Thank you for your reply however it is necessary not to personalise these matters. There is no dispute over God's Sovereignty. Nor is this a matter of my faith. With respect you are stating the obvious. Colin Urquart was a man of faith and states the opposite to your interpretation. The question is about spirit filled Christians, living within the will of God. With respect you are using a traditional safety clause if prayers are not answered then it is the fault of the Christian who is acting in their own strength. This does not hold water with unbelievers and is not consistent with the scriptures quoted. Also it is a major issue for some believers. This needs handling much more sensitively than you suggest.Remember faith the size of a mustard seed!!! As men of Christ we have to stand firm and give answers and we need the wisdom of God through the Holy Spirit to guide and empower. Bless you Ian |

Shalom Ian, I'm very sorry that you're not happy with the responses you've received. But be it known that your prayer for right answers HAS been answered. You just don't like what the answer is. Most of the time, the "answer" God gives is not so easily seen, it must be heard, and it's very often "No." We don't like to hear No, so we don't and keep on praying, while complaining that God isn't answering us. Even when we are praying in God's will, sometimes it's No. Don't you know that there were folks praying for Elisha to get well? But he didn't, he died of his sickness (2 Kings 13:14). But God did answer the prayers - he's no longer sick!! Cheri |
