121 | does one need to be baptised to be saved | John 3:5 | ROGER459 | 130339
No, Water Baptism does Not Save! Perhaps 'belief in Jesus' should be qualified by John 7:38 and Luke 19:8-9-10. World Opinion, does not invalidate the Word of God! Thank you!

Water Baptism "Cannot Save Anyone!" Perhaps you missed Ephesians 2:8-9-10? Is Baptism a Work? (Titus 3:5) Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; PLEASE COME OUT OF THE CLOSET? 123 | does one need to be baptised to be saved | John 3:5 | ROGER459 | 130643
"The Holy Spirit indwelling the Beleiver" is in one word, "SALVATION!" The Spirit comes upon Believing, in response to John 7:39, as seen in Gal 3:2. Upon Belief, Real Scritpural Belief, the Holy Spirit, "Baptises the person into the Body of Christ, according to 1Corinthians 12:13!" That happens when the transaction takes place, and that Believer is Sealed with the Holy Spirit! "Water Cannot Do that!" Then perhaps you will see in the "One Baptism of (Eph 4:5) One Lord, one faith, one baptism, "A Spiritual Transaction" and not one of Water! There is a denomination called "the Church of Christ!" I spent months studying their doctrine. Bottom line, they believe that the Blood of Chirst has no effect on the persons sins, "Till they are Water Baptized!" That doctrine is right from Hell, as Paul said in Gal 1:8-9. I even asked what if a member of the COC falls away, and repents? I was told that they are Re-Baptized! And if they fall away again, or move to another area and "Cannot produce a letter-of-Baptism, what then? They are Baptized Again? Which of those are the "One Baptism of Eph 4:5? The persond could not answer! For those that still believe that Water can save, what did Paul say in 1Corinthians 1:13-18 and especilly V17! Did Christ send Paul to Preach the Gosple or to Baptize. They are not the same, as he indicated in these verses! You see, "SALVATION" is the Holy Spirit! Nothing More, Nothing Less! Romans 8:9 seals that, If you do not have the Spirit, You do not belong to God, "even if you have been water batized!" Ephesians 2:10 says, NOT OF WORKS! Is water batism a Work? It is surely "Not Grace!" Then it is a Work! The Holy Spirit through Paul said it, (Rom 11:6) And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. Baptism is definitely a Work. Salvation is by Grace, Eph 2:8-9-10! Water Baptism is only an "OUTWARD TESTIMONY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT! NOTHING MORE!" Hear the words of Paul again, (Gal 4:6) And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. IMAGINE THIS, AND WITHOUT WATER BAPTISM, THAT MY FRIEND IS THE SAVING GRACE OF GOD! PLAIN AND SIMPLE! Thank you! |

124 | does one need to be baptised to be saved | John 3:5 | ROGER459 | 130644
Perhaps we could include "Feet Washing, John 13" along with water baptism as a mandate? Why one and not the other? Thank you!
125 | does one need to be baptised to be saved | John 3:5 | ROGER459 | 130676
(1Pe 3:21) The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: HERE IS THE KEY! (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) THE ACTUAL ACT OF BAPTISM, But the Answer of a CLEAR conscience Toward GOD! I have a question for you? You say you confess your sins daily? What about the Sin of 2Chron 12:14 and Psalms 90:8? Thank you! |

Please dont' politely "Slander Me?" as I do not have any "special dechphering" as you wrongly suggest! Your use of the 'decoder ring' suggests that Slander is your way of "Discussion as an Adult? NOT OF WORKS, LEST ANY MAN BOAST..Eph 2:8-9-10. Why can't you just 'come out of the closet?'and say plainly that you believe that one cannot be 'wholy saved without water baptism?' Once again that "Church-e-antity" tries to Overide the Word of God! Once again, "ONE DOES NOT NEED TO BE WATER BAPTIZED TO BE SAVED!" (Gal 3:2) This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? PLEASE ANSWER THE QUESTION THE HOLY SPIRIT ASKED THROUGH PAUL IN Galatians 3:2? Thank you! |

129 | does one need to be baptised to be saved | John 3:5 | ROGER459 | 131044
Salvatin is being Sealed with the Holy Spirit! 1Corinthians 12:13 and Romans 8:9. That is why Paul said: (Gal 3:2) This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? AND I WILL ASK YOU, How did you recieve the Spirit, by Water Baptism or the Hearing of Faith? Thank you! |

130 | does one need to be baptised to be saved | John 3:5 | ROGER459 | 131101
IT IS WRITTEN..Luke 4:4 (Ephesians 2:8-9-10) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (Eph 2:9) Not of works, lest any man should boast.(Eph 2:10) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Titus 3:5) Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; (Galatians 3:2) This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Now, how can I add anything to the Finished Work of Christ. Upon Believing on Christ and His payment for 'my sins' , "HOW COULD I ADD ANYTHING TO THAT? Upon believing, "as the Scripture has said..John 7:38" I was given the Holy Spirit, which is God's assurance that I am His Child. IT IS HIS FINISHED WORK! (2Corinthians 4:7) But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. This Treasure, God's Holy Spirit, is His redemption of anyone who Believes on Christ! This is what God says in His Word, and "not what some church or denomination says!" He again says: (Ephesians 1:13-14) In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise,(Eph 1:14) Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory. Salvation came first, by the Holy Spirit, yet you tell me that Baptism is a part of that? The Word of God, tells me something different! Who am I to believe, "you or God?" Once again, Salvation is by Grace, through Faith! God in response send His Holy Spirit, to seal that Beliver, that the Power in us, may be of Him and not ourselves. You trust in His Finished Word, or you trust in your own works! You cannot have it both ways, for the Word says: (Romans 11:6) And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. The "FINSHED WORK OF CHRIST" is complete! How can you add anything to salvation? How can you add works [baptism] to Grace, and say it is a part of Salvation? You CAN'T! I simply ask you, for a moment, to get a piece of paper. Draw a Large Cross on it, from the top to the Bottom. On the LH side, add in your doctrine of Baptism as 'what you understand to be a part of Salvation'. Oh the Rh side, take these scriptures, and then Compare them to the Finished Work of Christ! You will have to conclude, that God's Word holds all authority above any church or denomination, as Christ said, "IT IS WRITTEN..Matt 4:4" Then rethink you position. Ask God if what He said in His Word, is the Truth? [John 17:17] Thank you! |

135 | Does asking in His name ever work? | John 14:13 | ROGER459 | 130074
THE WORD OF GOD 'IS NOT' A TRICK! You first have to qualify 'ALL your asking with James 4:3 and Ephesians 5:17. Then you have to ask your self, "how have I used the Resources that God has given me, up to this point?" Read Luke 16:10-11-12 and answer the Questions? Remember God is not Santa Clause, and perhaps he has given you the "Ability and the Opportunity to WORK", and you have decided not to? COUNT THE COST as Christ said in Luke 9:62, Thank you!
136 | What is meant by the' greater sin'? | John 19:11 | ROGER459 | 131147
(Luke 12:48) But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more. In the above verse, you can see that 'to whom much is given is much required!' Sin can be either Single or Plural. "All unrighteousness is Sin, [1John 5:17]. (James 4:17) Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. The Pharassees, the Religious RULLERS, knew the Word, but rejected it, because they said: (John 11:48-52) If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on Him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.(John 11:49) And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all, (John 11:50) Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not. (John 11:51) And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; (John 11:52) And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad. They were religious, but had no interest in the Redemption offered by Jesus! They had the "GREATER SIN" because they 'knew better and still did Wrong!' Thank you! |

137 | Purpose of attending church? | Acts 2:45 | ROGER459 | 130590
(2TIMOTHY 4:1-4) I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, Who shall judge the quick and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom;(2Tim 4:2) Preach the Word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. (2Tim 4:3) For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;(2Tim 4:4) And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. THE PURPOSE OF THE CHURCH can be defiend by these 4 verses. The Kingdom, the Word, the Time and the Rejection. The seven Churches in Revelation 2 and 3 are no more than 'seven conditions' of Believers in any time of their 'walk with Christ!' CHURCH-ANITY is the Death of the Church, for it leaves out the Christ of the Word, the True Biblical Worship and the Glory of God! Hope this was a stimulus? Thank you! |

138 | What did Antioch look like? | Acts 13:14 | ROGER459 | 130825
If you will go to some of the Archeological Sites on the Internet they will give you some ideas. "What difference does it make anyway what it LOOKED LIKE?" MAY I ask you a Question? Can you tell what Paul did there, why he came, and why he left and how he left? Thank you! P.S. My Time Machine is down for Repairs!
139 | God is Light? | Acts 26:18 | ROGER459 | 130532
(1Thes 5:5) Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. |
||||||
140 | God is Light? | Acts 26:18 | ROGER459 | 130576
Which Light are you speaking about? The visual light we see as humans? Perhaps if the translators used the 'right Capitalization' we would not be discussing these things? Perhaps we should see as God sees? (Psalms 139:12) Yea, the darkness hideth not from Thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to Thee. Thank you! |
