Shabbat Shalom T'oma Actually, I was speaking more of Shabbat, Sukkot, etc., the feasts and observances found in Lev., not Chanukkah (that one was indeed man created). Those (found in the Torah) were instigated by the Lord and to be observed forever. Cheri |

Cheri, not that it matters but I noticed you changed the spelling of Hanukkah to one of the many other English spellings. I trust it wasn't because you felt I misspelled it myself. :) Like my Hebrew name T'oma - English doesn't have the correct letters to sound out proper Hebrew. Anyways, it made me chuckle. As far as keeping the OT - my wife and I just returned from the East Coast in the United States. We practiced Deut 14:22-27's principle of tithing. Hopfully, you also enjoy giving to yourself as commanded. Blessings! |

Shalom T'oma, I didn't recognize your name as Hebrew, what does it mean? And no, I didn't think you spelled Chanukkah wrong - I know some spell it and pronounce it with a chet and some with a hei - I actually don't know which way is correct. Glad you got a laugh - I'm from Atlanta Ga and you can really tell it when I'm trying to pronounce Hebrew words, it's a riot. And yes, to the best of one's ability, I am Torah-observant. Cheri |
