Hello Nsquared, and welcome to the forum. You say, “Christianity emphazises alot on equality and the aspect of forgiveness?” What is it exactly that you mean by forgiveness? Are you saying that God just excuses our sin condition or what? I think I can answer your question but I am not sure if we are on the same page and I don’t want to give you bad information. Have a great day, CDBJ |

Thank you for your consideration, but what i mean is since God tells us that as long as we admit to our sins and express them to God, we are excused right? Well, also you have to learn from your mistakes and not do them again, but if the overall aspect is always about forgiving, then what is the point of judging whether or not you are egliable for heaven? How is that going to push humans not to sin? Just cause we get judged yet we are forgiven through a simple sign of admiting to our sins? | ||||||

Hi Nsquared, That's an interesting post and it does all seem rather redundant doesn’t it? God hates sin, and because of His character, “He must” punish sin and the Bible says that we are all sinners. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; So how can God just up and forgive us of our sins if we confess them, as you say? Can God just up and excuse us for our sins? That would destroy the eternal perfect character of God. It sure seems like a pickle; God must punish sin, as the Bible says, but then that would mean separating us from God forever and God doesn’t want that because He loves us so much. God devised a fantastic plan where as He could satisfy His perfect righteousness and yet provide a way that we could spend eternity with Him in heaven. Have a great day, CDBJ |
