1 | Is cremation right for believers? | Bible general Archive 2 | Ken John | 110161
Is it right for a Christian to be cremated? I have struggled with this one for some time. Pastors I have spoken to cannot agree on this matter as some say it is unscriptual for a believer to be cremated whilst others tell me it makes no difference. What does God's Word say?

6 | The Transfiguration of Jesus ? | Matt 16:28 | Ken John | 109116
Hi Emmaus, Do you not believe that the humanity of Jesus was transfigured? The Transfiguration sets forth his perfect humanity. Moses represents the Law and Elijah was the representative of the prophets. In Peace, KJ
7 | Does God save children ? | Matt 18:5 | Ken John | 110632
In Matthew 18:5 Jesus is talking about children and the high value He places on them. Today there are so many children from broken homes who maybe don't know about salvation through Jesus. On the other hand there are those from good homes who don't get taught about Jesus Christ. Would these children be saved in God's Eyes? |

8 | For this cause shall a man leave father | Matt 19:4 | Ken John | 110615
God created Adam and Eve,a male and a female. My question relates more to Matthew 19:5"And said, for this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?"(KJV) Since neither Adam nor Eve at this time had a mother, why do you think God explained marriage this way? He must have had a good reason? |

9 | Who was Adam and Eve's mother? | Matt 19:4 | Ken John | 110629
Greetings Rowdy, Thanks for your answer. I agree with what you have said that Moses wrote the first five books but under God's inspiration. So God was both father and mother to Adam and Eve ? However Jesus knew the position so why did He mention a father and a mother when, as I read this verse Matt 19:5, He was referring to marriage way back in the beginning? Am I reading into this more than there is? Or is Jesus telling us something we should know for life today? |

10 | Matthew 19:24 is a puzzle for me ? | Matt 19:24 | Ken John | 108728
Matt 19:24 puzzles me as it would seem that the rich cannot enter "the Kingdom of God" so what must they do ? Jesus doesn't seem to condemn being wealth as long as one believes in Christ, not so ?
11 | How does Matthew 19:29-30 affect us ? | Matt 19:29 | Ken John | 111366

12 | Matthew 19:16-30 please clarify? | Matt 19:29 | Ken John | 111390
Thanks Searcher56 for your answer. Having read the verses you quoted again, I see that this does not refer to salvation but to rewards. Is Scripture telling us that the position at the table depends upon one's rewards? That is, the more rewards the closer to Jesus? Or the more one gives up and becomes a servant, the closer to Jesus? Are we to be servants on earth as well as in the Kingdom? Jesus' disciples gave up everything (Matt 19:27) yet Jesus tells them they will "sit upon twelve thrones"(verse 28) which doesn't identify with being servants ? |

14 | Has the Great Tribulation taken place ? | Matt 24:34 | Ken John | 115707
Did Jesus prophesay in Matthew 24 that the events of the Great Tribulation would be fulfilled between 30 A.D and 70 A.D ? Reading Matthew 24 Mark 13 and Luke 21 this would seem that the GT has already taken place so where does this leave the church ?
15 | Will the believer or non believer be go? | Matt 24:40 | Ken John | 55465
Who will be taken, thatis, the believer or the non believer in the case of these two verses 40 and 41 ?
16 | Believers or non-believers ? | Matt 24:40 | Ken John | 55468
Makarios, greetings ! I am new to this study programme so need to get used to the format and how to go about dealing with the questions. So am I correct in my understanding of these verses inthat the believers are taken (as was Noah in the Ark) and the non-believers will be left on earth to suffer the consequences of their unbelief ?? I have been told before that the non-believers will be taken to Hell leaving the believers to meet our Lord but this does not make sense to me...do you agree ? Ken John. |
