101 | Does God have multiple motivations? | Deut 29:29 | Love Fountain | 27936
Dear Fran, As I was reading through the responses of this thread, I wanted to let you know that I am truly touched by your responses because I also am a parent and can relate to the love that you are talking about. The love of a parent towards a child is in my understanding unconditional, and I am pretty convinced that it is due to God's unconditional love that He sent His Son to die for the rest of us, so we can repent and seek His will which He has laid out for us to follow. Anyways, thanks for the love. Bless you, Love Fountain |

102 | The Miracles of Elisha | 2 Kings | Love Fountain | 38156
Dear Makarios, Thank you for listing the miracles of Elisha. Please allow me to add a couple things. While Elijah participated in eight miracles, we know that Elisha asked for a double portion of Elijah's spirit in 2Kings 2:9 and it was given to him because he had eyes to see Elijah being taken up in a whirlwind. By this double portion, Elisha participated in sixteen miracles and you have listed fourteen. How about, Bread multiplied in 2Kings 4:43, this is separate from purifying the poisoned stew in 4:41 and, Opens the eyes of men(restoring sight) in 2Kings 6:20, which is different than the giving of special sight to the king's messenger in 6:16,17. In addition to the list you provided please add the two above and you have sixteen miracles for a double portion of Elijah given to Elisha. Bless you, Love Fountain |

103 | The Miracles of Elisha | 2 Kings | Love Fountain | 38584
Dear Makarios, You stated,"* Parts the Jordan River - 2 Kings 2:13-14 * Makes Jericho spring drinkable - 2 Kings 2:19-22 * Sends bears to punish irreverent youths - 2 Kings 2:23-25 * Floods ditches to confuse Moabites - 2 Kings 3:1-27 * Multiplies widow's oil - 2 Kings 4:1-7 * Shunammite woman bears a son - 2 Kings 4:8-17 * Resurrects Shunammite's son - 2 Kings 4:18-37 * Purifies poisoned stew - 2 Kings 4:38-44 * Heals Naaman's leprosy - 2 Kings 5:1-14 * Gehazi struck with leprosy - 2 Kings 5:15-27 * Floats lost axhead - 2 Kings 6:1-7 * Gives special sight to the king's messenger - 2 Kings 6:16-17 * Blinds the Aramean army - 2 Kings 6:8-23 * His bones resurrect a dead man - 2 Kings 13:20-21 [Taken from the Ryrie Study Bible Expanded Edition, 1995, The Moody Bible Institute of Chicago, Charles Caldwell Ryrie, Th.D., Ph.D., pg. 586] - Makarios" Then you state," * Strike men with blindness - 2 Kings 6:18 " This is a double post. Striking men with blindness(2Kings 6:18) is the same as blinding the aramean army(2Kings 6:8-23) as you already stated. Elijah did 8 miracles and Elisha was given a double portion of Elijah's spirit and performed sixteen miracles not seventeen. I am confused why you brought up prime numbers? What is a prime number and what does this have to do with Elijah and Elisha? Isn't a double portion like saying 8 times 2 equals 16? The Bible says double portion, not double portion plus one. Bless you, Love Fountain |

Dear Ray, Thank you for your answer! I really enjoyed reading the verses and comparisons you quoted. Bless you, Love Fountain Prov 8:10-12 10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. 11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. 12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. Dear New Creature, Thank you for sharing the words of love and the lesson we can all ponder. May you be born from above and blessed by the word of God. Bless you, Love Fountain 1 Peter 1:21-23 21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. 22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: 23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 106 | Doubleminded? | Ps 119:113 | Love Fountain | 31355
Dear Searcher56, Thanks for your response. One of the verses you suggested I find great interest in because it tells a double minded person how to be purified. James 4:8 8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. KJV Draw near to God's word and absorb it into your heart and be cleansed, is what I understand as the cure to doublemindedness. Bless you, Love Fountain |

108 | Please explain breastplate of righteous | Is 59:17 | Love Fountain | 40744
Dear ck1, My sincerest wishes of comfort and blessing go to you and your family! You have some very deep questions that I believe can only be answered by the Word of our Father. We do need each other for fellowship, comfort, support and guidance among many other things, but ultimately your answers are in the Bible. If you don't understand at first it is ok, just keep reading and don't give up and watch the Scripture open up for you. If you have one specific question at a time, I will do my best to answer with Scripture if you'd like. Bless you from my heart, Love Fountain Matt 7:7-8 7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 109 | Please explain breastplate of righteous | Is 59:17 | Love Fountain | 40749
Dear ck1, You state," I will become fully Armed as He would have me with no insecurity. I do believe. I am seeking, knocking, and ready to receive." Once you become fully armed with the Word in your heart and mind, you will find the following as a description of how we are to be in the following verses, Col 3:12-17 12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. KJV Bless you, Love Fountain Eph 6:14-17 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: KJV |

110 | What do people boast about? Why? | Jer 9:23 | Love Fountain | 27787
Dear searcher, Happy Holidays! No, I am deeply saddened that there is not much change since then in the way people behave and boast. I love and believe in Jesus and am very grateful for the forgiveness of sins, which He accomplished for us. I really like Jer 9:24 when God says boast that you know Me, which is what makes Him happy. The only way we can truly know Him is by reading the Word He graciously has given to us to know Him by. Jesus lives! Bless you, Love Fountain |

111 | Where are the people of Dan 11:32 in NT? | Dan 11:32 | Love Fountain | 35130
Dear Benjamite, According to the commentaries then are you saying that the book of Daniel is history and not prophetic, in relations to the end time? Bless you, Love Fountain |

112 | Where are the people of Dan 11:32 in NT? | Dan 11:32 | Love Fountain | 35176
Dear Benjamite, Thanks for your response. When you say,"11:36 then begins the description of the Antichrist's career." This is still future from OUR standpoint (as the rest of it was also future from Daniel's), this belief is confusing to me. For one reason is Dan 11:21 - Dan 12:3 is what I believed to be future for "us". Please read in verse 21 that the antichrist is called "a vile person" in the KJV, which is one of twelve titles given to the antichrist. Who else could this be? I also would like to know which two commentaries I can read that say future is from Dan 11:36 on and that Dan 11:21 - 35 are past. Many scholars believe that in Dan 11:31, "take away the daily sacrifice", marks the middle of the "week" or the last seven years. Many believe from this point the antichrist is energized by satan. My question still stands, who are the people from Dan 11:32 who know their God and do exploits and where are they in the New Testament with reference to the end time? Bless you, Love Fountain |

113 | Where are the people of Dan 11:32 in NT? | Dan 11:32 | Love Fountain | 35207
Dear believer57, You say,"How do we know that in v. 21 it is the antichrist who is called a "vile person" (KJV) or "despicable person" (NASB)?" Regarding the "vile person", the prophecy concerning him continues to the end of the chapter. It is parallel with Dan 7:8, 8:9, and 9:26,27. He is not another successional king of the north, but a totally different and unique personage, still future. He comes in by flatteries and is attacked by both a king of the north and king of the south in verse 40. In Matt 24 we are told of the end of the world and what will be the signs. Antiochus is not the abomination of desolation at the end of the world. Matt 24:3 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? KJV Matt 24:15 15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) KJV Dan 12:11 11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. KJV Dan 11:31 31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate. KJV I don't see a difference in the abomination that maketh desolate in Matt 24, Dan 12 or Dan 11, are they not all the antichrist in referrence to the end of the world? Also, is the taking away of the daily sacrifice in Dan 11:31 and Dan 12:11 different or how is there a difference in Dan 9:27? In Dan 8:12 we also find referrence to the daily sacrifice which belongs also to the time of the end and was not fulfilled by Antiochus. The career of Antiochus was only a foreshadowing of the fulfillment to come by him who is known as the "little horn". Bless you, Love Fountain |

Dear Benjamite, ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION. Interpreted by premillennialists as the idolatrous image to be set up by the final Antichrist (the "beast," or "man of lawlessness" of 2 Thess 2:3-4) in the restored Temple at Jerusalem in the latter half of Daniel's seventieth week (Dan 9:27; 12:11). For the first part of the three and one-half days (years) of the prophetic week of years, the Antichrist keeps his covenant with the Jews. At the beginning of the last half of the week he breaks it (Zech 11:16-17), compelling the Jews to worship his image. This is "the abomination (idol) of the desolator" or "the idol that causes desolation" (cf. Dan 11:31; 12:11), inaugurating the period of "Jacob's trouble" (Jer 30:7), a time of terrible suffering to Palestinian Jews of the end time, of which our Lord spoke (Matt 24:15). In Dan 11:31 the reference is to the act of Antiochus Epiphanes, prototype of the final Antichrist, who, in June 168 BC desecrated the Temple at Jerusalem. He built an altar to Jupiter Olympus on the altar of burnt offering, dedicated the Temple to this heathen deity, and offered swine's flesh. Premillennialists maintain that neither Antiochus Epiphanes nor the Romans under Titus in A.D. 70 AD exhausted Daniel's prophecy, which still awaits fulfillment. Amillennial interpretation, however, sees a fulfillment in the advance of the Romans against Jerusalem in A.D. 70 AD with their image-crowned standards, which were regarded as idols by the Jews. (From The New Unger's Bible Dictionary. Originally published by Moody Press of Chicago, Illinois. Copyright (c) 1988.) ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION A despicable misuse of the Temple of the Lord during a time of great trouble-an event foretold by the prophet Daniel. The phrase is found in Matt 24:15 and Mark 13:14 as a quotation from Dan 11:31 and 12:11. In Daniel, the words mean "the abomination that makes desolate." In other words, Daniel prophesied that the Temple would be used for an "abominable" purpose at some time in the future. As a result, God's faithful people would no longer worship there-so great would be their moral revulsion, contempt, and abhorrence at the sacrilege-and the Temple would become "desolate." According to the verses in the gospels, a similar misuse of the Temple would take place in the future. This would show that a time of great trouble was coming on Judea. People should take warning and flee to the mountains (Matt 24:16; Mark 13:14). Some believe Daniel's prophecy was fulfilled about 165 BC when Antiochus IV (Epiphanes), Greek ruler of Syria, polluted the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem by sacrificing a pig on the holy altar. This sacrificing of an UNCLEAN pig was the worst kind of abomination that could have taken place. These people also believe the prophecy in the Gospels of Matthew and Mark was fulfilled when the Romans sacked the Jewish Temple about A.D. 70 AD. But others believe just as strongly that neither of these prophecies has yet been completely fulfilled. They insist that the abomination of desolation refers to the idolatrous image or the "man of sin" who will take over God's place in the Temple and make people bow down and worship him (2 Thess 2:3-4). According to this interpretation, this will be the final act of sacrilege that marks the beginning of the end time. 116 | Where are the people of Dan 11:32 in NT? | Dan 11:32 | Love Fountain | 35222
Dear Benjamite, Thank you again for your response. In the Bible we have many examples of things to come which happen in the past so that we are not left untold of what is to come or what has been. History repeats itself into existence of a future occurrence time and time again. So with this in mind, my question still stands, where are the people in Dan 11:32 in the NT? History leads us to believe the Macabbeans in that time as you have stated , but how about the future, which is what my question is focused on? What do you think? Bless you, Love Fountain |

Dear EdB, Yes! Thank you! You state,"People have got to start reading the Bible and stop listening to every wind of doctrine." A friend of mine brought up a very good point recently. He said,"people read every book cover to cover, beginning to end, chapter by chapter, every book except one.........the Bible." Is it not true, that the only book in the World that will help people, they choose not to read and if they do read they don't read it all the way through. Everyone's answers are awaiting them in the letter written to them from their Father. Remember how many time Jesus said,"haven't you read?" Bless you, Love Fountain Prov 8:32-35 32 Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways. 33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. 34 Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. 35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.
