Hello Jim I signed up for one module (a semester's worth), turned in one assignment, and quit. I was never comfortable with the program either. I knew going in that their accreditation was worthless in the U.S., but I was looking for the knowledge rather than prep for a graduate degree. If you want an unaccredited education, go ahead, or check out Columbia Evangelical Seminary (http://www.columbiaseminary.edu/) which is somewhat unique in that they require all their instructors to have graduate degrees in a regionally accredited colleges. What about other on-line bible colleges or institutes? I too am looking to work toward either a certificate or bachelor's degree. So far, I've explored Briercrest (Canada) and Moody Bible Institute. Can't see a lot of difference except in price. With the exchange rate studying in Canada is a bargain for those of us in the U.S. Anybody with experience at either of the above? Or do you have other alternatives. Thanks. | ||||||

Gould55: These are just my thoughts about on-line line Bible colleges. There are Seminary classes as well. No matter where you go DO NOT TAKE A CLASS UNLESS YOU GET TEANSFERABLE CREDIT! There are some bible schools that you can spend as much for a non acredited education as a fully acredited institution. So cost may, or may not be the true value of a Bible class. Even with carefull planing a person can lose credits when transfering from one college to another. My belief is Biblical education in a good solid Bible believing college, is an investment that will last you into eternity! My Bible education started when I was 38 and with 4 children and a very wonderfully supportive wife, I went to Grand Canyon University, in Phoenix, AZ, and then to Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, KS. My wife went as well and both got our BA and M Div. degrees. That experience lives in us everyday. No one can ever take away what you learned. God bless you as you make this very wonderfull jorney! agape, justme |

It's interesting that you attended Grand Canyon - the President of Grand Canyon is a Trinity grad, and one of their main spokespersons. To tell you the truth, I'm not so much concerned about the issue of accreditation as I am about the quality of the education. That's what I'm really looking for an opinion on. Looking around on the web, it seems like there are an awful lot of pastors who attend or have attended Trinity. I'd really like to hear what they think about the school. Thanks, Jim D. |
