1 | Kairos vs. Chronos | Eph 6:18 | Hecameforu | 34902
Hi Verne Not to be funny but it seems like you're not at all confused. You're right on track in your definitions. In a book I'm reading called "Intercessory Prayer" by Dutch Sheets, he says concerning this verse " Ephesians 6:18, the context of which is spiritual warfare, says that we are to 'be on the alert...for all the saints' and 'pray at all (kairos) times in the Spirit.' He is not telling us here to pray all the time, which would be chronos, but to pray at all strategic times (kairos). In other words, we are in a war and if we are alert, He will warn us of well-timed attacks (kairos) of the enemy, so we can create a boundary (paga) of protection by praying. Related verse is 1 Peter 5:8 Chronos is time in general Kairos is the strategic or "right time; the opportune point of time at which something should be done" A window of opportunity would be a kairos time. A well-timed attack in war would be a kairos time. When someone is in danger or about to be attacked by Satan, that is a kairos time. The time it is right now as you read would be chronos time. 2 | In Heaven a-way from pain | 2 Cor 5:8 | Hecameforu | 34866
Hi Grace, I'm truly sorry for the loss of your mom. She is definitely with Jesus. Our family lost a brother, a cousin and my sister lost her husband all within a year and a half and although it's not a parent I kind of know what you're going through. She is in a far better place though, as Paul says in Philippians 1:23 "But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better;" A good question is whether or not she can see down here. I'm not so sure about that. If I can explain this well. There is complete joy in Heaven in the presence of our Lord and there is no sorrow but there is plenty of sorrow on this earth so once we're in Heaven I don't think we'll be able to see down here becuase it would be a kind of turmoil to be in such joy and see our loved ones down here. This is just my opinion. Isaiah 11:10 says that "his resting place will be glorious" Hope this helps some Barry |

3 | Rev 3:16 lukewarm | Rev 3:16 | Hecameforu | 34784
Hi zach†This is, I believe, talking about churches, not individuals. He will spew the church out of his mouth, disband everyone and send them off to other churches. Jesus does not spew single Christian out of his mouth. Eternal life means just that, Eternal. There is "neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" Amen. This Church is neither excited for, nor antagonistic towards the Lord. The chief minister is answerable for his flock if he have not faithfully warned the members of it. JFB Love in Christ Barry |

4 | what is meant by work out your own salva | Philippians | Hecameforu | 34462
Hello mommyolen, There are many verses in the word that point to how we should "work out our own salvation" or how to live after we are saved. Benjamite pointed out the correct passage in Phillipians that seems to be what you were referring to, but if you read on further in that chapter, it's partly explained. Phil 2 13) "for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. 14) Do all things without grumbling or disputing; 15) so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world, 16) holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain. Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. Give youself completely to Jesus, study, and meditate on the word. Now that we're saved, it's what we do with that great gift. Titus 3:8 This is a trustworthy statement; and concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God will be careful to engage in good deeds. These things are good and profitable for men Love in Christ Barry |

7 | New Testament...God speaks to anyone | Rom 16:25 | Hecameforu | 34094
Hi there, Paul was not in a trance nor was it just a vision or a dream when the Lord appeard to him on the road to Damascus. The light was the Glory of the Lord and the others saw it too. Acts 26 13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me. 14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. 15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. 16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; 17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, 18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. 8 | Who is Jesues | NT general Archive 1 | Hecameforu | 34074
Hello Flipside, John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life". I know there are people in this world who have never heard of Jesus, or don't understand who Jesus is but if one is Truly seeking out who Jesus is then one will find it. Jesus is the only way one gets to Heaven. The only one who can forgive our sins. Jesus is the one you have to believe in. Jesus died on the cross so that we might have life, He is God's sacrificial Lamb for us. Man betrayed God. In order to be reconciled to God: God becomes man, which is Jesus, who laid down his life, shed his blood, was tortured and ridiculed, endured all our sins, died on the cross, rose triumphantly from the grave so that if we believe in him we would have everlasting life. Is that Love or what? He is the one that was prophesied of, all through the Old Testament as in Isaiah 53. Yes, Jesus is the Son of God. He is also the Word, the light, the Lamb of God, the Messiah, the King of Israel, and the Son of Man. Jesus is our Redeemer, our Peace, our Hope, Jesus is OUR SAVIOUR. And, Jesus is much, much more than what I've written here. Jesus Loves YOU!! Barry |

9 | how credible r we if theres no rapture | Bible general Archive 1 | Hecameforu | 34026
Greetings Ms. Tish I don't see how anyone that knows about the tribulation would actually actively think that. Who would want to go through it? I don't normally talk about "what if's" and I can't speak for others but... As a Christian, if I had to go through the tribulation then so be it. I know my Jesus is coming back for me, I know that he will never leave me nor forsaek me and there's nothing in the world that can shake my faith or change my mind. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. When interpreting the Bible, one may be off on some points here and there, but it really doesn't matter. The main thing is, Jesus died for our sins, rose again on the 3rd day, is seated at the right hand of the throne of God and is coming back for us. Believe and trust in that. Love in Christ Barry |

10 | Does that site address Rev. 6:16-17? | Bible general Archive 1 | Hecameforu | 33960
Hi Benjamite, I don't know about that site. Without much reading I would not be able to answer that. From my studies, the Church will not go through the Tribulation. The word "Church"(which is the body of Christ) is not used after Rev. 3:22 until 22:16. The start of Rev 4 really signifies the rapture....In verse 1 John heard a "voice as it were a trumpet....which said, Come up hither". This corresponds with 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord". This is not the "coming in power and great glory" that will happen after the 7 year Tribulation. Verse 2, "and immediately I was in the Spirit". This is what will happen when the Lord comes back as a thief in the night. He will come back for us the same way he left. Very quietly with only believers knowing. Notice in Acts 1:10 "And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel" 11)"Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven" That is how I see the rapture. The Rapture cannot be Post Trib. "No man knoweth the hour". Our Lord can come at any time, at any second so to say that the rapture is after the Tribulation is saying that Jesus cannot come back today which is also saying that you know about when the Lord is coming back. With this thought, when the antichrist rises during the 7-year trib, a person can say, well a few more years before the Lord comes. Rev. 16:15 "Behold, I come as a thief". This shows that the Church (we Christians) will not on the earth at that time because the Thessalonian Christians were assured that that day would not overtake them as a thief as stated in 1Thes 5:4. Christians (the Church) are not in the darkness but in the light. We know that Jesus is coming back, it is our hope, and so we're always on the "lookout" if you will. Rev 16:15 is a final warning to those Tribulation Saints to stay vigilant, stay awake, do not be swayed, stay away from Satan-inspired activities of those last days. God Bless Barry |

12 | What do you mean...? | Col 3:18 | Hecameforu | 33469
Hi Clay, It simply means that instead of rehashing out a subject(so things don't get out of hand)which both people obviously don't see eye to eye on, then they will (agree) come to a conclusion that they will not (disagree) see things the same way on that particular subject therefore ending the discussion. Hope this helps Love in Christ! Barry |

Hello there.... Depends on what translation you want. On the right side of the window you will see a place where you can search for word(s). Of course you only have the option of 2 versions. The Bible Gateway is a good place to find this out. http://bible.gospelcom.net/ As I said, it all depends on the translation. For instance the word "obey".... 16 | Re: Position Truths | Eph 1:3 | Hecameforu | 32709
Hello La Mirl, If you read further on in this chapte, down to say verse 13, you will see the blessings that Paul is talking about. In short we have been: Chosen in verse 4, predestined in verse 5, acceptance with God through Jesus in verse 6, Remission of sins, and redemption through the blood of Jesus in verse 7, the riches of His grace, which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight in verse 8, made known to us the mystery of his will in verse 9, the summing up of all things in Christ in verse 10, Also obtained an inheritance(heaven) in verse 11, sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise in verse 13 These are the spiritual blessings he's talking about. Study, pray, and meditate on those verses and always remember, it's all for the Glory of God. Love in Christ!! Barry |

17 | Where is verse about man casts lot, but | Prov 16:1 | Hecameforu | 32496
Hi there, Not sure if any of these are what you're looking for. Proverbs 16:9 "The mind of man plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps:. Proverbs 20:24 "Man's steps are ordained by the LORD, How then can man understand his way". Jeremiah 10:23 "I know, O LORD, that a man's way is not in himself, Nor is it in a man who walks to direct his steps". Love in Christ! Barry |

18 | can u kill yourself an still get to heav | Ex 20:13 | Hecameforu | 32492
Hi Sonbeam, I do not know if your Step Mom is in Heaven. If she has accepted Jesus into her life as her personal saviour, I would say that she is. Now the taking of a life, even our own is wrong and is a sin but I don't believe God will put you in Hell for it. To God, a sin is a sin and if we break one law, we are guilty of breaking them all. God will forgive any sin except for the blaspheming of the Holy Spirit. Mark 3:28-29 "Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin". So now, we are not only bound to the commandments Jesus left us but as Christians we are bound by the laws of Man. For example: Let's say the speed limit is 55 and someone is driving down the highway doing 75, for whatever reason. It's breaking the law, and it is therefor a sin and if you're stopped by the police you'll most likely get a ticket. Now if Jesus came back at that moment that christian would be taken up in the clouds to be with Jesus forever. Killing yourself should never be an option though because God gives us all a way out, no matter what the problem is, as the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 10:13 and 2 Peter 2:9, we just need to call out to Jesus when we're hurting. Take care and God Bless!! Barry |

19 | Jesus went to Hell before Resurrection? | Matt 12:40 | Hecameforu | 32407
Hello Water Chief, Consider this..... Jesus was not in Hell for 3 days and nights but was laid in the tomb(heart of the earth)for 3 days and nights. Could it be that Jesus was in the depths of Hell while there was complete darkness for 3 hours? Matthew 27:45-46 "Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me"? In order to die a sinners death, Jesus had all sin cast upon him, this was done while he was on the cross and during those 3 dark hours is when he went down to hell to defeat death. Now this was no doubt a darkness much more than an eclipse could put out, one in which a person couldn't see his hand directly in front of him. Notice too how Jesus said that he thirsted after those 3 hours. One really doesn't thirst unless it's hot out and if there was complete darkness, then it was most likely not hot outside. He thirsted because he was in Hell. He cried out " My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me" because God could not look upon his son while he was made to be sin and in Hell. Love in Christ! Barry |

20 | Why should we have what He borne? | Is 53:4 | Hecameforu | 32338
Hi Just, We have all these things because this is still a sin-filled world. We are still human and we still battle with the flesh daily. He carried our sorrows and bore our griefs but if and when sorrow or grief starts to enter our life, we have to turn it over to him and trust and have faith that the Lord will take care of this for us so that it doesn't eat us up. The same goes for everything. Jesus said "without me, ye can do nothing". 1 Peter 5:7 "casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you". Jesus wants us to turn everything in our lives over to him and he will sustain us through it all. When you do give it all to Jesus, then there's a peace that forms inside you from the knowledge that Jesus is in control and will take care of everything. Jesus never said that we would live a perfect, life but he did say that he came so that we would have life, and have it more abundantly. Phillipians 4:6-7 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 3:20 "Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us", John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful". Love in Christ! Barry |
