Amen to your post, it was beautifully articulated! However, I understand one of EdB's points and would be interested in hearing your response. He seemed to make the point (if I interpreted it correctly) that if God holds the degree of sovereignty over our lives and actions that you believe He does, then where does our personal responsibility lie in our relationship with God? That is a great question, would be interested in your take on it:) God Bless, Figgy |

Figgy: Where God is concerned, are there 'degrees of sovereignty'? I do not necessarily mean to imply anything one way or the other. Just thought I'd ask. Grace to you, Radioman2 |

Hi Radioman, I believe the bible teaches God does as He wishes, carries out what He wills and no one can change that or thwart His plans. His dominion over the world is over the greatest things and the smallest things. I don't think that definition allows for degrees of sovereignty. What are your thoughts? God Bless, Figgy |

Figgy: My thoughts are that I am in agreement with you. The concept of God having a greater or lesser degree of sovereignty is totally foreign to me. That would be similar to asserting that there are degrees of omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence. Grace to you, Radioman2 |
