6 | What is a eunuch? | Not Specified | sdtaylor99 | 107728
Concerning eunuchs. Matthew 19:12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from [their] mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive [it], let him receive [it]. My understanding of a eunuch is one that has been castrated. Is this correct? And if so, is this verse talking about what I think it is talking about? I don’t want to get vulgar, so I hope you understand what I am talking about. Thank you for any replies. |

7 | Did Jesus ever drink wine? | Not Specified | sdtaylor99 | 107943
Did Jesus ever drink wine? The only verse that I can come up with where it might insinuate that He did is the following: Mat 11:18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil. Mat 11:19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children. Is Jesus saying here that He did drink wine? And if He did was if fermented wine? |

8 | Who are the sons of God in Genesis 6:2? | Not Specified | sdtaylor99 | 108022
Gen 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. Concerning the sons of God; I have heard two different answers to this. First, the sons of God could be the sons of Seth, while the daughters of men are the offspring of Cain. Second, the sons of God were fallen angels that were looking upon the daughters of men. It seems to me that the second is a more accurate account. Is this right? |

10 | Genesis 10:5 and 11:1? | Not Specified | sdtaylor99 | 108644
I know the Bible does not contradict itself, but I am have trouble understanding two different verses in Genesis. Gen 10:5 By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations. Notice the dividion was of lands, tongue, and families. My question is concerning the tongue. Now notice my next verse, which is in the future from this verse. Gen 11:1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. Have the people advanced into one language or is Genesis 10:5 speaking of something else? |

14 | RAPTURE: PRE-TRIBULATION OR NOT? | Bible general Archive 2 | sdtaylor99 | 108066
Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. Look at the context of this verse. It may help you out. The voice that John heard told him that he would "shew thee things which must be hereafter." The question that needs to be ask her is, "hereafter what?" In chapter 2 and 3 of Revelation, we are told about the church ages, so the voice has to be talking about the things after the church age. 2 Thessalonians 2:7 speaks of the Holy Spirit being taken out of this world. When the Holy Spirit is taken away, the believer will go to heaven with the Holy Spirit, becuase we have the promise that God will never leave us, nor forsake us in Hebrews 13:5 The church is not mentioned again in Revelation until we see the church coming back with Jesus in Revelation 19:7-14. This tells me that when we leave this world, the tribulation will start and then we will come back with Christ when he comes to fight against the army of the Beast. I hope this has been helpful to you. Keep growing in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. |

15 | RAPTURE: PRE-TRIBULATION OR NOT? | Bible general Archive 2 | sdtaylor99 | 108079
Most people use Matthew 24, but they overlook this verse. Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. According to the Scripture, the elect are those that are in Christ and they are predestinate to become like Christ. Rom 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. So here we see that our days will be shortened. |
