Greetings, How does one actually differentiate between a vision and a dream? Be that as it may, if it is contrary to what is stated in Scripture it is in opposition to the Word of God and it can’t be truth even though the experience might have been very real to the one having the vision or dream. At any rate it’s a good opportunity to witness for the Lord to the person if they don’t know Christ personally. Matthew 22:44 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? Scripture states that Christ is still “seated” at the right of the Father. Scripture does point out that a believer was escorted when he left this life but the escorts are angels and it doesn’t say if this is always the case with believers. Luke 16:22 (A) So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. My understanding, CDBJ |

I like what you said there Chuck. I gotta agree Brother. Dreams and visions can be, and all too often are, deceiving, even when they are from God, we can get it wrong! Look at Jacob and how he responded to his dream, in Gen 28:12-16 God reveled to him, truths about, Jesus Christ, surly, He, is what we should see in the picture given in his dream. But look what Jacob thought, Gen 28:17 He was afraid and said, "How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven." Obviously, that place, was not the House of God, or, The Gate of Heaven. Jesus is the Gate to Heaven! So even Jacob was wrong about his dream. Note: He didn't have what we have, and that is, the "complete" cannon of, The Holy Word Of God! Who are we, to think we, can interpret a dream? You are so right my friend, Scripture is our only guide. God bless John |
