2 | is the bible the inerrent word of God? | Bible general Archive 1 | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26257
Emphatically, YES!!!! Can you ever blame a pencil for what was printed on the paper? Either you believe and are counted among the sheep or find lame excuses not to and be counted among the goats. This is war, no middle ground. Either believe in your commander in chief or get your asbestos suit ready. |

3 | How did Nephilims come into existance? | Bible general Archive 1 | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26264
There's a statue in the Museum of Natural History in Washington DC titled something like And the sons of man had relations with them. I believe this scripture leads me to believe that Satans fallen angels had relations with mortal women. Now I've never heard of an angel that was short. So I would think that offspring of fallen angels would also be big bruisers.
4 | How big is heaven? | Bible general Archive 1 | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26267
How big is your imagination? :-D
5 | To those of you talking about Tongues. | Bible general Archive 1 | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26285
There's nothing to be afraid of. It perfect prayer that is communication between the Holy Spirit that resides inside of you and God. It's perfect because our flesh, and Satan, can't interpret it, pervert it, manipulate it. I've heard many times Christians feel the need to pray but don't know what to pray for, so they pray in the spirit. I like the analogy of World War II, when the US radio signals were being heard by the enemy. Navaho indians were trained and placed on both ends of the line. The Germans, not knowing Navaho, couldn't interpret and lost the advantage. It's the same with what I call my prayer language, the flesh can't mess with it. The Bible says that it builds up your spirit when you use it regularly.
6 | Why did God become a Man? | NT general Archive 1 | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26259
Adam had all rights, power to control this earthly realm. In laymans terms, he was the god of this earth. He gave all power and rights to Satan. God no longer had any rights to anything in this world. He had to find someone who would enter a blood covenant relationship with Him, allowing Him legal rights to enter back into the earth in order to get the rights, powers back from this maverick spirit, who stole them. But there was one problem, the price of sin was death. Who was going to pay that price? God found a believing recipient in Mary. Interesting sidline: Blood of a fetus DOES NOT COME FROM THE MOTHER. Only the fathers seed can create the blood in a fetus. Since this blood did not come from the seed of a man, their was no curse passed on. This way, a sinless source of sacrificial blood was provided to pay that price and defeat the maverick spirit at his own game.
7 | Proof that JC is the Messiah to Jews' | NT general Archive 1 | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26270
There's physical proof. Confirm with a Doctor that knows how to do more than count his bucks. The blood that is in a growing fetus does not come from the mother, nor can it come from her. It can only be created by the seed from the father. This should be proof enough that Jesus' blood could have only come from one source, given that she was a virgin at the time of Jesus' birth. That source would be the father of Jesus, which is God, as the only possible source of the created blood in Jesus.
8 | When does forgiveness occur? | NT general Archive 1 | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26295
Without repentance, there can be no forgivness. 2nd question: I can feel the need to stop stealing but if I don't repent and actually stop stealing, there would be no reason to forgive me. What divides many churches is the sins that so easily beset us. If all would be dead to self, humble, reading, meditating, praying over the Bible daily there would be unity in the body. |

9 | displaying things of jesus | Ex 20:4 | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26819
On many occaisions, when your giving glory to God, Satan, in some form will try to convince you to stop. That's when you need to stand your ground, in the spirit of peace and love, but stand your ground. God inhabits the praises of His people and that same praise is one of our weapons. The old red suit redneck doesn't like people knowing that one bit. I disagree with the comments of Exodus 20:4 as related to a picture or necklace. I have a picture of my wife, but I've never been caught worshipping the picture or my wife. A lot of respect, love, etc, but not worship. We usually have pics of people we love. Keep it simple. That's why Jesus instructs us to come unto Him as a child, who would keep it simple.
10 | Faith in Jesus prevails over the Law. | Ex 20:4 | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26821
I agree with a lot except for one little bit. The non-Christians Israelites don't have to stay under the law, just as you or I don't HAVE to drive around with a flat tire. We can still do it, but we don't have to.
11 | How do we lift up Christ for healing? | Ex 20:4 | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26825
Hope this helps. I have a personal friend who was 37 hours from death with Lupis, a usual one way street. She decided to start standing on the promises of the Bible concerning healing. An example is by His stripes we were healed. Jesus took all our infirmities and diseases onto the cross and nailed them there when He became a curse for us. Our confession is what determines what our environment becomes. Say things that disagree with the word of God and the principle of two being in agreement will make your confession come to pass. Who would agree with your negative confession? Satan in a New York second. That same lady is traveling around the country today preaching on the power of confessing and agreeing with the word of God. It took her a year to totally defeat the Lupis disease, but using the power that Jesus provided for us in His word, she did defeat it. That same power is available to all, but the lack of faith and the probability that most people don't have any idea what kind of power they have available under the blood covenant they entered into when they gave their lives to Jesus. They probably don't even know they entered into a blood covenant relationship. You ought to do a study on that.
12 | HOW DID GOD WARN THE ISRAELITES | Ex 20:4 | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26826
From what I've learned, God usually talked through prophets. Their 40 years in the wilderness shows the typical response God recieved from His children.
13 | displaying things of jesus | Ex 20:4 | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26829
I think the fact that early followers did not have the kind of access we have today. We are allowed into the Holy of Holies. In those days only one man per year was allowed into this most precious of relationships with God. I really don't think their is a problem with most Christians. I do have a problem with the Catholics praying to the mother Mary. I'm not Catholic, but if they do in fact go to the image of Mary and petition her image to act as an intermediary, which is the job of Jesus, then I think there might be an example of modern day transgression of God's will in this area. She did not do anything in our place that results in our freedom from sin.
14 | displaying things of jesus | Ex 20:4 | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26832
If Waldo is right about their thinking concerning the second commandmant, then that might be an example of retreating back to the following of the law and away from the path of faith and grace.
15 | 1 chronicles 4;10 | 1 Chr 4:10 | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26262
The word of God is permanent, period. The Bible calls the things of this world temporal. Which means they can be changed. You speak the permanent word of God into that temporal circumstance you find yourself and, Not doubting in your heart but believing that what you pray and ask for, believing you have recieved shall be granted. One catch, next verse,in my words. When praying, if you have ought against your brother forgive him or your prayer won't be answered. Bunches of Christians pray like crazy, ignoring that part and wonder why their beating their heads against the wall.
16 | beating your child with a rod | Prov 23:13 | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26273
Sounds like they're following the verse and not meditating on the meaning of it. I get that if you spare the rod you will spoil the child. I wouldn't take it literally by going to a hardware store and buying a 1/2 inch rod of steel and start wailing on the disobediant child, but I bet some people come close to that. I would use that scripture to indicate that when God's wisdom in you determines that correction is necessary and the spirit of rebellion is evident, deliberate, nonangry, physical correction, will drive those demons far from that rebious child. Christian bookstores have a book called Parenting is not for cowards, which goes into depth on this principle. Can't remember the author. I remember one funny saying. "When that 3 year old draws a line in the sand and looks up at you and dares you to step across it for a fight, don't dissapoint him"
17 | beating your child with a rod | Prov 23:13 | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26431
I'm in total agreement with you hank. I was subject to a fair share of that verbal abuse growing up. Sounds like your children aren't going to turn out too bad :-) I steered my recipient to the "Parenting is not for cowards" book, written by Dr. James Dobson. One of several books on raising children. I think the book could provide a lot more help than I could provide.
18 | How am I expected to be perfect? | Matt 5:48 | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26280
Your not. You are hidden in Christ, who became our righteousness. Read Romans, the whole book. It shows the He became a curse for us that we might become the righteousness of God IN CHRIST. If you are in Christ then Christ, living inside of you has hidden you in His precious blood and God only sees the righteousness of Christ in you. But as you read, speak to every circumstance, meditate on the word of God, your mind will be washed and you will be transformed by the renewing of your mind and achieve the mind of Christ. Note: Be careful what you say. Two in aggrement...Say something negative and Satan will agree with you in a New York second, the book didn't say what two. Only speak things that God would agree with. What did Paul say? I live nevertheless, not I but Christ who lives in me. Relax, and rest on Jesus to be perfect, constantly praying, seeking, reading, meditating, intervening for others, uplifting, edifying. That should keep you off the streets and out of trouble. :-D |

19 | Is God Right Handed? | Matt 22:44 | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26291
No, He's left handed, because He's in His right mind. All joking aside. He used the spoken word to create. He tells us to use His permanent word to speak in aggreement with His word to those mountainous problems and command them to take a hike.
20 | the voice of god | John 10:3 | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26290
My sheep know my voice, the Bible states. The voice in question, is it glorifying God or the speaker? Is it agreeing with God's word? Is it 100 percent accurate? Any of these a no? Walk not in the council of the ungodly. The ungodly are litterally owned by Satan to do his will at his leisure. So be very careful who you take advice from. If you read, meditate, pray every day, you will learn the sound of your shepherd.
