Greetings, We do have the word Easter used in the English translation. Acts 12:4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. The word in the Koine Greek is as follows, pascha, Greek 3957, Strong’s pascha, pas'-khah; of Chaldee origin [compare Hebrew 6453 (pecach)]; the Passover (the meal, the day, the festival or the special sacrifices connected with it) :- Easter, Passover. Greetings, It was the version that Paul used! Acts 12:4 (KJV) And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. Just kidding but it is the KJV but I'm not saying I agree with it. When it comes down to it I go with the NASV when splitting hairs, if I can't figure it out in the Koine Greek. CDBJ |

CDBJ: I use the INTERLINEAR BIBLE, CODED WITH STRONGS CONCORDANCE NUMBERS, by Jay P. Green Sr. published by Hendreckson Publishers. That said "passover" only the KJV used easter. I just can not bring myself to say anything but Resurrection Sunday. That really says it all, and takes the eggs out of the most Holy day we celebrate. Blessings brother. justme |
