Jesus Christ told us all to "sin no more", Jn 5. This is most important. Jesus Christ told us all to seek first God's Kingdom and God's Righteousness, Mt 6:33. When we find what we were told to find, when what we find becomes more important to us than our reputations and even our physical life, then we will know who the wolves are and who the bad trees are and why, anne
2 | sarah and abraham children | Gen 11:30 | canawedding | 193363
Ge 11:30: And Sarai was barren. She had no child. Ge 15:2. And Abram said, O Lord Yahweh, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and he that shall be possessor of my house is Eliezer of Damascus? Ge 16:1: Now Sarai, Abram's wife, bare him no children. And she had a handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar. Ge 16:15: And Hagar bare Abram a son. And Abram called the name of his son, whom Hagar bare, Ishmael. Ge 17:15-16, 19: And God said unto Abraham, as for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. 16. And I will bless her, and moreover I will give thee a son of her. Yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations. Kings of peoples shall be of her ... 19. And God said, Nay, but Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son. And thou shalt call his name Isaac. And I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his seed after him. |

3 | pride and ego | Matt 16:24 | canawedding | 193174
Paul wrote in Ro 8:17 and elsewhere that true Christians will suffer with Jesus Christ because all true Christians will be persecuted. However, it all begins with Mt 6:33. First means first and what Jesus Christ said there has everything to do with His narrow Gate and His narrow Road that few will find.
4 | Does baptism show we're a follower? | Matt 28:19 | canawedding | 193812
After John the Baptist went to prison, Jesus Christ began His earthly Ministry, Mk 1:14-15. During His earthly Ministry, there were no physical water baptisms by His disciples. What was written in Jn 3:22-4:3 took place before John the Baptist went to prison and, therefore, before Jesus Christ's earthly Ministry began. Then, in Ac 8 and Ac 10, we read how the believing Jews had a temporary problem with non-Jews. What did Peter learn in Ac 11? Not to call unclean or common what God has made clean. How does God make us clean? Read Jn 15:1-17; 1Pe 1 for a couple of excellent examples. And, in Ac 11, instead of repeating his command to baptize Cornelius and household with physical water, what did Peter say instead? The following statement that Peter quoted is in the NT six times, 6 times: John the Baptist baptized with water but Jesus Christ will baptize with God's Holy Spirit, Mt 3; Mk 1; Lk 3; Jn 1; Ac 1; Ac 11. That is the baptism Paul always described, the spiritual one baptism we must spiritually drink according to 1Co 12:12-13 and Eph 4:4-7 also described in Mt 20; Mt 28:18-20; Mk 10; Mk 16; Lk 11-13; Lk 24; Jn 1-17; etc. In Ac 11, what did the believing Jews learn about salvation for non-Jews? Did they remember Mk 1:14-15? Also, read Ac 15 and Ac 18:24-19:10, very carefully. In Mt 28:19 we read about the Name. Read Rev 19. His Name is The Word of God. Jesus Christ said we must seek first God's Kingdom and God's Righteousness and this is what Paul and all of the other NT writers taught, Mt 6:33; Lk 11-12; Ro 1:16-21; etc. What we find can rescue us from the Law of Sin and Death, Ro 1-8. |

5 | Explain Mark 11 | Mark 11:1 | canawedding | 194016
Jesus Christ's glorious entry into Jerusalem was the fulfilment of OT prophecies, Ps 118; Zec 9:9. The fig tree symbolized Judaism with its Law of Sin and Death. What took place in the temple cleansing symbolizes what is to come for very similar reasons, also prophesied in Isa 66. At the future temple cleansing there will very likely be those who will question why they are in the goat line, Mt 25. It is very possible that they will also hear the same question about John the Baptist, Mk 11:27-33. Very few people have paid attention to what John the Baptist said and what took place during his ministry. He came to testify of that Light in Ps 118. Jn 1:6. There came a man, sent from God, whose name was John. 7. The same came for witness, that he might bear witness of the Light, that all might believe through him. 8. He was not the Light but came that he might bear witness of the Light. 9. There was the True Light, even the Light which lighteth every man, coming into the world. 10. He was in the world and the world was made through Him and the world knew Him not. 11. He came unto His own and they that were His own received Him not. 12. But as many as received Him, to them gave He the right to become Children of God, even to them that believe on His Name 13. who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man but of God. Read what Peter wrote in 1Pe 2:1-8 where he quoted from Ps 118 and Isa 28 for a very good reason. |

6 | John 14:26 | John 3:5 | canawedding | 193297
A person is not born again ("born from above" is another way to translate born again) without God's Holy Spirit baptism. Paul wrote about that baptism in Scriptures such as 1Co 12:12-13 and Eph 4:4-7. What "Water" is that in Jn 3:1-21? Is it the same "Water" of Jn 4:1-26? Is it the same "Water" of 1Jn 5? Is it the same "Water" of Rev 21-22?
7 | disciples only baptized not Jesus | John 3:26 | canawedding | 193768
Here is something to think about: Jn 20:21. Jesus, therefore, said to them again, "Peace be unto you. As the Father hath sent me, even so send I you." Did the Father ever send His Son to baptize with physical water?
8 | Martha and Mary | John 6:45 | canawedding | 193425
Lk 10: 38. Now as they went on their way, He entered into a certain village and a certain woman named Martha received Him into her house. [Be sure and read Jn 11 as well, paying close attention to Jn 11:25-27.] 39. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at the Lord's feet and heard His Word. 40. But Martha was cumbered about much serving and she came up to Him and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister did leave me to serve alone? Bid her, therefore, that she help me. 41. But the Lord answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art anxious and troubled about many things 42. but one thing is needful. For Mary hath chosen the good part which shall not be taken away from her. [Should this lesson remind us of Mt 6:33? Yes, it should. Are we also supposed to be like Mary and believe in Scripture such as Mt 23:8-12 and Jn 6:45? Read all of Lk 10-13 for other related critical Gospel Truths.] |

9 | I will pour out of My Spirit | Acts 2:17 | canawedding | 193178
You wrote "actively standing in faith". After John the Baptist went to prison, not before but after, Jesus Christ began His earthly Ministry. He commanded us all to repent and believe. Believe what, exactly? Have faith in what, exactly? Does His command in Mk 1:14-15 have anything to do with Mt 6:33? Yes, everything. There are many types of faith but in Eph 4:4-7, we read about one faith as well as one baptism and one body and One Spirit and One Lord and One God and Father of us all. In Ac 2, the 3000 believed what Peter declared through the Power of God's Holy Spirit, 1Pe 1:12 and because they believed, they sincerely repentent and the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved, Ac 2. How? Read Lk 24; Ac 1-2; 1Pe 1 very carefully.
10 | Ac 2:17 | Acts 2:17 | canawedding | 193361
Lk 24: 44. And He said unto them, These are my Words which I spake unto you while I was yet with you, that all things must needs be fulfilled which are written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms, concerning me. [Remember Mt 5:1-20.] 45. Then opened He their mind, that they might understand the Scriptures [And, that has not changed. Read Ps 119; Mt 23:8-12; Jn 6:45.] 46. and He said unto them, Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and rise again from the dead the third day 47. and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His Name unto all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. [Read 1Pe 1.] 48. Ye are witnesses of these things. 49. And behold, I send forth the Promise of my Father upon you but tarry ye in the city until ye be clothed with Power from on High. Ac 1: 4. and, being assembled together with them, He charged them not to depart from Jerusalem but to wait for the Promise of the Father, which, said He, ye heard from me. 5. For John indeed baptized with water but ye shall be baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days hence. [John the Baptist said the same Gospel Truth 4 times and Peter said it once as well in Ac 11 when he realized he had opposed God!] 8. But ye shall receive Power when the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judaea and Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the Earth. [Is this Power for all true Christians?] Ro 1: 16. For I am not ashamed of the Gospel; for it is the Power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth, to the Jew first and also to the Greek (non-Jews). [How do we receive this Power of God? Paul told everyone in Ro 1:16-21 in plain language and he was expounding Scripture such as Mt 6:33 and Mk 1:14-15. We must seek first and find first in order to find the narrow Gate that leads to the narrow Road that few will find, Mt 7.] Use a concordance and study how the words "Believe", "Faith", "Gift", "Repent", "Righteousness", "Obey", "Power", "Promise" and their variations are used in the entire NT. |

11 | Johns baptism? | Acts 13:24 | canawedding | 193771
Mt 3:3: For this is he that was spoken of through Isaiah the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, "Make ye ready the Way of the Lord, make His paths straight. How? He told people to bring forth fruit worthy of repentance and that has not changed. Also, Jn 1:6. There came a man, sent from God, whose name was John. 7. The same came for witness, that he might bear witness of the Light, that all might believe through him. 8. He was not the Light but came that he might bear witness of the Light. 9. There was the true Light, even the Light which lighteth every man, coming into the world. After Jesus Christ symbolically cleansed the physical temple the unbelieving Jews questioned His authority. Why did He ask them about John's baptism? Were the unbelieving Jews the only ones who hadn't believed what John the Baptist declared about Jesus Christ? |

12 | Romans 5:6-8 how it shows Gods love | Rom 5:6 | canawedding | 194013
I don't ever recall reading that God's Love is unconditional; it isn't. Read Ro 1-11 and especially notice: Ro 11:17. But if some of the branches were broken off and thou, being a wild olive, wast grafted in among them and didst become partaker with them of the root of the fatness of the olive tree, 18. glory not over the branches but if thou gloriest, it is not thou that bearest the root but the root thee. 19. Thou wilt say then, 'Branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.' 20. Well, by their unbelief they were broken off and thou standest by thy faith. [If you are indeed in God's "one faith" - the exact faith of Ro 1:16-21; Eph 4:4-7 that was written to expound the critical command in Mt 6:33.] Be not highminded but fear, 21. for, if God spared not the natural branches, neither will he spare thee. 22. Behold then, the goodness and severity of God: toward them that fell - severity but toward thee - God's goodness, if thou continue in His goodness, otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. 23. And they also, if they continue not in their unbelief, shall be grafted in. For God is able to graft them in again. Also, read Jn 15:1-17 for a very similar lesson. |

13 | IS BAPTISM IS REQUIRED | Rom 6:3 | canawedding | 193654
Read Ac 18:24-19:10 and especially notice Ac 19:2. There was only "one baptism" that Paul was ever concerned with and wrote about, Eph 4:4-7. In 1Co 12:12-13, he described that "one baptism" most clearly. Six times we read that John the Baptist baptized with water but Jesus Christ will baptize with God's Holy Spirit, Mt 3; Mk 1; Lk 3; Jn 1; Ac 1; Ac 11. The one New Covenant baptism is described in Mt 20; Mk 10; Lk 11-12; Jn 1-7 as well as many other Scriptures. Ro 5:1-5: Being, therefore, justified by Faith, we have Peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ through whom also we have had our access by Faith into this Grace wherein we stand and we rejoice in Hope of the Glory of God. And not only so but we also rejoice in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation worketh stedfastness and stedfastness, approvedness, and approvedness, hope. And hope putteth not to shame because the Love of God hath been shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Spirit which was given unto us. This is the baptism of Ro 1-8; etc. This is the baptism of God's Gospel -- His "Power from on High" that is "from Faith unto Faith", Lk 24; Ac 1:1-11; Ro 1:16-21; 2Co 12:9-10. It all begins when we seek first and find first as we were told to do in Mt 6:33. |

Have you ever studied the word "Power" in the full context of the NT Scriptures? The Samaritans of Ac 8 had believed in a false power that Simon Magus claimed to have. They did believe Philip and they were baptized with physical water before the believing Jews understood that non-Jews are saved in the same Way as believing Jews -- through repentance and faith that leads to obedience, Mk 1:14-15; Ac 11; Ac 15; etc. But, were they saved? NO! It seems that they had not repented of the false power they had believed in. There is only one baptism now, the baptism we must spiritually drink according to 1Co 12:12-13 and Eph 4:4-7. They were not saved until Peter and John came and prayed over them, laying hands on them, except for Simon Magus even though he had believed and had been baptized with physical water. Paul told Timothy not to be hasty in the laying on of hands, 1Ti 5:22. Why? Only God knows our hearts and minds. Only the LORD baptizes with His Holy Spirit, Ac 1:1-11; Ac 2:47. Without the one and only Holy Spirit baptism, we are not saved, Jn 3:1-21; Ro 8:1-17. And, that is not physical water in Jn 3; it is the very same Water of Jn 4; Jn 7; etc. Ro 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. But if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 2Co 13:5: Try your own selves, whether ye are in the faith. Prove your own selves. Or know ye not as to your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you, unless indeed ye be reprobate? |

18 | Can an unbaptised christian make Heaven | 1 Cor 12:13 | canawedding | 193097
Jesus Christ made it very clear that we must be born again or we will not enter into His Kingdom, Jn 3:1-21. Be sure to read Jn 3:1-21 in the full context of Jn 1-7. And, Peter clearly described how we are born again in 1Pe 1. Jesus Christ also said that unless our Righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, we will not enter into His Kingdom, Mt 5. How does that become possible? We must begin with Mt 6:33 and find first as Jesus Christ commanded all of us to do. Also, study the baptism Scriptures. Six times we read that John the Baptist baptized with water but Jesus Christ will baptize with God's Holy Spirit, Mt 3; Mk 1; Lk 3; Jn 1; Ac 1; Ac 11. That statement mentions 2 baptisms but Paul told us there is only one baptism now, the baptism we must spiritually drink, 1Co 12:12-13; Eph 4:4-7. And, read Ro 1-8 to see how we must leave the Law of Sin and Death to belong to the Law of the Spirit of Life. When we belong to the Law of the Spirit of Life, we have been born again and our Righteousness will exceed that of the scribes and Pharisees.
19 | Is anxietyand fear sinful? | Philippians | canawedding | 193298
Jesus Christ said: Mt 6:33-34: But seek ye first His Kingdom and His Righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. 34. Be not therefore anxious for the morrow, for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Paul wrote: Php 4:4-7: Rejoice in the Lord always, again I will say, Rejoice! 5. Let your forbearance be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 6. In nothing be anxious but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7. And the Peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. What Paul wrote was for those who do "rejoice in the Lord always". What Jesus Christ said was for those who would seek first as He told us to do. |
