Johnny Do not get hung up in legalism. What is Christmas today to a real Christian? Is it a Catholic mass? No! Is it a pagan feast? NO! Is it another day to spend money? No! It is a day set aside to celebrate the birth of our Savior upon this earth. Jesus laid down the riches and glory of heaven and stepped through the womb of a virgin into this world. That exact day is lost to us and we now celebrate the occasion on Dec 25th. We are celebrating the birth, of our Savior who set us free from sin, and Who has promised one day to return to take us home to be with Him. That is what we are celebrating and nothing else. I get worried when people start trying to find things that are wrong instead of fixing the things that are broken. To me if you have a problem with the day then your looking at the day and not the Man. EdB |

Johnny There is no scripture that says if the disciples didn't do it you better not nor is there scripture that says if the disciples did it you had better. If you can't celebrate Christmas as a day set aside by the world to honor Christ then don't. But don't bind yourself up in legalism. and don't let others bind you in legalism. Col. 2:16 Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day— |
