Welcome to the Study Bible Forum moonzzup. Psalm 139:16 is a good place to see where God says that God has written in His book all our days that have been ordained for us. I believe God knows who will become His follower and who will reject Him meaning Jesus Christ, then it can be said some will be chosen for His Kingdom and some will enter eternity in hell forever. The question is not does God make them go to hell, but rather He knows who will and who will not become a born again genuine believer In Jesus Christ. There is a fine line and it's all related to our free will which He knows before we are even born. I hope this helps. justme So if God knows who will be a genuine born again follower of Jesus Christ |

125 | the SBF what can we do? | John 17:17 | justme | 242293
ED" Amen and Amen. Let us pray that there is an awakening is those who once were here and those presently active in the SBF. Pray that there will be a sensitivity within all those involved to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Lockman may well own this SBF but it is really the Lords. Let each of us welcome each other with brotherly love and visitors with a genuine kindness, and openness that Jesus Christ would do. justme |

126 | USA declares independence from GOD | Not Specified | justme | 242292
June 26,2015 will be a day long remembered. Today the United States declared it's independence from the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. In turning against the WORD of God has clearly said. The Supreme Court in the most ungodly statement they have declared homosexual's can be legally joined in an unholy union. Bible believing pastors and Churches may soon find they are an open target for not allowing these unholy unions to take place on their campus. I also believe the United States no longer is under the Lords protection, and calamities should be expected upon our land. God save the United States. Justme |

128 | the SBF what can we do? | John 17:17 | justme | 242282
Doc: Perhaps some would say they have prayer for a long time already. I can't help but see how many were very regular in posting but are no longer here. I am deeply grieved that so many in the past who put so much into the SBF are gone. I remember Hank, and for many years spent hour upon hour into building this forum, I have been with this forum from 2000, others like EdB have been from the beginning, and so have others. I am deeply concerned for the SBF. One concern I have is we all knew who the moderator was when hank was moderator. Now it's something nobody cares to say. I wonder why? The final authority is sometimes who is the firmist or cuts the conversation when it gets too war. Sometimes issues need to be dialogued out for the Lords glory so we can see love at work. I am not ashamed to admit when I am wrong, or to say I am sorry, or even to say I admire someone. I am not ashamed to call for prayer as well. Why are prayer request not encouraged? I know this is a Bible Forum, but we get to know each other and it's nice to know others are joining us in prayer. Well at least I think so. I ask again what can be done to improve our SBF? justme |

129 | the SBF what can we do? | Not Specified | justme | 242275
Study Bible Forum Members: I have a very serious concern for our forum. Over the years I have noticed the activity of the SBF dwindling down with very little activity. I have wondered why so many of those who were once very active are seldom posting any longer. I hope you too have pondered the same question. I have tried to think of ways that I can stimulate activity on the SBF. I came to a few points that I have noticed what might help. Sometimes we forget to welcome new visitors to the forum. At times we are quick to refer visitors to the SEARCH box rather than giving a personal response. I think this is less welcoming and a little lazy, the quick way out. I seldom refer to the SEARCH box. How often do we open a dialogue to some really hot topic listed some place we visited. The Christian Post is a good place to find some hot topics. Maybe bring up some issue with your denomination, or other religion. I feel we have a golden opportunity here to at least open the door for someone to question their self about their eternal destination. I watch WRETCHED on NRB tv at night. Then there is WAY OF THE MASTER with Ray Comfort that is a dymanic evangelist that teaches open street preaching that I have learned a lot from. this would be an interesting topic to dialogue as well. I find more information to talk about there. Lockman has been very kind to allow this forum to continue, and I sincerely feel they would be pleased to see more activity here. I wish we could have a space for prayer requests as well. I once belonged to a Christian forum that allowed all kinds of junk with restrictions only on people who were more fundamental in their theology. I was kicked off and that was very upsetting to me. We have guidelines and they are for the most part quite open to most. If anyone wants to email me go to my user info and I would be pleased to hear from you. I know I am an old fashion man, I turn 70 this month, but I want to think young and open. I would love to see the SBF become a beehive of activity. justme |

131 | Time limit of adultery in marriage | Bible general | justme | 242263

132 | Time limit of adultery in marriage | Bible general | justme | 242262
Rod: Welcome to the Study Bible Forum. On the surface 17 years seams like a long enough time to forgiveness to taken effect. However, there are other questions that come to my mind. Here are some issues that would hamper healing and cause a wife to disbelieve a husband was still, perhaps unfaithful. A wondering eye, always looking for women who expose their breasts in low cut tops. Looking at magazines that expose women's bodies, even clothing advertisements. You flirting with women. These are a few ways that would bring into question that a true repentant heart has taken hold. Now here is a issue for your wife, if she has not or can not reach a spot where the hurt was so great that she can't get the hurt out of her mind, and perhaps after 17 years that's not possible for her, what else can you do? She, as you state it for what ever reason be it a hard heart or some reason wants out. I can't help wonder where the LORD has ben in your marriage? Most always when this amount of time has passed and there is still unforgiveness, the LORD Jesus was ignored in the healing of damaged emotions. This marriage is not beyond healing. But, in order for complete healing to happen you must become a brand new man in Jesus Christ. This is not something that comes natural, only by becoming in love with the WORD of GOD, and by renewing you mind and your actions, thinking, and reactions is there any hope. Even with this it may well take the rest of your life to restart you marriage. As long as she remains single there is hope. But even is she remarries you have become a new creation in Christ a man who is now healed his soul and able to be a completely able to start a new relationship in Jesus Christ. May I suggest start reading the four Gospels and 1 and 2 Corinthians first. I sincerely hope you will take this long Journey into your healing. Few really do take this seriously, but for those who are really wanting wholeness the reward is a new transformed mind and soul. May you enter a journey that will last a lifetime in Jesus Christ. justme |

136 | Islam the religion that hates Christians | Not Specified | justme | 241967
I BOUGHT A English translation of the Qur"an. After reading it I have strong feelings about Muslim's. Anyone who says that Islam is a religion of peace has not read the Qur'an. The Qur'an calls for Muslims to make war with Christians and Jews. Chapter 9:29. Muslims are commanded to kill idolaters who do not accept Islam. hose who believe Jesus is God are infidels. Jews and Christians are to be attacked and terrorized. Muslims are to lie and deceive infidels (Christian's and Jew's). The way Muslim men are to treat women is horrid to say the least. Muslim men can have more than one wife, and their treatment of young females is unbelievable. I see Islam as a religion in which Satan is very pleased with. When is see so many people on TV are saying how kind, peaceful Muslims are, I can hardly believe what I am hearing. I see how many Muslims have been placed in very important positions in our government I am deeply concerned. When I see a Muslim in a store I have strong feelings that bother me. How am I as a Christian to treat these people of this religion of hate and deception? justme |

138 | How do I know / feel / experience God | 1 Cor 1:28 | justme | 241914
zeagel: I tool the time to read all your posts, and by the way welcome to the study Bible Forum. Your desire to "feel" or experience God is what we all desire, and if you din'nt I would think something was wrong....you are normal. I personally can say the times I feel closest to Jesus Christ is when I am really involved with reading the Bible. I mean more than a casual basis, but reading for perhaps a half an hour. That is how God speaks to you....by reading His word. The Holy Spirit teaches and reveals things to us that way. Prayer is very important, that's us speaking to God. Reading His Holy Word is allowing God to speak to us, and when we combine these in the proper balance we no longer feel we are missing something. As you grow and experience God in prayer and reading the Bible you will learn as Job did that feelings mean little. For instance some days I feel so close to my bride of almost 46 years, some days even if she in right next to me, I can feel distant. It really is how I am relating, not how things really are. Feelings can depend on how much pain I am in or how good I am feeling. Feelings are undependable. May I suggest you read John first and then 1John, they pretty much go together. Don't expect growth to come easy or fast, it takes time and hours spent in studying the Bible to become mature, I also want to tell you it's work, Satan will do all his tricks to stop you from growing in Christ.....it's his main effort to discourage you so you will give up and fall away. If you are a genuine Follower of Jesus Christ trials and tribulations Satan will do all he can to destroy your faith. I have seen lost of people show an interest in Jesus Christ, but gave up because it was too difficult or too hard to repent and leave the sins they were so attached to. I pray your faith will grow and prove you are a genuine born again follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. Blesings. justme |

139 | Can Christians be fooled by a 4 year old | Not Specified | justme | 241887
Can Christians be fooled? Yes, when we take something or someone that adds to or takes a false story and makes it look and sound so real. The key to being sure something is true is the BIBLE. Recently over the last couple of years, Alex Malarkey told the story how he went to heaven and came back with a fantastic thrilling story of what heaven is like. He and his pastor father and mother were on TV and in churches telling of his wonderful event that took pace as he was in a coma. His story of his event that happened to this four year old was put in bool form, THE BOY WHO CAME BACK FROM HEAVEN. Most Christian and secular book stores had this yellow covered book placed where you could not miss it. Many Christian TV stations stood behind Alex and praised the book and even encouraged Christians to order it now, from the TV station. Here is the point, NEVER believe anything that is not inline with the BIBLE. MSN today January 16, 2015 "Alex Malarkey recanted his story as a lie. He said all people need to do is read the Bible. LifeWay Christian Book store is pulling all the books as so is many other stores. So many Christians were fooled. This has to be the spoof of the 21st century. justme |
