Thank you for your reply however it is necessary not to personalise these matters. There is no dispute over God's Sovereignty. Nor is this a matter of my faith. With respect you are stating the obvious. Colin Urquart was a man of faith and states the opposite to your interpretation. The question is about spirit filled Christians, living within the will of God. With respect you are using a traditional safety clause if prayers are not answered then it is the fault of the Christian who is acting in their own strength. This does not hold water with unbelievers and is not consistent with the scriptures quoted. Also it is a major issue for some believers. This needs handling much more sensitively than you suggest.Remember faith the size of a mustard seed!!! As men of Christ we have to stand firm and give answers and we need the wisdom of God through the Holy Spirit to guide and empower. Bless you Ian |

Ian, Let me also point you to Abram and Sarai's prayer for a child. God told him personally that he would have an heir and be the father of many nations. Correct me, anyone, if I'm wrong, but it took 25 years for that prayer, that promise to be fulfilled. It doesn't always happen in our desired time-frame, but God is faithful to His word, in His time!
