This chapter is speaking in reference to the actual logistical structure in handling the church members (in most of this widows). Directly here the widows should be supported by the head of the household if he is a member of the church and able to support her. In 1Tim 5:4 it specifically speaks to the children or grandchildren providing for thier widowed mother. This is all in context of the logistical grace support that God has ordained in the administration of the Family structure. |
