Ephesian 5:22-30, Paul had given us the idea of how men and women relate in Christian marriage. C.S. Lewis, in his book "The Four Loves" Chapter 4 - eros, did comment that only when the husband sacrifice himself to and love his wife as what Christ did to the church, the husband should claim himself the head of the wife. (Sorry, I have only got a Chinese version this book. Therefore, I cannot quote exactly the wordings of Mr. Lewis'. I trust someone on the forum is able to provide the oringal quote.) God bless Shalom Azure |

I appreciate your bringing to our attention Ephesians 5:22-30, and the instruction that God provides us through Paul concerning responsibilities of husbands and wives in Christian marriage. Again, I am certain in my curiosity and study of the text I stated, from the book of Genesis. If you have any comment or obervations with this regard, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks. | ||||||
