Subject: Why are we judged? |
Bible Note: Hi Nsquared, That's an interesting post and it does all seem rather redundant doesn’t it? God hates sin, and because of His character, “He must” punish sin and the Bible says that we are all sinners. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; So how can God just up and forgive us of our sins if we confess them, as you say? Can God just up and excuse us for our sins? That would destroy the eternal perfect character of God. It sure seems like a pickle; God must punish sin, as the Bible says, but then that would mean separating us from God forever and God doesn’t want that because He loves us so much. God devised a fantastic plan where as He could satisfy His perfect righteousness and yet provide a way that we could spend eternity with Him in heaven. Have a great day, CDBJ |
