In 1 Cor. 5:1-13, Paul uses some very direct language regarding how the church should handle members who are actively engaged in homosexuality. My question is this. Are there any other references in the Bible giving guidance regarding how to deal with a member who is actively engaged in any other sin? I'm specifically looking for any text that says we are "not to keep company with" members who are actively engaged in sinful practices of any other kind? | ||||||

well, I know that it says that if a brother sins against you to show him his fault (Matthew 18:15-19) and it continues on in ways if the brother continues not to listen, another place where it says something about sinning and how to handle it is in Jude 22-23, as a christian you should try to help your brother, or sister, when they are in sin but you need to show mercy mixed with fear " hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh" (jude 23) I hope this sheds some light on your question. |
