Did Jesus prophesay in Matthew 24 that the events of the Great Tribulation would be fulfilled between 30 A.D and 70 A.D ? Reading Matthew 24 Mark 13 and Luke 21 this would seem that the GT has already taken place so where does this leave the church ?

11 | Matthew 19:16-30 please clarify? | Matt 19:29 | Ken John | 111390
Thanks Searcher56 for your answer. Having read the verses you quoted again, I see that this does not refer to salvation but to rewards. Is Scripture telling us that the position at the table depends upon one's rewards? That is, the more rewards the closer to Jesus? Or the more one gives up and becomes a servant, the closer to Jesus? Are we to be servants on earth as well as in the Kingdom? Jesus' disciples gave up everything (Matt 19:27) yet Jesus tells them they will "sit upon twelve thrones"(verse 28) which doesn't identify with being servants ? |

13 | Does God save children ? | Matt 18:5 | Ken John | 110632
In Matthew 18:5 Jesus is talking about children and the high value He places on them. Today there are so many children from broken homes who maybe don't know about salvation through Jesus. On the other hand there are those from good homes who don't get taught about Jesus Christ. Would these children be saved in God's Eyes? |

14 | Who was Adam and Eve's mother? | Matt 19:4 | Ken John | 110629
Greetings Rowdy, Thanks for your answer. I agree with what you have said that Moses wrote the first five books but under God's inspiration. So God was both father and mother to Adam and Eve ? However Jesus knew the position so why did He mention a father and a mother when, as I read this verse Matt 19:5, He was referring to marriage way back in the beginning? Am I reading into this more than there is? Or is Jesus telling us something we should know for life today? |

15 | For this cause shall a man leave father | Matt 19:4 | Ken John | 110615
God created Adam and Eve,a male and a female. My question relates more to Matthew 19:5"And said, for this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?"(KJV) Since neither Adam nor Eve at this time had a mother, why do you think God explained marriage this way? He must have had a good reason? |

16 | Is cremation right for believers? | Bible general Archive 2 | Ken John | 110161
Is it right for a Christian to be cremated? I have struggled with this one for some time. Pastors I have spoken to cannot agree on this matter as some say it is unscriptual for a believer to be cremated whilst others tell me it makes no difference. What does God's Word say?
17 | Why is there confusion? | 2 Tim 2:15 | Ken John | 109867
Greetings Makarios, I wish to refer back to this question of studying"dispensationally"that is,rightly dividing the scriptures(2 Tim 2:15)and what does it actually mean? You have given me an answer and I agree with what you have stated. However, since returning to this study website,I have noticed much confusion from many who are looking for guidance. Why is there this confusion? I am of the opinion that it is because they are not rightly dividing God's Word. In his write up "The Basics of Understanding the Bible" Matthew McGee states that the whole bible is written for us, for our learning, but not ALL of it is addressed to us. He also covers what it means to study dispensationally, rightly divide, God's Word. He has an interesting website which you may like to look at as I feel he makes good sense of this subject and has certainly cleared some of my confusion and it may help others too. www.matthewmcgee.org is worth a read. Yours in Christ, Ken John. |

19 | What is WWJD ? | Rom 1:15 | Ken John | 109368
Rowdy and Emmaus, thanks for your replies which I will study as "good works" is what I need to sort out in my head. Rowdy you make a good point and I know that my conscience works overtime. The flesh is always looking for praise instead of glorifying our God. I need a lot of prayer. By the way, what is WWJD? Blessings, KJ |

Ephesians 2:9-10 is where I need better understanding as verse 9 (KJV) reads "Not of works, lest any man should boast." However verse 10 tells us "unto good works" What does good works actually mean ? I would really like to get a clearer picture. KJ
