Hi Mark, Is this the concept you are trying to express? 1 Cor. 13 The Excellence of Love 1 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing. 4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part; 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away. 11 When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. 13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love. We know that every good and perfect gift comes from God (James 1:17); Perfect love casts out all fear (I John 4:18); Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. (Col. 3:14) and "We love, because He first loved us." according to I John 4:19. Since the greatest commandments are Love God...and love your neighbor as Jesus expressed in Matt. 22:36-40, I can see your point. Matt. 22:36-40 36"Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?" 37And He said to him, " 'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.' 38"This is the great and foremost commandment. 39"The second is like it, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' 40"On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets." It helps to have some scripture to back up your statements. :-) Also, knowing what the Bible says helps us know why we believe what we believe. Yours in Jesus Christ, Bows44 |

2 | srry i dont see the blue letter | Bible general Archive 3 | Bows44 | 159305
Hi Makarios, This was actually a duplicate post. Lil Kea13 was not referring to a blue lettered Bible. Lil Kea13 is trying to figure out how to look at someone's forum profile. Apparantly, I am having a hard time explaining it to Lil Kea13. I meant to respond to this post as being a duplicate, but my computer crashed, then I had to cook dinner, mow the lawn, and have family time. So I just got back to the forum. :-) Maybe if my last post is unsuccessful at communicating to Lil Kea13 how to look at someone's profile, you can give it a shot? Blessings, Bows44 |

Hi Mark, Where in this discussion do you think Jude 1:6 and 2 Peter 2:4 falls? Are the fallen angels currently bound or roaming the earth with Satan causing trouble or restricted to the second heaven blocking answers to prayers? (Dan. 10:13) Who is the Prince of Persia referred to in Dan.? A fallen Angel? Are all fallen angels bound or only ones that sinned through taking on human form and having sexual relations with humans? If bound, how could they possess anyone or rule over areas? What are unclean spirits if not fallen angels? I am not stating a personal belief in these questions. Just asking some questions for clarity and understanding. Love in Christ, Bows44 |

Dear Kalos, You are quite welcome. I hope my note inspires many (especially teenagers) to get this CD and learn how to keep their vessels and honor others. 2 Timothy 2:19-21 Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness." Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and some to honor and some to dishonor. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. Have a blessed day, Bows44 |

5 | Genesis 3:6 do you know what does it mea | Gen 3:6 | Bows44 | 159363
Hi BradK, I believe all scripture has some application to us today. This one I see as not only explaining how sin entered the world, but is a lesson to us on lust and pride leading to sin. saw that the tree was good for food...lust of the flesh it was a delight to the eyes...lust of the eye desirable to make one wise...pride of life The following scripture also speaks to this: 1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. So when we lust after something not meant for us and/or have pride it will be with us as with Eve. We will eat the fruit of disobedience and will encourage others to do so as well. This will open the door in our lives to many undesirable things lest we repent quickly. Just my point of view. :-) Blessings, Bows44 |

7 | The meaning of the word Akador | Deut 13:3 | Bows44 | 157442
Hi BradK, Your response seems to be saying that God can't speak to people through dreams anymore and when he did they were subjective, silly experiences. This smacks of blasphemy. God can do anything he wants and what he does is always right. So if He can and wants to, God will speak through dreams. I agree we need to test the spirits to see whether they be from come God, but the pass or fail is not based on one's opinion, but on scripture. All I did was answer the man's question and supply scriptural basis for action. The action he is to take is not based on a dream, but on scripture. The point is obeying scripture. If he needs a dream to encourage him to do that, who are you to judge the weakness of this brother and the method God chooses to use to guide him to obedience? Speaking the truth in love, Bows44 |

8 | The meaning of the word Akador | Deut 13:3 | Bows44 | 157448
Well, that was the point of my post...go read the Bible and obey it - based on his questions regarding a sinful relationship. I was trying to say it in a way he could recieve it. When you are ugly to a peson they can't recieve what you say very well. You all jumped on something you didn't like and threw the baby out with the bath water so to speak. You didn't bother to try and clarify the point, but got ugly. If you expect me to stick to forum rules then explain the one I am violating [politely] so I have a clear understanding of where you are coming from. There was no need to file abuse charges with Lockman and get the posts deleted. Maybe I should have separated the posts to avoid confusion, but my computer is working slow right now and it was easier to combine them. I think we can all agree that the right thing to do is read the Bible and obey God. This I do and teach others to do as well. Bows44 |

9 | Who buried Moses? | Deut 34:5 | Bows44 | 161560
Hi BradK, You stated: Scripture doesn't say specifically who buried Moses. Then you quoted Deut. 34:5-8. Doesn't the following statement from this passage say God buried Moses? Don't you believe the "He" in this scripture is referring to God? "And He buried him in the valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth-peor; but no man knows his burial place to this day." Bows44 |

Greetings Makarios and Avonregal, Then there was Elijah who out ran a chariot. 1 Kings 18:44-46 44 The seventh time the servant reported, "A cloud as small as a man's hand is rising from the sea." So Elijah said, "Go and tell Ahab, 'Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.' " 45 Meanwhile, the sky grew black with clouds, the wind rose, a heavy rain came on and Ahab rode off to Jezreel. 46 The power of the LORD came upon Elijah and, tucking his cloak into his belt, he ran ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel. 12 | Pride is a good thing! Or is it? | Prov 23:7 | Bows44 | 153432
Dear Humbled, I would like to add my recommendation to Mommapbs. This book has been used in our church for several years. It is indeed biblically based. Not only have I read the book, but I have also gone through the workbook. It is all about getting over your issues because it isn't really about you, it is about Jesus. We were created by Him for Him. [Col. 1:16] We are hear to show forth the praises of God, [I Pet. 2:9] bring Glory to Jesus [2 Thess. 1:12] and advance His kingdom in the earth. [Mark 16:15] If we are all hung up on our own issues, we aren't going to be very effective. This book is one tool to help people refocus on what's important and work through those issues that are keeping them from fulfilling their purpose. If this book helps you in building your relationship with Jesus and fulfilling the purpose he created YOU for, then it is a good book. If it doesn't, then it isn't. But you will only know by checking it out for yourself. What works for one may not work for another. Hope this helps. Bows44 |

13 | At what moment do we go to heaven? | Eccl 12:7 | Bows44 | 155638
Dear Doc, Whether you like it or not people have experiences. Those experiences make up a large part of who each of us are. I have read your background and understand why you believe the way you do. However, that is not a license to disregard the experiences of others just because they don't line up with your personal belief system, especially when they are scriptural. Can you show me scripturally that experiences count for nothing? 1 Per 3:15 but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence The people this was originally written to did not have "THE Bible" as we have it today. What were they supposed to use to give an account for the hope that was in them except their personal experiences of the power of God in their lives. Many people today don't accept the Bible as the word of God or don't even believe in God until someone shares with them in love personal experiences. Then they realize that God is real and cares about people. I have won several to the Lord by sharing personal experiences with them. Rev. 12:11 "And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death. So I will continue to share my experiences with others if it encourages them in the Lord or helps them come to Jesus. Also, sharing my personal experiences of God's love, power, kindness, mercy, awesomeness, etc. brings honor and glory to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To a lost and dying world who is hungry for a God of the here and now, personal experiences are the life line they need. Speaking the truth in love... Bows44 |

14 | At what moment do we go to heaven? | Eccl 12:7 | Bows44 | 155653
Dear WOS, I did not choose my son and husband over Christ. I am my beloveds and he is mine still and always. I chose to stay and finish the job He gave me to do. (Some days when my son is being especially difficult, I wish I had chose differently. :-D) But as you say, God is sovereign and it was He who decided to give me the choice and I chose what I chose. Without knowing my history, who I am, and what I went through you may not be able to understand why I had this experience and made the choice that I did. But, Jesus was happy with my response and honored it, so that is what counts. I am a God pleaser not a man pleaser. As some have pointed out, this is not an experience study forum. If you are truly interested in knowing more (not looking for opportunities to slam it) then I will be happy to discuss it further via personal email. My email is in my profile. Yours in Christ, Bows44 |

15 | At what moment do we go to heaven? | Eccl 12:7 | Bows44 | 155654
Dear Kalos, I am not questioning the scriptural validity of near death experiences. I was questioning the validity of a doctrinal position that does not allow for the sharing of personal experiences. I believe that the scriptures noted previously as well as 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 support the validity of sharing personal experiences and testimonies. 2 Cor. 1:3-5 3(A)Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and (B)God of all comfort, 4who (C)comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 5For just (D)as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ. We must always remember that the original recipients of these letters DID NOT have THE Bible as we have it today. Reading in context also means reading with the understanding of who, when, why, how etc. something is being said. Then applying it to our lives today. Why not say as Paul did in Phil 1:16-18 16the latter do it out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel; 17the former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition rather than from pure motives, thinking to cause me distress in my imprisonment. 18What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice. Yes, and I will rejoice Have a blessed day... Bows44 |

16 | At what moment do we go to heaven? | Eccl 12:7 | Bows44 | 155722
Hi Mark (and others,) I am not placing experience higher than scripture, I am supplimenting scripture with my experiences. The original post that started this long thread had both scriptures and my experience. I was stating what I believed based on those two things together. If others believe otherwise and wish to share what they believe and why, then they can and do. This is what this forum is all about..sharing what we belive based on scriptures and whether some want to admit it or not experiences. Our experiences have a large bearing on what we choose to believe or not. This is a fact. Mark...as for not being able to discern valid experiences or not, the Bible says: Matthew 7:16-18 "You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? "So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. "A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. If you could take the time to get to know me personnally, you would find that I am passionately in love with Jesus and serve Him with all of my heart. I can pass the test that someone else out lined...I declare Jesus as Lord and Savior, born of a virgin, crucified dead and buried and risen again. I have confessed with my mouth the Lord Jesus with faith in my heart, been water baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit and am therefore born again. You would find that I am a good tree bearing good fruit, therefore I can not according to this scripture bear bad fruit. The fruit of my experience is Christ honoring and therefore good fruit. Testifying falsely would be bad fruit. Satan would not give an experience that honored Jesus. So based on these facts, you should be able to know that the experience is valid. I also hope that somewhere in my words someone can find help and encouragement and a closer walk with Jesus. I hope people can look beyond the semantics to the heart of the matter which is to share, encourage and grow. Your Sister in Christ, Bows44 |

Hi Lil Kea13, Glad to hear that. Do you have a Bible? If not there are many online Bibles. I would recommend you read the Bible and when you come across something you don't understand, then ask for clarification. I wouldn't rely on others to tell me about the Bible. It is important for us to read it for ourselves. Also, it would be nice to know a little more about you. By clicking on your screen name you can update your user profile with anything you wish to share. Bless you as you grow in the Lord. Bows44 |

Hi Starfire, Menstrual blood can be infected and infectious if the lady in question has an STD. As for being clean or unclean, I'll have to study it some more, but basically my understanding is that one who is unclean could contain germs and these laws were for the protection of the nation. God knew all about what causes sickness way before man discovered bacteria and viruses. Believe me, God has nothing against women. He loves us ladies! :-) If you want to discuss this topic further in a more private setting, feel free to contact me at kabuchitama@yahoo.com. Hope this helps, Bows44 |

19 | Are menstrual cloths disgusting to God?? | Is 64:6 | Bows44 | 159066
Dear Starfire, I am glad that my thoughts have helped you and your willingness to discuss this issue openly for the benefit of others. As Mark pointed out, Eve had probably not had children yet, but if there had been no sin things would have been easier. I know a few women today who claim that based on Gal 3:13 they have been redeemed from the curse and have very little pain in bearing children. Also, no menstrual cramps or PMS, and some ladies I know have had no menopausal symptoms either by claiming this promise. So maybe that is a glimpse of womanhood without the curse? God bless you sister, Bows44 |

20 | True or False study question | Matt 26:28 | Bows44 | 165783
Hi Mark, I was leaning towards true, but when the word everyone's was emphasized it kind of threw me off. I was thinking. "Is this a trick question?" But as you point out the truth is that he died for all and all we have to do is believe. So I will answer true and if they say it is false, then we (them and I) will have to have a discussion on what the Bible really teaches. :-) Thanks and God bless, Bows44 |
