Greetings Clayton, The person here on SBF that I mentioned is a Christian of Christians, just born Jewish!! The man is extremely knowledgeable of the NT (as well as the OT) and Jesus and Church history, and everything Christian. I think he teaches Biblical Doctrine (if he doesn't, he should!!) To answer your question on Dt. 6:4, I think the answer is Yes. As far as I know EVERYONE on this Forum is Christian. Cheri P.S. you can email me if you wish to talk further about Messianic Judiasm, as this is a Christian Forum. OK? |

Cheri. The Jews don't use the Shema to prove God is One because Ehad can also mean a group of one, or a man and woman become one(Ehad). I forget the exact place where it's more emphatic, sorry. MJH |

Shalom MJH, Thanks for the info. That's just my understanding, as I prefaced my answer. I actually thought that the word echad is the reason we as Christians can say, "God in Three Persons," a compound singularity. Tax your brain for me please, I would love to know what verse is on the tip of your mind for the Jews thinking. It's probably the perfect one, and I have no idea what it might be. I'm looking forward to learning about it. I'll also ask my pastor or some of our Jewish congregants this Saturday (maybe they'll know what it is). Still learning and loving it :o) Cheri |
