Greetings Eric! May I answer? You misquoted Ex. 23:20-21 - "Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. 21Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him." No where does this passage say that the angel will become their god! This passage speaks of an angel sent by God to Israel. They were instructed BY GOD to obey this angel. It was said OF the angel that he would not pardon their transgressions, not of God. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Hello Tim, Your right: "No where does this passage say that the angel will become their god!" I was looking for that, but failed to mention it. How Eric could see this angel as Satan from this passage of scipture is the real mistery. I wonder if the misconception that the God of the Old Testament is a different God than the God of the New Testament is what Eric's faith is built upon. If so, he is in for a very rude awakening.
