As soon as we leave these bodies we are with the Lord. 2 Cor. 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. The words (present with) are the Koine Greek words ENDEMSAI PROS. The fuller meaning from the Greek is (to be at home and face to face with the Lord) and it will be instantaneous. The trial that you mention for the believer has already happened and Jesus took our punishment. If your comment is in reference to the judgment seat of Christ, the Greek word in this case is BEMA seat. 2 Cor. 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. This is not a judgment of sin but for reward. It is the same as those who are in Olympic competition; the bad (KAKOS) the same as lacking, are not condemned they just don't receive the higher point rating for rewards. 1 Cor. 3:11-15 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. Notice, NO SIN mentioned, that was taken care of in the foundation work. Happy Easter, CDBJ |

Thank you very much! CDBJ! Your answer really helped me a lot. In fact your answer made me get two birds at one stone. I mean before i am not clear about trial and judgement. I will continue thinking of the bible verses you mentioned here. Sorry could please give me an explanation in a plain language on "that every one may receive the things done in his body"? God bless you and happy every day! wang |
