2 | Fear of praying in public out loud? | John 11:42 | jlpangilinan | 243741
There are some instructions/commandments that Jesus Christ gave to his people about prayers. Mt 6:5 ¶ And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. Mt 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. Mt 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Mt 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. Perhaps, it is depend in anyone intentions why they have to pray loud or to pray in secret. It is depend also in situation. When I was young, we have this Christ Ambassador camp every summer, the objective of that youth camp is to win the unbeliever and tried to convert them to follow Christ. We do everything in our capacity to make a noise, praying, singing, etc etc to catch anyone attention for what we are doing and hope that by doing these things we can influence people (specially the youth) to be aware about Jesus Christ and its ministry. But we also taught to pray in our own, so if we are inside our home or rooms I don't think we have to shout or to be loud to amplify the prayers. In this case we can ask our Father in secret and ask forgiveness in secret and He might answered our prayers in secret. I cannot imagine myself praying out loud saying "Lord forgive me because me and the my neighbor has sexual relationship" the result could be dangerous, it is not only defame the person but also the reaction of the people involved could be violent. |

3 | Place of torment? | Luke 16:19 | jlpangilinan | 243740
Purgatory indeed is a good place to have additional income/collections for the Church. If the priest told you that the soul of your love ones is in purgatory, then what you need to do is to offer prayer for them to make sure that sooner or later their soul will be eventually go to heaven. And then, it requires payment. Unfortunately purgatory is not written in the scriptures, believing such a thing is not biblical but a Dogma of the catholic church. |

4 | Foot washing are still applicable today? | NT general | jlpangilinan | 243739
Perhaps during that time this actions is applicable, as we can read in the Bible, Christ with his Disciple done a lot of walking to preach the Gospel. Nowadays, preacher has Royce, Force, Ferrari, and sometimes has a private Jet, walking in red carpet with their luxurious shoes, for example the sandals/shoes of the popes are highly decorated with gold, no need for foot washing necessary. |

5 | The Angel of the Lord Protect Believer | Job | jlpangilinan | 239665
Why God did not protect abel or cannot protect abel from cain? Genesis 4:8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. Why God did not protect abel or cannot protect abel form cain? According to this verse? Psalms 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. If you read the genesis there is no any angel to protect abel from cain... if is it so how God can protect mankind (billions in number) if He cannot protect abel from his brother? considering that at that time there are only 4 person existed Adam, Eve, Cain, and Abel... Please answer with back up scriptures... Thanks. |

8 | Why the world condemned itler for doing | Not Specified | jlpangilinan | 237617
When we read these verses, it seems that it is okay for Israel to destroy any country nation exterminate them whatever they like... Why when Hitler tried to do the same things to Israel/jews the world condemned Him and name him the greatest criminal, the anti christ whatever named they wanted to call Him. De 12:2 Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree: De 20:17 But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee: Jos 11:20 For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as the LORD commanded Moses. Jg 21:11 And this is the thing that ye shall do, Ye shall utterly destroy every male, and every woman that hath lain by man. 1Sa 15:3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. 1Sa 15:9 But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly. |

Lu 9:27 But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God. What I am referring to is to those which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God, not to those "taste" death... I hope I am clear... |

13 | Is Cain Exempted in Hell | Genesis | jlpangilinan | 235763
Did you understand the question my friend? if not leave it there ok. In the new testament Jesus Christ had a teaching of eternal life and eternal damnation... Mt 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. My question there is no where in the conversation of adam or eve or cain that God directly tell them what happen to thier soul after death... Ge 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. Again I am not interested on speculation or answers without backing up scriptures... Thanks... |

15 | Are they still alive | Bible general Archive 4 | jlpangilinan | 235758
Again my friend it is not History of the Bible I want to ask... Giving any kind of translations can you please answer if they are still alive or dead? are they existed until the second coming fulfilled? Mt 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. Mr 9:1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power. Lu 9:27 But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God. |

16 | Murder Ok for Israel | Bible general Archive 4 | jlpangilinan | 235757
I dont care about the translations my friend if you can see the weight of my question really is not about for word "kill" or "murder". What I am asking is how come the loving righteous God commanded Israel not to "murder" each other and gave the command to "murder" infants and women? it seems that it is ok to murder or kill others if you are Israelites as long as you dont kill your own countrymen.? 1Sa 15:3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. |

17 | Is Cain Exempted in Hell | Genesis | jlpangilinan | 235756
No, God did specifically tell them that they will going to hell for eternal damnation nor going to heaven for eternal life. Ge 2:16 ¶ And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: Ge 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. God did not mentioned to Adam that his soul will go to hell or heaven, what God said to adam was: Ge 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. did God mentioned eternal life in there? did God mentioned any piece of eternal fire in there? Simply None... |

18 | law,ordinances ,statutes and judgments | Bible general Archive 4 | jlpangilinan | 235735
we are not under the law of moses or the 10 commandments... because the law of moses cannot justified us. Ac 13:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. Jesus Christ clearly taught that the 10 commandments or the law of Moses is not applicable to Christian. Mt 5:21 ¶ Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: Mt 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. in the time of Moses person has to kill before he transgress the law of "thou shall not kill" or the 10 commandments. in Christ teaching whosoever call his brethren "raca" shall be in danger of fire... aside from that under the 10 commandments there should be enough witnesses before you can condemn someone of transgressions. De 17:6 At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death. under the teaching of Christ it is between you and God. For example the commandments of adultery in the old testament it has to be committed before you can be condemn of transgressions of the law. under the teaching of Christ person can be committed adultery even in the lust of the eye... Mt 5:27 ¶ Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: Mt 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. no need for witnesses... again it is between you and God. Jesus Christ gave us the 2 new commandments: Mr 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. Mr 12:31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. Now let me ask you some questions... what is it in the 10 commandments that is not included in these 2 new commandments if we follow the new? Thank you... |

19 | Are they the same God | Not Specified | jlpangilinan | 235728
The new testament mention of a Loving God, while the Old Testament mention different. Are they the same God New Testament: 1Jo 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. The Old Testament: De 32:39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. The same God that has a commandment that: De 5:17 Thou shalt not kill. are He the same God that gave command to kill even an infant? 1Sa 15:3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. If God is love and righteous how come that He command the Israel thou shalt not Kill and the same time give also the command to kill even women and infants? Is He only referring to Israel not to kill each other and they are free to kill others outside the Israel even infants? |
