Raidoman2, You judge and attack men of God and then you push your recommended web site? I went to Kenneth Copeland's web site and this is his mission statement: The mission of Kenneth Copeland Ministries and Eagle Mountain International Church is to teach Christians worldwide who they are in Christ Jesus and how to live a victorious life in their covenant rights and privileges. The fulfillment of that mission takes place when those believers become rooted and grounded enough in God's Word to reach out and teach others these same principles. We are called to lead people, primarily born-again believers, to the place where they operate proficiently in the biblical principles of faith, love, healing, prosperity, redemption and righteousness, and to the place where they can share those principles with others. We are called to assist believers in becoming rooted, grounded and established in the Word of God by teaching them to give God's Word first place in their lives (Colossians 1:23, Psalm 112). We are called to reveal the mysteries, the victorious revelations of God's Word, that have been hidden from the ages (Colossians 1:25-28). We are called to build an army of mature believers, bringing them from milk to meat, from religion to reality. We are called to train them to become skillful in the word of righteousness, to stand firm in the spiritual warfare against the kingdom of darkness (Hebrews 5:12-14, Ephesians 6:10-18). We are called to proclaim that "Jesus Is Lord" from the top of the world to the bottom and all the way around. The vision is being accomplished through the ministry efforts of Kenneth Copeland Ministries, Eagle Mountain International Church and staff on a worldwide scale through the local church and the use of television, campaigns, conventions, books, tapes, recordings and personal correspondence and is multiplied through the financial support of other ministries of like purpose. Before you continue your campaign to discourage others, why not read what Kenneth has to say, here is his site; http://www.kcm.org/ God bless |

Inmyheart Go read the mission statement of the Mormon church, there are very few that would disagree with it, yet we know them to be a cult. Do you expect any ministry in their mission statement to say we are here to distort, convolute, and basically misuse the Word of God? Of course they wouldn't do that, deception comes in like cancer so slowly and silently you don't know it is there, but is deadly none the less. EdB |

I certainly agree with your caution about accepting 'mission statements' at face value. However, as one who (admittedly) knows relatively little about Copeland's 'theology', I find the criticisms offered here confusing. Most of them would be persausive only to those already convinced. What specific unscriptual practice does the Copeland 'theology' support or encourage? Do the proponents agree that his theology does so support or encourage the cited practice? |

winstonchurchill Basically He equates man to God's level either by elevating man by saying we are god, or we have been given all authority we just need faith to exercise it. Or by devaluing God to our level, by saying God has to do what we have faith for, or God has to answer our prayers. Basically turning God into a servant of man. He goes on and assigns a physical body to the Father being 6 ft and weighing 250 lbs. To saying that if you want a 95 foot yacht and have enough faith God has to give it to you because the Bible says God gives us the desires of our heart. If this is enough for you either watch his program, read his book or read Christianity in Crisis. If you do any of these looking for error you will soon see it. EdB |
