1 | Do retards go to Hell? | Bible general Archive 2 | Deafawake | 139203
MILLIONS of persons have been taught by their religions that hell is a place where people are tormented. According to the Encyclopædia Britannica, “The Roman Catholic Church teaches that hell . . . will last forever; its suffering will have no end.” This Catholic teaching, the encyclopedia goes on to say, “is still held by many conservative Protestant groups.” Hindus, Buddhists and Muhammadans also teach that hell is a place of torment. No wonder that people who have been taught this often say that if hell is such a bad place they do not want to talk about it. 2 This raises the question: Did Almighty God create such a place of torment? Well, what was God’s view when the Israelites, following the example of peoples who lived nearby, began to burn their children in fire? He explains in his Word: “They have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, a thing that I had not commanded and that had not come up into my heart.”—Jeremiah 7:31. 3 Think about this. If the idea of roasting people in fire had never come into God’s heart, does it seem reasonable that he created a fiery hell for those who do not serve him? The Bible says, “God is love.” (1 John 4:8) Would a loving God really torment people forever? Would you do so? Knowing of God’s love should move us to turn to his Word to find out just what hell is. Who go there, and for how long? To learn more about this subject copy and paste the following link. Enjoy http://www.watchtower.org/library/w/2002/7/15/article_02.htm |

2 | The Devil cannot be punished, can he? | Bible general Archive 2 | Pastor Glenn | 139219
"deaf Awake", If there is no hell, then the Devil cannot be punished, can he? Scripture says that hell is prepared for the Devil and his angels (Demons): Matthew 25:41 "Then He will also say to those on the left hand, "Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: Those that follow the Devil will join him in his place that was prepared for his punishment. You asked: "...does it seem reasonable that he created a fiery hell for those who do not serve him? The Bible says, “God is love.” (1 John 4:8) Would a loving God really torment people forever? Would you do so? Knowing of God’s love should move us to turn to his Word to find out just what hell is..." But the scripture says: Jeremiah 23 16Thus says the LORD of hosts: "Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They make you worthless; They speak a vision of their own heart, Not from the mouth of the LORD. 17They continually say to those who despise Me, "The LORD has said, "You shall have peace"'; And to everyone who walks according to the dictates of his own heart, they say, "No evil shall come upon you."' While most of us agree that the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the best, but it is incomplete without also proclaiming the consequences (hell fire). Pastor Glenn |

Jeremiah 23:21 21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. Everyone has the freewill choice to accept or reject Jesus; not by coercion. The result of rejecting the dictates of your own heart(accepting Christ) is simply eternal separation from immortality. Revelation 2:11 11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769. |

Hello He-man, I am a bit confused by why your comments here conflict with the scripture that you used to create your profile. You said here: "Everyone has the freewill choice to accept or reject Jesus; not by coercion. ..." co·er·cion : the use of express or implied threats of violence or reprisal (as discharge from employment) or other intimidating behavior that puts a person in immediate fear of the consequences in order to compel that person to act against his or her will; Is it a "threat" to warn people that their enemies are coming down the street to destroy them? (Eze 33) Or, is it a "threat" to ask a drowning person to grab hold of the Life Line to be saved? Or, is it a threat to tell someone to leave the house because it is on fire? If they refuse to listen to the warning they are already condemned by their situation. Jesus spoke about this condemnation in John chapter 3: Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Joh 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. Joh 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. Then you said: "... The result of rejecting the dictates of your own heart(accepting Christ) is simply eternal separation from immortality." This is where the confusion comes. Because in your profile you quote: "These are things which I hold as truths and duties:... ... Matt 13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth" So I repeat the scripture: Jeremiah 23 16Thus says the LORD of hosts: "Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They make you worthless; They speak a vision of their own heart, Not from the mouth of the LORD. 17They continually say to those who despise Me, "The LORD has said, "You shall have peace"'; And to everyone who walks according to the dictates of his own heart, they say, "No evil shall come upon you."' DO not frustrate the GRACE of God. For if we are saved by our "Faith" (which comes from God), and this "Faith" is a FREE GIFT from God...then how in the world do YOU DO ANYTHING?? Works come by FAITH. Not the other way around my friends. Jesus Christ is the PROPITIATION for SINS for the WHOLE WORLD.....for if not by GRACE...then certainly not by the LAWS. All men fall short of the GLORY of God. IT is by his GRACE alone we shall be with him in the KINGDOM..NOT BECAUSE OF SOMETHNG YOU DID!! We (humans), can not except this: That it is not in your control. We like to believe in "Free Will". Show me where it says you have "FREE WILL" in the bible. I will show you numerous scriptures that say you do not (Including the Book of Enoch). For we wrestle not with people, but principalities of Power. And who can seperate us from the Love of God? Can you??? If you can you prove God a liar...and he is no liar. Churches/Religion wants you to believe its a Free Will "Choice" thing....when in fact it was predetermined form the Get go. God chooses..whome he chooses...END of STORY. So all who thing they DO THINGS making them WORTHY OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD...I have this to say to you: "We played for you and sang for you...we saved souls in your name..." God will look at you and say...depart from me.....For I never Knew you. If you knew him..and he knew you from the foundation of the World...then you would hear him...and trust in him. "For by grace are ye saved through faith: and that not of yourselves; it is the GIFT OF GOD" Ephesians 2:8 "For we walk by faith, not by sight" 2 Cor 5:7 "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life (what?? perhaps the awful things we do in this life is what he's saying...the sinning you all believe you are doing...), nor angels (satan), nor principalities, nor pwoers, nor things to present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to seperate us from the Love of God, which is in Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 8:38-39. "I..even I, am he that blotteth out they transfressions (sins) for mine own sake (what? Not because YOU did something???!!! WOW), and will not remember thy sins" Isaiah 43:25 Let him who can hear,...hear. |
