To answer your first question, the reason there is so much controversy over translations is people don't like change. Also people have a tendency to think what ever they have is the best. It is like two kids arguing over chocolate and vanilla ice cream. The Septuagint is the Old Testament written in Greek. It is safe to say every authentic translation of the Old Testament has used the Septuagint. So unless we are to learn Greek I think the Septuagint has been put to very good use. EdB |
