holy Spirit is the teacher sent from God to guide us into all the truth. John 14:26. Jesus said, God the Father sends the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus to teach us "ALL" things. That covers everything we need to know in spirit, soul, body, being a doer of God's word, family, finance, fellowship, service, resisting the devil, destroying his works, kingdom, thoughts, words and deeds. No human can learn these things without asking God to show them to them, how to walk properly before God, and how to think, speak and act before God. Will God do these things for you? Yes! How do you know he will? Ask him...James 3:2 says, "you have not because you ask not" then your motive and information must be right also,(3) "you ask, and receive not,(why?) you ask amiss" What is amiss? "so that you may consume it on your own lusts." What's that? Don't just ask to get what you want when you want it. Ask God to show you what he wants in your life, show you how to get there from where you are by the word of God, then when he shows you in his word what to do, then just do it! This is the process. It will come to you. It won't be in thirty seconds or less, so don't get impatient with yourself or your learning process. Read God's word. Ask him to reveal it to you personally and show you how to apply what you read in his word. Now you are growing, and will come to the day you can say, Thank you God for all of your wonderful word and works you have done in me, in Jesus name! Always in Christ, C.S.M. |

149 | 3rd division becomes 1st In God's eyes | Luke 3:3 | C.S.M. | 154781
Dear Angel 1, Just as a matter of information, in the Old Testament God called one nation "His People", that was Israel. All other nations were called Gentiles. God made covenant with Israel, and had no such covenant with the "nations" or Gentiles. That was God's division of mankind, not man's. It was only God's people who were circumcised, (and the converts to God's law) so the Gentiles or nations had no such requirement from God. The Jews and the Gentiles made up the whole population of the earth. This of course was from God's viewpoint (really the only one that matters, or should matter to mankind.) One of the reasons, not the only one, but one of the reasons, Jesus came was to create a body of people not called Jews, not called Gentiles, but called "the church." Where was God going to get the people for this new creation called the church? There were only two divisions Jew and Gentile? He draws the church from the only two existing pools of people there are on the earth, Jew and Gentile. I Cor 10:32 Give no offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to THE CHURCH OF GOD: Eph 1:1-23 is describing God's plan of all ages, what God has already done for this group called, "the church" drawn out of the Jewish nation and the Gentile nations... Notice verse 22-23 where Paul is explaining "the church" and is calling it the head and body.... Eph 1:22-23 And (God Himself) has put all thing under his (Jesus) feet, and gave him the head over all things to the CHUCH, (23) which is his body, the fulness of him (God the Father) that fills all in all." Born again people are the body of Christ. Christ is the head of the body of born again people, both Jew and Gentiles. Eph 2:15 called one NEW MAN... II Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be IN CHRIST, he is a NEW CREATURE; old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. Gal 6:15 For IN CHRIST Jesus neither circumcisoion avails any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a NEW CREATURE. (16) And as many as walk according to THIS RULE, peace be on them, and mcercy, and upon the Israel OF GOD. Always In Christ, C.S.M. |

Another scripture you may want to consider is Malchi 4:1-6 the last book of the old testament. Particularly where Malachi stated by the Spirit of God: Remember the law of Moses my servant, which I (i.e.God) commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. (5) Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: (6) And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. The purpose? Hearts turned to God and to each other in love. Matt 11:12-13 Jesus said, "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven sufferes violence, and the violent take it by force. (13)For all the prophests and the law prophesied until John (14) And if you will receive it, THIS IS Elias, which was for to come. (15) He that has ears to hear, let him hear. Concerning John himself: Luke 1:15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor stong drink; AND he shall be FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST even from his mother's womb. (16) and many (not all)of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. (17) And he shall go before him in the SPIRIT AND POWER of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people PREPARED for the Lord. God had prophesied through Malachi to this end, and we are still in "that" day until Jesus comes again. Some Theologians call it the church age. Always In Christ, C.S.M. |

Dear Doc, If the scripture sent does not show the originator of sin as satan and mankind fell from the yielding to his doctrine, then You'll just have to grow more in the Lord to be able to see it. I just agree to disagree with your argument that there has been nothing shown to prove that. My feelings are not in this discussion.. but when your ears and heart are closed there's nothing anyone can do to show you the truth of God's word. I know God is merciful and he will show you in his own time if you will ask him. After all he is the best teacher in the universe. Until then just stay in the word and it has been interesting to visit with you. Do realize that God will make a man more precious than gold through his teaching, and I find it very sobering for myself, to stand before God and I proved the point several times but when they are refused, there is nothing more that can be said until more growth comes to the listener. The Holy Spirit is the guide into all the truth and he is more than enough for each of us to be led in the way he chooses for us. Just a little note in this last post. Have you ever looked up all the scripture in the Epistles relative to Christ with statements, IN him, In whom, by him, with him, by whom etc. It is an eye opener as to what the body of Christ, the church, has IN Him. Be blessed. Always In Christ, C.S.M. |

Doc If in the most basic truths of the scripture, there is still an argument raging in your mind against the obvious truths of God's word, start again, ask God what is right, the word or some other mans theology? I am certain he will say, "My word is truth, no other theology." John 17:17. If he doesn't say that, all mankind is lost. Don't lean so heavily on another man and his theology of long time past, "vain is the help of man" Psm 60:11 "through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies" Psm 60:12 ( both flesh and evil spirits). I assume you know the source of good and evil? Only good comes down from God James 1:17, Micah 6:8 Good is doing justly, loving mercy and humbling yourself to walk with (obey) God. Evil is the opposite of Good! unjust, merciless, pridefilled, disobedience to God. Humility is described as the walk of Jesus: "and being found in fashion as a man, he HUMBLED himself, (how?) and became OBEDIENT....(to whom? God!)(how long? Up to and including)the death of the cross" Phil 2:8 You do realize that is speaking of Jesus even though his name is not "specifically" mentioned in that verse????? Many things are discerned, not just read. God will put the pieces together for you as you do as Jesus said to do, " If you continue in MY WORD THEN you are my disciples (learners) indeed; and you SHALL know the TRUTH and the truth (you know) shall make you free" John 8:31-32 He was talking to Jews that BELIEVED on Him.... There is a difference between a believer and an unbeliever! A believer, believes the word of God. An unbeliever disputes and opposes the word of God. Always in Chirst, C.S.M. |

Response: Doc I did not assert that man does not yeild to sin. There is a difference in the issue of "who is the author of sin, which is opposition to God and his word on every subject" and "does mankind yeild to sin". Of course I gave you Ro 6:16 Know ye not, that TO whom you yield yourselves servants to obey,HIS servants you are to whom you obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness. The point being HIS is a personal pronoun denoting not a situation but a person. Mankind in the garden of Eden made a choice between two persons, God or satan, as we know they chose to obey satan. The result of that DISOBEDIENCE is called sin. Who was the author of subilty? Was it God or satan? Gen 3:1 Did God attempt to deceive the creatures he created in his own image? Gen 1:27? No, it was satan, the subtile one who wanted them to yield their obedience to him so they would be his servant as Romans 6:16 states very clearly. Can a man be drawn away of HIS OWN LUSTS (DESIRES)? Of course, but that was not the issue. Can a man be drawn away of his own will? Ro 7:18 Paul the man that wrote approx. 2/3 of the New testament, in describing the difference between the flesh and the spirit of man, stated about himself, "For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing: for TO WILL is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not." If that was true about the man that God used to write most of the new testament, how much more is that true of every other human being? Paul, in plain Greek (tranlated to English), told us what the flesh is in that passage, it's his self will. Doing opposite, of what God said, in Plain Greek, English, and every other language, has stated is truth: is sin, the author of sin is satan and the perpetrator of sin is a man that yields to satan to obey him, doing opposite of Gods clearly stated word! You do realize that man is a spirit, he has a soul, and he lives in a body. Paul in I Thes 5:23 in praying for BELIEVERS not sinners, prayed: " I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ." (Preserved from what? sin! satan!) How do we know? God is a Spirit (John 4:24) and they that worship him MUST worship him in spirit and in truth (and John 17:17 says truth is: God's word), and We are made in his image, Gen 1:27 which John 4:24 say God's image is spirit! If words mean anything, a child can discern this. The spirit is God's image. The soul is made up of mind, will and emotion. The Body is the flesh house your spirit and soul is lodged in. Otherwise why would the Apostle Paul state In I Thes 5:23 I pray God, your whole spirit, AND soul, AND body be preserved???? Mankind is a three part being! spirit, soul and body. Each part is separate and distinct. If a student of scripture cannot discern between what is being said about each of these distinct areas, they will never be able to correctly (rightly) divide the word of God.II Tim 2:15 If the word can be rightly divided, it can be wrongly divided. If it is rightly divided, God's truth shines forth out of darkness. If it is wrongly divided it shrouds in darkness and blinds the mind. Who is the blinder of minds? II Cor 4:4. I'm assuming you do not know that the "god of this world" is speaking of satan, since his name is not specifically mentioned. Ask yourself the question? Who is the opposser of God? Why does he oppose God? Is it wise to oppose God? Who is the most subtile creature in the universe? Who is the liar, Jesus identified? Who is the source of truth, Jesus identified? Are they exact opposites (the truth teller and the liar)? Are they both spirits? Are people spirit, soul and body? Does mankind operate only on a flesh, aka carnal, level only? Does mankind operate on a spiritual level, in the image of God? Can you discern what is spirit and what is flesh? Is there a difference between spirit and flesh? Can you identify the difference. I have not detected in your answers given to date that you are aware we are dealing with a natural world and a spiritual world simultaneously. While we are in a devil infested world system, we will deal with spirits called devils. I did not say any human had to obey satan, I did not say a human could not yield to satan, what I did say is, satan exists, you will have to deal with him as Jesus said to do in Mark 16:15-20 and it would do you good to quit fighting the obvious and get down to the business Jesus said to do "preach the gospel and cast out devils" among the other things he said to do. But first you must discern there are such things as devils, he is the oppressor, God tells the truth, and it is not up to God to agree with mankind, it is up to mankind to agree with God! |

157 | God is the winner. THE TRUTH! | Acts 10:38 | C.S.M. | 154644
response:Doc CSM If killing, stealing and destroying is not sin then satan is not the author of sin! If killing, stealing and destroying is sin, then satan "IS" the author of sin! John 10:10 If lieing is a sin, then satan is the author of sin. John 8:44 Jesus stated, "You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode NOT IN THE TRUTH, because there is NO TRUTH in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own; for HE IS A LIAR, and the FATHER of it." That agrees with John 10:10 You don't have to agree with me about the subject but it would behoove you to agree with Jesus! I conclude by the Masters own word, satan is the author of sin! A liar! A killer! A destroyer! A thief! Jesus also said, John 8:47 "He that is OF GOD hears God's words: you therefore hear them not, because you are not of God." Remember Jesus said John 17:17 "(God) your WORDS are TRUTH." God's word is Gods' truth, and it is Gods' truth, his word only, that will set mankind free. John 8:31-32 according to Jesus Christ, MY savior! Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man comes to the Father except by Him. John 14:6 Personally Ro 3:4 that states: "let God be true and EVERY MAN a liar" be my guide. I believe what God has said is current truth, not past, not future, for every person born on this planet. It could be a thousand years from now when someone would pick up the Bible and read God's words and they would be just as relevant to that person as they were to the "first" Adam, people now, or any person in the future. Why? God never changes, He is the truth, and truth never changes, He is right, He's the winner! CSM |

158 | Dear Doc Isa 14:8 | Acts 10:38 | C.S.M. | 154596
Dear Doc, Another passage is Isaiah 14:4 as some scholars state that in scripture when the prophet was speaking of "a king" over a nation it refers to the demonic force controlling the "prince" which we would call a king on earth, of that nation. The scripture many times speaks of a natural kingdom and the spiritual kingdom that controls that kingdom..The criteria of that statement is Ro 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom you eield yourselves servants to obey his servants you are to whom you obey; whether of sin unto death or of obedience unto righteousness. Do we agree that satan is the author of sin as Jesus is the author of faith? In that context all of mankind is either serving God or satan. That also agrees with Eph 2:1-3 with the descriptive terms used for satan as "prince of the power of the air", "the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience", these children are also called "the children of wrath" which I discern are those who have obeyed satan "also called wrath," rather than God. We realize the battle between God and satan is the battle for the minds, wills and emotions, or souls of mankind. Isaiah 14:4 (knowing that satan is the oppressor)in the spiritual realm, and the ruler of Babylon was obeying him, we realize that Isa 14:8 is talking about the final defeat of satan,"Since you are laid down, no feller (human being) is come up against us." II Tim 3:16 tells us ALL scripture is given by inspriation of God....so whatever is written is given directly from God's throne, whether it was spoken from the lips of Jesus or inspired by The Holy Spirit or written by the writers of the Old and New Testaments. God is eternal and he had the whole book written over centuries by different "pencils" aka known as prophets, priests and kings, apostles etc. Of course you are right, it was not a direct quote from Jesus, but by the inspirataion of God through Peter, when he went under God's direction to the house of Cornelius, and the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word..Acts 10:44..and part of that word was Acts 10:38. Peter was on his mission commanded of God, and he was reciting the works of God, "how GOD anointed Jesus with THE HOLY GHOST and POWER who went about doing good and HEALING all that were oppressed of the devil." Acts 10:38 Matt 4:23 and 9:35 states the three fold plan of the ministry of Jesus: Teaching, Preaching, and Healing. As we read the gospels these are the three things he did continually. He is our example and we are to do John 14:10, 12, Jesus declared that it was "the Father in me,..he doeth the works" then promptly states "He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also, and greater works than these shall he do because I go to my Father." The church today is supposed to be doing these things like Jesus said, and to do that a person has to realize where the oppression comes from, and when satan is laid down, there won't be any more oppression. God is not the oppressor, mankind, without satan's influence, won't be fighting each other any more or oppressing according to Isa 14:8. C.S.M. |

159 | to doc | Gen 1:1 | C.S.M. | 154563
Dear Doc, No blasphemy intended or implied. Oppression is of the devil according to Acts 10:38, of course it comes through people so some would assume there is a dividing line between some oppression and others, yet if we truely believe the words of Christ he does know the source of all things, including oppression. He said it is of the devil, no human being said that.... I will never blaspheme Jesus, sorry you were offended. Always In Christ, C.S.M. |
