I am not a Mormon therefore it matters not to me whether Joseph Smith translated anything correctly. Joseph Smith was a mystic who was heavily steeped in gnosis. I know how he got the revelations and I am thankful for them. The First Vision stories and Egyption mummy fables were neccessary so that the blind will not see and the deaf not hear. As Jesus intentionally spoke on parables for that very purpose did Joseph also teach in Parables. | ||||||

Paraclete, your claim that you know how Joseph Smith got the revelations and that you are thankful for them is either a contradiction, or, perhaps you REALLY don’t know “how he got them”. Given you the benefit of my doubt, IF you "know" about the 1823 book "View of the Hebrews" by Ethan Smith, from which the Mormon's first false prophet, Joseph Smith, "got some of his revelations", how does that tie in with Jesus using "parables" to teach truth and Smith using "parables" to teach blantant lies?
