1 | What is your opinion of interpretation? | NT general Archive 1 | Christian Marine | 30688
I believe the the Lord taught us that some things we will not know here. He also told Thomas that, to paraphrase, Faith is more important than Knowledge. I think that all the answers we NEED are in scripture. I believe the Holy Spirit will reveal them to us as we are able to understnad them, not before. I think it helps to read and study other nore focused commentators but we must NOT substitute their "interpretations" for the absolutes in the Bible. Their work is the result of the Holy Spirit talking to them. He may use them and theri knowledge to speak to us but we cannot substitute their writings for study of God's word and prayer for understanding. Just my opinion!
