Why four gospels?? "...Every fact is to be confirmed by the testimony of two or three witnesses". II Cor. 13:1. "For there are three that testify: v.8 the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement" I John 5:7-8 The fact that confirmation of a thing normally needs to come through more than just one witness is a biblically principle that goes all the way back to the Old Testiment.
