1 | Moabites forbidden and Ruth allowed?? | Deut 23:3 | skccab | 214559
Shalom y'all, I'm missing something here, so I need some help. Deut. 23:3 says that a Moabite will "never" enter into the assembly of God. Wasn't Ruth a Moabitess? How do we reconcile a Moabitess joining Israel (and becoming a part of the lineage of Jesus) to Deut. 23:3? What am I missing? Thanks in advance Cheri |

2 | Heavenly or Earthly Messengers? | Gen 32:1 | skccab | 213927
Shalom y'all, In Gen. 32:1, the "angels of God" - is the original word melech? Messengers? These are just "messengers" from Esau, right? They are not actual angels like the ones that approached Abram just before the destruction of Sodom and Gommorah, right? (I have that ISA Basic program but it's difficult to use sometimes, and this time it didn't give me the word I'm familiar with.) I'm just a little confused :o) Thanks for the help Cheri |

3 | Abraham and Abimelech | James 4:2 | skccab | 213116
Shalom y'all, I have a question, it's a "why" that pretty much calls for speculation but I would like to hear other's thoughts. In Gen. 20:7 God is telling Abimelech that Abraham will pray for him and his house to be healed. Why didn't God just go ahead and do this Himself at that time? Was he wanting somehow to exalt Abraham in the eyes of this king? Thanks to all Cheri |

4 | Trouble with Pronouns | Is 63:11 | skccab | 212934
Shalom y'all, I've been reading Isaiah and am at 63:11. I use the NKJV which capitalizes all pronouns referring to God. All the previous verses have the 'he' capitalized, then verse 11 says "Then he remembered the days of old, Moses and his people, saying, "Where is He who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of His flock?..." My question: is the 'he' who remembered mistakenly left lowercase? It sounds like it is speaking of He, God? Any help? Thanking you in advance Cheri |

6 | Prayer Request from My Family | Bible general Archive 4 | skccab | 212022
Shalom y'all, Please leave this up for a little while. My dear friend, Stanley, a diabetic for the last 37 years is really struggling with it now. Kidneys failing, 3 heart attacks this year, neuropathy, etc, but mostly it's a problem with his body absorbing (or not absorbing, I can't remember) his insulin from his pump 3 days each week. Everytime he changes sides for his pump every 3 days, if it goes to his left side, we pretty much know he's going to have problems because either his tissues are absorbing the insulin and the medicine is not able to do what it's supposed to do, or else it isn't absorbing like it's supposed to (I'm sorry, right now I can't think straight which way it is). But, anyway there you have it, for about 3 days each week he's pretty much going without much insulin at all (he's type 1 - dead pancreas). I sent him, about an hour ago by ambulance to the ER with blood sugars almost at 500. I'm waiting for the doctor to call me now. (Stanley doesn't like me to go there with him, so I stay by the phone.) Please pray that somehow the doctors can figure out about the absorbtion problem with his insulin. Thank you very much for keeping him in your prayers, he's a dear brother. Cheri |

Shalom y'all Many apologies for my duplicates. I'm not hitting the back button at all and I'm still getting dupes. Also, since about 2-3 days before they took the forum down last Sun a week ago, I have not received any email notifications. Am I the only one? Or is this a forum problem? Cheri |

9 | Rule and Reign over What? | 1 Cor 6:3 | skccab | 210997
Shalom y'all, I've got a question that's been boggling my mind for ages. The bible says that believers are to rule and reign with Messiah. OK, I've got that part easily enough, but if this is after (or also after) the millenium and great whtie throne judgement, what are we gonna rule and reign over???? There won;t be anything left that isn't a part of the Godly Family, will there? in a conundrum (???) :o) Cheri |

10 | What is the meaning of "the order of..." | Heb 1:1 | skccab | 209827
Shalom y'all, Meta brought this up in one of his posts, but I didn't want him to think I was "picking" on him over it - it just got me to wondering. I've spent the last 10 days trying to figure out the "order of Melchezidek" and the "Levitical order." That is what "the order" is and what does the word "order" pertain to? What I've come up with is this: Levitical order - animal, concurrant, continuous (almost like a 1 Jn. 1:9 prayer but a sacrifice instead) Melchezidek - himself, once (only he never did offer himself so why is it called the Order of Melchedizek?) Still have some work to do....:-) Anyone have something else? I'd be interested to know. Cheri |

11 | Audio study of Prophets | Ezek 1:1 | skccab | 209640
Shalom y'all Does anyone know of an online site that has a very good audio study of the individual prophets? A site that allows you to download audio teachings? I can't seem to find teachings from the prophets. Especially Ezekiel and Zachariah. Thank you in advance :-) Cheri |

12 | Need google help for timeline fulfullmen | Isaiah | skccab | 208955
Shalom y'all, In the book of Isaiah, especially, there are numerous passages that read something like: "within a year, this, that or the other thing will happen..." and it's God speaking to Isaiah. Is there a place on line that I can go to check this out, get the timeline and fulfillment? I can't seem to think of what to google, what search words to use. Any help? Thanks Cheri |

13 | Thank you to all | Rom 5:3 | skccab | 208898
Shalom y’all, It took 9 days, but I’m back!! They finally kicked me out!! I just want to thank each and every one of you for your prayers and thoughts. I’ve never known what it is like to have such a family throughout the world. I can say, it’s nice. There were times when I would be having a terrible time breathing and getting scared, and I’d feel the hand of prayer on me and God’s shalom so heavy it was tangible. I appreciated the phone calls, it was so nice to be talking to people all the way across the world and in just the next city. It was wonderful and comforting. I pray I can some day return the comfort. Once again, thank you so much. Cheri |

14 | Purpose of Tree of LIfe in New Jerusalem | Bible general Archive 4 | skccab | 208211
Shalom all OK Azure :-) since I changed the theme of that thread, guess I should be the one to start this new one, so here's that question again, posed originally to Chuck because that's his forte so to speak, but I would love to hear from anyone who knows this answer!! I have wondered about the tree of life in the New City, but for different reasons; maybe you can help me. If we have glorified bodies and sin has been cast into the lake of fire along with satan, and only the "saved" are present, what do we need the tree of life for, why do the "nations" need to be healed, and healed of what? Can you help me out here? I've wondered about this for a long long time :-) Cheri |

15 | Adam and Eve Perfect or Flawed | 1 Tim 2:11 | skccab | 208124
Shalom y'all, The little discussion we had going earlier about lying got me to thinking about this particular scene in Gen. 3:3 when Eve said to the serpent that God said not to even touch the fruit. We know that God created everything perfect, nothing was flawed, so I don't think it could be she was confused or forgetful (after all there wasn't a whole lot to remember, just don't eat from that tree over there, how hard is that?) And she hadn't eaten the fruit yet, so sin has not yet entered the picture. Her spirit was still alive and well. How did she know to lie since that would come with the knowledge of good and evil from the forbidden tree? (I do realize that Adam could have told her that, but then the only change would be how did Adam know to lie?) Does anyone have any thoughts on this, or better yet, done some study on it? Just thinking :-) Cheri |

19 | Ezekiel's Temple updated | Bible general Archive 4 | skccab | 203091

20 | Ezekiel's Temple | Bible general Archive 4 | skccab | 203089
Shalom y'all, I hope you are all having a glorious, wonderful, fun day (while remembering all those who have lost their lives, and those yet serving to make it all possible). I know we let scripture interpret scripture, but here I would just like people's understanding. Ezekiel Temple chapters, chapters 40-47, is this a literal temple, is it in heaven, it is in the millenium, is it in the new earth, it is just allegory, is it a metaphor? Thanks in advance for sharing. :-) Cheri |
