Do you think God is going to torture somone for ever and ever? Rev 20:10 talks about it and if he's going to torture somone forever, even if it's the devil himself i cannot serve that God. And how can you enjoy heaven if you know that God is torturing somone? This isnt really an important question, but i wanted to see you guys opinion. |

Dear Wanna... Your statement about Revelation 20:10 indicates that you are, indeed, capable of serving a god. You've asserted your unwillingness to serve the Lord God if He doesn't live up to your expectations. Consequently, you demonstrate your faithfulness to the god of self. You also remain faithful to your god of self in deeming it to have a superior sense of justice regarding sin. These factors, in turn, cause you to lightly esteem God's mercy (Luke 7:47; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11). It isn't surprising, therefore, your desire to place something else above the authority of Scripture. Only through the Scriptures will you be able to rightly understand the supreme righteousness of God, the desperate falleness of man, and the unspeakable gift of redemption. Your resistance to the Scriptures simply confirms their correctness. God's mercy begins with His Word (Psalm 51:4). You won't accept any of this, but we will still pray that God will grant you mercy. In Him, Doc |
