108 | Wisdom - Salvation in Christ? | James 1:5 | Mommapbs | 121048
Might James be addressing unbelievers here? After quite a study on the wisdom of God, it seems possible that the wisdom he notes is referencing salvation. See Job 28: 12-28; Prov 9:10; 1 Cor 1:18-31 and "you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus." 2 Tim 3:15 |

111 | The Book of Life? | Ps 69:28 | Mommapbs | 120671
Bruce7 - Who are the dead? Whose name will not be in the book of Life? (Dan 12:1 refers to the promised remnant of Israel that will be saved.) You haven't answered what I asked: May they be blotted out of the book of life And may they not be recorded with the righteous.Ps 69:28 Might it be that every soul since Adam and Eve is written in the book of life and those who are not declared righteous are blotted out? The LORD said to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book. Ex 32:33 - and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life. The LORD said to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book. 115 | "Am I truly in God's family?" | 1 Cor 11:30 | Mommapbs | 120398
Rowdy, you've asked: "Am I truly in God's family?" and "Are there any on-going sins in my life for which I have failed to repent?" My counsel to you would be to "doubt your doubts" and seriously re-consider what you have presented here. The believer has nothing to fear - for perfect love cast out fear. Re-visit 1 John 5 - We know that we are children of God because He gives us His Spirit to assure us! Romans 8:16 How does lack of repentence from sin in the life of a believer disqualify him from the inheritance that he has been promised by God in Christ? May God confirm His love for you! mommapbs |

118 | Grace AND? | Matt 6:20 | Mommapbs | 120220
Greetings Rowdy, Are you suggesting that our salvation is based upon Grace AND works? At first you write, "IF we've complied with the terms and conditions of Jesus' Last Will and Testament, we qualify to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and go home to God the Father." What are those terms? Then, you ask: Is our name in the Book of Life? How can we be certain? How can we be certain we'll get into the gate at the final showing of the bridegroom? You answer: Put our talents to work for Him . . . a (and) By studying God's Word and staying in constant prayer to God, keeping God's light brightly shining throughout the world in our lives . . . didn't the Parisees DO these things? As I read what you have written, where does grace enter the picture of salvation that you have painted? Blessings, mommapbs |

119 | Treasure? | Matt 6:20 | Mommapbs | 120168

120 | Righteousness of God? | 2 Cor 5:21 | Mommapbs | 120120
Jesus Christ is the "righteousness of God." (Romans 3:21) However, using this reference, (2 Cor 5:21) I was told that believers are the "righteousness of God." Might one get the notion of acquired divinity - (we will all become gods) unless we focus on the words, "IN HIM?" I'd appreciate some input here!
